[Q] Display Timeout Reverts to One Minute - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone notice that when the Xoom "sleeps (screen times out)" and then wakes up the timeout has reverted to one minute. I also saw this behavior when I had an Acer Iconia A500.
I'm using "Screen Off by Iwashisoft" - could this be the issue?

Screen timeout stops working

Hi All,
I did a factory reset a few days ago and after that I have observed that the screen does kit timeout even if it is set to 30 seconds. I have to manually go into the settings and set to 30 seconds. It works five for a while and then again the problem Occurs. Is this a hardware issue?

[Q] xoom timeouts when its not set to

Screen Display Timeout

I want to set the screen timeout to never instead of 15 seconds, but when I go change the settings in the Display tap it always resets back to 15. Has anybody encountered this and found a solution? Thanks!
On my SGS2, I used an app called Screebl to keep the screen powered on when in a specific orientation, or at least when above a specified angle. Might that at least solve your problem partly?

Yes, I already have Screebl installed, but even when I set the screen timeout inside the preferences to 10 minutes the general screen timeout shows 5 minutes. It's all very strange.
Maybe these two can help you out:

I'm not sure why the setting isn't working for you - I just set it to "Never" and it stuck just fine...
Are you on .26 firmware? Also, there is an option in Developer Settings that says to never turn the screen off while plugged in - that may help. But again, I would look into why the "normal" setting isn't working for you....

Well I just outright uninstalled Screebl and now the settings stick, so it's a choice between orientation based screen on settings or doing it manually. I'll have to see what my usage patterns are like to decide. And yes I'm on .26, rooted but not unlocked yet.

screen timeout issue

i just got my note3 the other day. i changed the screen timeout from the default 30 seconds to 5 minutes. then whenever i power off and on the phone, the screen timeout is back to default 30 seconds.
i am running stock android 4.3 and model N9005.
anyone has the same issue?

i was searching this issue online when someone mentioned the 'profile scheduler' app has the screen timeout setting for 30 seconds. that seems to be the issue for me.

Screen Timeout Setting Keeps Changing

Have my Screen Timeout set to Keep Screen On on my LG G3 running 4.4.2 and something keeps resetting it back to 30 seconds. I've posted on the LG forums with no response. I've tried running Log Cat but I'm apparently too dumb to figure out how to find out what's causing the setting to change. Any thoughts?
Bump... anyone?
I think you can set the timeout on display setting, set time as you want it.
Thanks yeah... I know. I have it set to not turn off. But it still reverts to 30 seconds periodically.
I have set 2 minute timeout on my phone, and its work fine, but it will be reverts to 30 seconds if the battery is low (on state < 15%) . I'm not quite sure but i think your phone timeout setting periodically reverts is because your phone is in low battery state
My battery has never been below 50% so that's not it.
Thanks though!
