Has anybody seen a heart over their battery symbol? I just replaced the battery on DVP, and its now showing a heart symbol over the battery. The heart is still showing there no matter what % the battery is at! Any ideas what that is?

You can still text and make calls, but it won't retrieve data for emails etc or run background apps.
I keep mine on.
I'm guessing this is a Mango feature? I can't find it on my Focus.

I would, but I just had my phone replaced due to bricking, and my new one is having a lot of issues. I don't want this one to brick and them not replace it because Mango is installed on it.

Back up your phone! The only bricking I've heard about on WP7 is from flashing completely custom ROMs
Aww, yep im running Mango, and I have the battery saver mode on. Thank you! And I would highly recommend upgrading to Mango too! You can always restore you phone through the Zune software, and you don't have to be Dev Unlocked. I had Mango on my other DVP (before I dropped it off a rollercoaster) and was able to restore it and exchange it no prob!

No, my phone bricked itself. I had backups from previous updates and they wouldn't work. It happened randomly, my phone reset itself and then gave me a "Storage card is not working" message. After that, it wouldn't boot past the Samsung screen.
(I know this isn't technically "bricking," but ok my phone was a brick with a nice Samsung logo displayed on it.)

Check for any stray apps. Install "Battery history for GB" app from market and check for apps that are using "wake lock" excessively.
I had a similar problem with my inspire. It seemed to be caused by a faulty usb cable. After I plugged my phone into my car charger it started working fine.
I have an Inspire 4G with the same problem. I doubt that it is an app, because I changed the rom 3 times so far. And with every one of them, the problem persists. Anyway, i'm trying the Battery log now.

Do you have any apps that you set up profiles for, i.e. Llama? They can be buggy sometimes with the screen commands.
I have the same problem. Going to have to waste my upgrade in august for a new inspire. I am trying battery history for gb now. IF anyone has any ideas, please lets us know. This is absolutely ridicolous.

annoying screen randomly turning on
Hey I've been having the same issue, my SGS I9000 international version keeps turning the screen on by itself randomly, I've flashed my phone back to stock Eclair 2.1 and then I went to Froyo, Cyannogen mode 7, ICS rom which I forgot the name of it, and then I'm running on the new value pack now which is 2.3.6XXJW4 however nothing has solved this damn problem, my screen keeps turning on and it's killing my battery, help please..!! I've tried to see if the sensor is not working, however I believe it's something else.. please let me know if someone has fix for this..!
I'm running LeeDroid v5.1.1 and haven't experienced this yet. I've been running it close to 2 weeks now with no real issues. Just an occasional lag spike on wake up.

Hi all
How can we leave wifi ON while we turn off the screen??
If you got the charger in, it will remain on.
But with the charger out. your wifi will be turned off and will be turned on again when you turn your screen back on.
Is there a registry hack so we can leave wifi on just like in windows mobile??
Thanks
You can't. It's not possible yet.
sucks.. hope microsoft will put in an option in apollo or tango.

What a pitty! I guess I'll be returning my Lumia 900 since I am sometimes in areas where there is no reception at and I still need work emails and whatssapp notifications.
Major design flaw if you ask me. No clue how MS believes this is a good behavior. At least give us the option!
Well, it's usually a good behaviour because it saves battery and that's pretty sure the reason why MS did it this way. But you're right a setting would be nice. Anyway, the data connection does still work.

If your cellular reception is not phenomenal, 3G drains battery way quicker than WIFI. I have done tests and seen that for myself. Again like you said, an option would be the best thing to do as everyone can be made happy with it.

rooted after a long sturggle since it was updated to 3.20
now after rooting i tried many roms. but problem was getting increased.
after around 10 roms i tried GizRoot_v_2::
my phone is breathing a bit . just a bit better so now i am sure that this is a os related problem.
i have taken 2-3 pics but it still restarts for sure. just the difference is that it is able to take few pics now.
so can any one recommend a new rom which is light enough and this problem is expected to be resolved in that rom?.

Perhaps you should go into your accounts and stop many of the the Google services from syncing. I only have Calendar, Contacts and Gmail on. That might help with battery life.

Why would they do that? The whole point of having a smartphone is having instantaneous access to your info and using these features. This is a known bug affecting many. Supposedly oneplus one will fix this with the next ota update.

Things running constantly so that you can have instantaneous and continuous access will drain battery-operated electronics. That's nothing unique with OPO, other smartphones, or any other electronic device which runs on a battery.

Yes it will drain your battery, but not excessively like the google services bug present in cm11s. Most people don't buy a smartphone to have everything turned off on it. My g3 has all the same things constantly active and battery is a beast on it.

That is a great suggestion for a temporary battery life improvement but hopefully the update coming from oneplus will resolve it permanently. I hope it does, I really like this phone but will switch over to the g3 permanently if it doesn't get fixed.

Hey guys. A couple of minutes ago something strange happened to my phone. I just don't understand what's going on with it. I'm so disappointed. I mean... this phone costed me some money and experiencing such a thing makes me regret so much I bought my Nexus 5. It is indeed the best phone I've ever had but if this is what it takes to have a phone for such a small period of time and already have so many problems with it then... I think it's just a waste of money.
I don't know what's going on with it - It just overheated horribly while scrolling down on Facebook. Never happened this before. I was just scrolling like normal and using FB like normal and all of a sudden my phone becomes so hot - quickly I opened System Monitor and CPU temp was at 60-67ºC.
Also if I go to the Battery Tab in System Monitor the graph is pretty strange in my opinion, I mean the battery´s temperature is going up and down all over again it's like the graph of a heartbeat record or something.
Don't get me wrong, the Nexus 5 is the best phone but if this is really what it takes to own a phone for straight two months.... I mean, really?

Though it sounds like a app causing you problems there l would recommend trying a custom rom and kernel l have always found the stock ROM to run a little warm. But maybe before doing that have a look at trickster in the play store you change many more things to help keep things cooler.
The stock kernels the culprit I'd say. It's set in a narrow freq towards the top end causing it to run hot. Use Elemental X.
