HI,
Is there any one got the Arabic ROM for sensation?
I have sensation middle east version but without Arabic. So, if I can get a link to the Arabic ROM I can flash it with no problems.
Thanks.

There is no Arabic ROM yet, but when flashing custom ROM on Sensation would become possible then you can flash Arabic patch from my thread. It should work on any custom ROM based on the same RUU

There is still no official Arabic ROM from HTC. Once it is ready you will receive it through FOTA if you your device was originaly a ME version.
HTC always does this.
Htc mea has posted on their Facebook page that sensation will be released with full Arabic support.
It should be clearly visible on the box that it's Arabic enabled.
It Will be released on Thursday in stores accross uae, also according to their Facebook page.
Here in Lebanon the official reseller said it should be available soon, I am just waiting for their SMS notification when it arrives.

Currently you can not install Arabic on any other Sensation except those sold for the Middle East (with Arabic on the outside of the retail box).
Also, the Arabic ROM has been leaked and is available here.

Thank You for your reply
After some readings I understood that I must wail till the bootloader is unlocked, but some said the HTC facebook page said that it will be these days and some said no news while others working on hacking it, is there any confirmed news about when it will be opened?
What about the root to install the apps that need root? can I install it? or it is depends on the bootloader unlocked also?
Hey I just got the update for Arabic support a couple of days ago, and though I wasn't gonna install it initially because I didn't need it I thought I might as well just get the update out of way and do it thinking that I'll be able to disable the arabic support. Now that it's updated I've noticed that it's fixed the issue I had with the default media player where it stopped the audio after about a minute but some of the text on the phone(like where it tells me how much unread mail I have) appears in arabic. How do I turn this off? Language selected is English(United Arab Emirates). Thanks.
you can do it from here unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php/public/revolutionary
Im on Orange and still no sign of official update.
Nope, I'm on debranded stock ROM

This is just getting a tad ridiculous. Networks are releasing there ICS bloatware updates before the unbranded phones get it. I guess HTC said they'll release it at the end of March so they have 2 days left, the clocks ticking HTC

Nope, totally stock Sensation, but tbh i can wait as my phone works fine on 2.3.4 Gingerbread,
Vodafone UK getting it right now
yes, Vodafone UK members with the HTC Sensation are getting the update as we speak. Just started rolling out about 30min ago.
Sucks taking ages for HTC to get on with it. I assume stock ppl are on cid HTC__001 and the Vodafone update is via their own cid? How else does the update differentiate between phones?

Yep, Vodafone users are getting the Vodafone build number (x.xx.161.x)

Hi Eddie I assume I should get the stock ota when its available using the ROM 1.50.401.1 and cid HTC__001. I am guessing no one had seen what the new firmware version for that will be yet?
Sent using tapatalk. HTC Sensation. debranded from three to f/w 1.50.401.1 stock build.
I'm guessing we should get ours in the next couple of days going by the nember of new threads starting where countries are getting the ICS update, Italy, Spain, Belgium.
Just checked again and nothing for UK unbranded
Can't believe everywhere in eu had got the ota except in UK unless you have a vodofone ROM. How annoying.
Sent using tapatalk. HTC Sensation. Debranded from three to f/w 1.50.401.1 stock build.
I know, gone are the days of apparant benefits of buying unbranded as opposed to directly from a network.....
Vodafone UK had the handset before it's SIM-free release and have had every OTA before the unbranded handsets too so the trend has continued it would seem
I just flashed the OTA file manually, a lot easier
even Greece & Switzerland has the update now, you know its a bad situation when a near-bankrupt country can have the update before the UK

Same for three they had it out early, but they are really sloow at releasing firmware because they like to customise such as disabling 2g overide but have small resources to do the customization.

Does look like we will be one of the last to get it sadly.
Might be the first to get a spelling-mistake-free one though!!
Ha true I am happy to wait aslong as they sort of most of the problems faced with the earlier releases. If not we can always play about in the Develop options!

I understand you refer to Greece with the near-bankrupt country and your surprise that they have it earlier than the UK, but Switzerland is actually rather advanced and quick in getting updates and devices.

No still looking for it, anyone got this ?
I've been searching high and low for about two days. Still no luck and stuck at version 1.11.707.131 (4.0.3).
So, anyone here with a villec2/S3 One S who have updated to 4.0.4 in Asia? My cid is HTC_044.
I'm trying to find out how the update has rolled out geographically and why me, in the Philippines, have not yet been updated to 4.0.4.
Oh, I would also like to find out the current Software version number of the Asia 4.0.4.
Thanks in advance! :good:
You can try opening the dialer and typing *#*#CHECKIN#*#* then check for software updates in settings.

Are you at 4.0.3 and trying to update to 4.0.4?
I have no idea why the update is so delayed for me. It's december and the 4.0.4 update for the S4 One S rolled out September or October here in the Philippines. More so, I have no Idea why HTC made an S3 One S! Shortage of chips... yeah right. :silly:

Fort what it's worth, i've lost any hope to receive that stupid update.
My CID is HTC__622, Hong Kong/CHN.
As for yours CIDs, mine too has not received OTA/RUU...so no way to update to 4.0.4.
Obviously i cannot use OTA for HTC__044.
I'm going to write to HTC and ask for some informations...even though i think it's useless.

Probably, One S4 users here in the Philippines, just like me, don't bought it here.. may it be abroad, or at widget city.. sad to hear that 4.0.4 haven't come to the One S3, and sad to say this, but it's more likely that the JB update for the S3 will take much time than the update for the S4, or worse, may never come..

4.0.4, the thread isn't about JB m8.

I have to say im with you mate. My One S S3 model is also with the Asian Firmware with 4.0.3 installled. I currently am in Malta (Europe) and still no luck with 4.0.4 or even Jellybean.

Phone feels very smooth and fast, camera looks improved and option for 60 fps video recording.
no zoe as expected.
need to test for couple of hours for further feedback....

Nice. (although I do not like sense 5, I love the beautiful Sense 4+).
Your firmware have is 2.33.707.33 means that rom is for ASIA WWE (Include many other countries as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia...) but not for India. Firmware for India normally is x.xx.720.xx (709-751 for Taiwan, 708 for HongKong).
Because the above information are based on HTC One X, One X+ so I am not sure that it would be right in case of Butterfly.

Did you manually check for the updates? I too didn't received the updates, even though the tick mark for automatic update notification is checked. I did check manually for update, first you will receive a software update for 5 mb, after installing it again check this time you will find the sense 5 update.
Many in India yet to receive the update. May be the wait is not more than couple of days, depending on the region.
