yea I saw this earlier on tech news on my phone and thought it was great!!
My next phone will be the HTC Sensation!! I heard it could be released as early as june 8th!! Hell Ya!!

Unfortunately the first shipment of that phone will most likely still have a locked bootloader :-(
Maybe HTC will give us the key tho?¿?¿

HTC is now the manufacturer to beat. Who else provides such a great product all the while supporting the customer/development communities. HTC is going to have many Motorola and Samsung converts. The Sensation (maybe not first gen) is looking better and better.

I was an HTC fan from day one.. now I will never even THINK of buying another mfg's phone.

Desire S vs Sensation

Hello, I am thinking of buyin one of the two phones. The difference in price is 85$.
Is it possible root the phone and install custom roms, kernels etc as it is with Desire S?

We are waiting for S-OFF to be disabled.. (disabling the security features that prevent installing custom roms, etc)
Rumors are that S-OFF is coming on Wednesday, so just about now.. but it's just a matter of time.
I'd go for the Sensation.

No not yet but it seems like Alpharevx has found a patch that will give s-off and then we will be able to flash custom roms, kernels etc. The release date is uknown but anyway HTC has announced that they will unlock the bootloader on late august. Desire s is a.very good phone but sensation is overall a better phone. If you have the extra money i would recomend sensation. I m not flaming you here but it would be better if you did a little search before posting. Your questions ( especially about s-off ) have been answered over and over and over and over again in this forum . Anyway hope i've helped. Cheers

What if OTA UPDATE Hit's - Before Alpharevx Exploit/S-0FF

I'm curious how would everyone here feel about the HTC OTA Update if it was to come on the 1st of August or more simply put prior to Alpharevx S-0ff and the OTA closes the exploit they "say" they have accomplished.
FUBAR IMO.
Any other thoughts on this?

The chances of HTC actually putting out the update anytime soon are very very slim and none IMO. The thought of what is the chances of snow in Fla in August comes to mind. I believe if they were really serious about putting out the unlock update that it would have been out by now or a definite time frame established( I believe they mentioned something about August to test and release in Sept but no time frame(just coming soon) for the US sensation, correct me if I am wrong.). I really have lost faith and respect for HTC. The only other phone that I have had that rivals the Sensation in issues is the G2X and I have them both at this time(I know I am a sucker for all the latest and newest electronic toys) They both have marvelous potential and excellent hardware but who knows if and when they will ever live up to their promises or becomes the phones they have the capability to be.

Was it a bad idea for Bell users to do the latest update? (1.35.666.1)

HTC is actually UNLOCKING the bootloader, not trying to lock the phone. Wait for 2 months for that to have happened. Rejoice if AlphaRev is earlier, if you want.

I wish Batman would get s-off before the Joker (aka Alpharevx)....!!!!!!!! I think they are full of it!!!! A video does not prove anything.

if you are a believer, you would believe even without seeing the video, but if your an unbeliever, you wouldn't believe even if Jesus is standing right in front of you.

I wouldn't care because I'm not about to install an OTA before I get S-OFF.

Congrats! I just ordered mine about 2 minutes ago. THANK YOU MOM! <3 LOL. After 2 days of trying to decide between this phone or the MTS4G, I chose this one. I wanted a keyboard but I played with the keyboard on the MTS4G at the store and it was not that good. I'm pretty sure I made the right decision
I upgraded my contract with a 2 year extension and got it for $129.99 even. Didn't even have to pay for shipping.

I'm gonna get mine in few days... so excited!

Congrats... Time to void that warranty.

In addition, we can confirm Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades will be coming later this year to the HTC Rezound, HTC Vivid, HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Desire HD. If your on T-Mobile, just flash a custom final ICS Rom and get rid of the bloatware, and get better tweaks
