Nightly builds - T-Mobile LG G2x

How often should I flash the new nightly builds? I know one practically comes out every day...im on 70...whats the difference?? Is there any benefit to updating it all the time?

If by best you mean latest, then here you go!
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/cm_p999_full-75.zip

i flash the nightlies once a week now. before the RC i used to do every 2 - 3 days.
also you can check to see difference in the changelog:
http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=p999

I think ima do the once a week thing...i just updated to 75...and it fixed the missed call notifications error which was annoying ...thanks

Anyone want to test a CM 7 kanged build I just made?

I just need someone to test this quick. It's based of the CM 7 source. Nothing has been changed or modified. I just compiled it. I will be doing daily builds everyday

Just let me know if it boots and runs ok. It should though
If I get confirmation it works I'm posting a thread under dev that I will update everyday

Why bother posting it in developer section if it's the same as the nightly except for the fact that you are compiling it yourself?

because when I mentioned I was doing builds for myself a bunch of people asked me to share them. That's why.. And before I even thought about posting them I asked Chris if it would be ok.

[ROM] Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 for Samsung Epic 4G

CM7.2.0: Android 2.3.7 for the Samsung Epic 4g
Release Notes
CM7 is still alive and kicking!
Please note: This is CM7.2, newer than the nightly builds (Which stopped at 45).
Aug 06 - 7.2.0 Released!
QBKing77 was kind enough to produce a couple of videos about Epic's CM7
Please note that these were done before WiMAX was released.
Download Links, Installation Instructions, and more!
Check the CM7 Status Page on the CM Blog for downloads! (Or the Get.cm link directly)
HOW TO REPORT BUGS OR PROBLEMS?
Was it a soft reboot or a "boot loop"? Run "adb logcat" and get me the full output.
Pastebin links preferred
Thanks to the community, and the developers!
Without them, this would not have been possible!
This rom is a result of many tiring hours from Decad3nce, noobnl, jt1134, Uberpinguin, nubecoder, mkasick, nullghost, dameon78, wispofattes, DRockstar, and many many other contributors.

For you to test battery i'd completely charge for an hour past 100% and while off and turn on and drain it however and till it actually dies out or very close to it. then re charge back up to 100% again and next cycle should be plenty better, im sure you know that, but just saying.
In attachments is from Nightly 45 1st pic is with airplane mode for about 5 hours or so, forgot to take pic of other screen that day
So we went back down from RC0 to Beta?

never were in the RC0 stage we were never in alpha nor beta kind of confusing i know? but even though it was pretty much stable it wasn't 99-100% stable so no RC was ever released to the best of my knowledge of that case

I'm not going to argue about what version it was, but I'm just curious. That's all.
Technically, 7.2.0-RC0 was the full Cyanogenmod version. This is the beta 1 for the Epic, with CM7.2.0-RC1, I think.
So yes, its slightly confusing

I remember having so much trouble using an alternative kernel. I had to do this.
Flash cm9, gapps, samurai kernel. Boot.
Go back into cwm flash cm9 and kernel. Boot
Then one more time I went back into cwm and flashed the gapps.
Then I could install apps and everything would work . Now I remember how much a pain in arse this ROM was with another kernel.

I think that was him having to hit the stop sign before learning to stop lol. What I mean is, he forgot to flash gapps the first 2 times and now he knows that he needs to flash the gapps after the rom in order for everything to work right lol

Quick Update On Battery!
Running On Samurai Tanto @ 100/1000 VR | Conservative w/UV. About medium brightness, no airplane mode probably would give me another hour or two on overall battery life and and probably another hour for screen on time.
I thought I could do much better but I guess if you drag it out with various usage all day it would last longer I got another screenie from 2 days ago I believe and got 4 Hours of screen on time but around a day for overall battery life and that was on Nightly 45 though

anyone actually working on miui??

so i haven't seen any development on either miui4 or the gb version has it stopped i tried flashing the older version on miui.us and i got phone fc and the newest version on the site the phone google apps just dissapear i believe i can start development on this if need be or if there is a stable enough miui rom out there?? 4g doesn't bother me don't use it anyway..
Jeffet was the person to maintain it for us. My guess is he stopped

i don't want to step on any toes.. i would just start from source or maybe work off his not sure but i would like to be able to contact him for permission via gtalk or pm but i noticed he has not been here for a while looking at the original post on miui...
I'm pretty sure in that thread he said that if he doesn't update that anyone can feel free to use his base
Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
ah ok cause it seems pretty solid other than the fact that everytime i make a phone call it fc's on both versions located on the miui.us site..think it might be smaili's
I posted the phone app fix in your kernel thread. And miui hasnt had an official gb update for its supported phones for like a month. And the miui GB git repo had not been updated for longer then that last i checked. So there really is nothing much to update.
As far as v4, ICS for shift is still not completely stable so MIUIv4 will have all its existing bugs and our ics bugs combined. I port every few builds that deck pushes and its just to buggy for me.
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA
ah ok cool cause all i got was fc's all over the place with dialers and phone apk thought it may be a smaili erorr at least that's what happened when i was building it on the bionic..
Logcats would be a huge help. Saying "fcs everywhere" doesn't help when trying to fix. Just a thought.

Skyrocket is now officially supported by AOKP

first off R4INS noticed this so rape his thanks button when you see him which is the 4th post of this thread
If you go to AOKP and look for skyrocket then you can download it. I would also imagine that you can find it in goo manager
Rootzwiki thread
I don't see it listed under the build 40 download page or under supported devices.
Do you have a direct link to where it shows it's supported?

It's there. Right above the stingray. Skyrocket, AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2.
Awesome to see all the official releases for the skyrocket that are starting to come out. At this rate, we won't need an official release from AT&T / Samsung to have fully working roms. Probably has something to do with the similarity between T-Mobile's S2 & the skyrocket.

I did the usual, wipe everything 2x (i know i know, some say it doesnt matter, i did it anyway)
flash rom, gapps, reboot.
wait, log in, wait.
i then flashed the new att radio, and the instigator kernal.
Reflashing now... maybe it was the kernal?

Been non-existent for me (so far)
It looks like the flood gates are opening. First T-Mo's official release. Then official CM9 support. Then official Roger's release, then the new ATT leak.. and now this! I don't know what to flash next anymore. Ooooh decision decisions!!

[Q] can anyone possibly help me out finding a AOKP MMS.apk?

im looking to update my MMS.apk in my current AOKP rom (its like the sept 2nd version released by rains right now) im looking for a more updated version with the pop-up notification function included, my phone is running so well i dont feel a complete update necessary but i would like this pop-up function quite badly, which i assume is achievable by backing up my current mms.apk and pasting/installing the more updated version in my system/apps folder followed by wiping caches and fixing permissions. if anyone has this .apk at ready disposal could you get me a link to it?
thanks in advance
