Is it working for you? It was working fine for me until I reverted back to my stock rom from CM7. Now when ever I take a screen shot the phone just freezes and I gotta pull the battery in order for it to start working. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I recently flashed weapon g2x rom. Everything was cool til I woke my phone and tried unlocking it but the screen was unresponsive. I do a battery pull phone starts up up and screen is fine. Screen goes to sleep so I wake it up and try sliding to unlock but its unresponsive. Please help. BTW I am not putting any blame on weapon rom Dev team.

Did you properly wipe before you flashed the ROM? Is this happening on a clean install? (No apps)?

Followed the install instructions verbatim. BTW I was stock GB before flashing. Happened before I dloaded any apps. Now it freezes when making calls. When I take the phone away from mg ear the screen is unresponsive.

You might have a defective device. Does it tend to get hot whenever it locks up? How long have you had this issue for?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Flashed the rom 3 days ago and issue started today. Had this phone for 3 months. Doesn't get hot or even noticeably warm. I got the go locker app with ics lockscreen. After i wake it up its unresponsive for about 30 seconds then the backlight dims and becomes responsive again. Weird. Maybe restore back to froyo(nandroid)? Thanks for your replies.

Try reformatting your phone, then flash again
Reformat? You mean wipe everything? Through cwm?

Yep that is what he means. If you were on Froyo you may need to do the update and get the current Baseband.
Okay I'll do that and see what happens. Thanks guys

Hey this may sound silly but if it's only the lockscreen not responding and you stating you are using the ics lockscreen, did you try with the default lockscreen to rule that out first?

Not silly at all. I tried the original lockscreen that came with weapon rom. I would wake the phone with no response but with go locker LS the screen responds after 30 seconds of unresponsiveness. Its weird but I don't think its a hardware issue. I'll post back after I restore back to Froyo. Thanks again guys

Yeah i agree, don't think it's a hardware issue. Restoring back or trying another rom would be a good test. Another question..are you using setcpu or any other app with a screen off profile?
Edit: Went back to read all the symptoms again and i had a similar situation and it was because my phone could not handle the lower voltages on the min freq with a few kernels. Morfic upped the lower freq voltage on his kernel and it has been working perfectly since. Worth a try.
Try this one: ELPmax 20122011 (1.1GHz Battery Saver w/ voodoo sound)
Tried flashing kernel and phone froze on Trinity load screen. Restored to nandroid but no luck. Updated to stock GB but no luck. I'm starting to think might be a problem with proximity/ light sensor cause of how the phone freezes up after I pull the phone away from my face after a call. Guess I'll send it to Texas for warranty repair.
Thanks to those that tried helping.

Did you format the "system" before flashing the new rom? Weapon works with no issues for me. I would stay away from custom kernels for now, until you have isolated the issue.
I would suggest backing up your user apps using titanium backup and installing them one by one to find the issue. Let the phone run a while between installing each app. Maybe even reboot each time. Also try fix permissions.
I know nothing about Go Locker, but is sounds like that is a good place to start.

Thank you. I'll give that a try. I definitely don't think it has anything to do with weapon rom. Awesome rom BTW.

Remember to wipe the dalvik cache and the normal cache.

I have a g2x running cm7. There's a couple problems I have with it. First of all, there is no lockscreen. When I turn it on, it goes straight to the pattern. Also, when I try to go to CyanogenMod settings, it force closes every single time. Since the lockscreen doesn't work, I have been using GO locker, and almost everytime I turn it on, it shows what the screen was like when I turned it off for several seconds before going to the actual lockscreen. If anyone has any idea how to fix any of these problems, it would be great

i think the best bet would be to wipe everything off and clean install the latest cm nightly and gapps.
Wipe, wipe, and then wipe some more. That's your problem.

Thanks, didnt really want to lose everything, but that worked
Glad it's working for ya.

So today my sensation running aokp started acting weird, basically whenever I touched the home button it makes a click noise and the screen goes white then back to the app I was in. The only way to get it to work again is to reboot it.
Does anyone know why this would happen and how I could prevent it?
Thanks in advance for your help

Bump. Does no one know why?

looks like a software bug.
if u use a custom rom try reflashing after backing up ur data.
a nandroid is also recommended.
if u are on stock... send it to htc
Hey, guys. I've been having an issue for quite some time where my screen turns completely back and my phone freezes up. The only way to fix this is to do a live battery pull. It happens at least once a day. Not rooted. Running official ICS ROM. Can anyone help? I appreciate it.

was it like that b4 the update
you can do a factory reset too see if that helps but you will lose all your apps you have install and your settings, back them up first.
if its still the same looks like warranty repair
By chance, does this happen during a call or right after?

What apps have you opened prior to the black screen
Sent from my SGH-I727 using xda premium
Sounds like sleep of death or whatever it's called, tho I didn't have it for ages. I'd agree with the factory reset to see if the issue is resolved.
Has anyone noticed some super slow screen rotations? Also, on the home screen, are you able to auto rotate? My MoPho Q is acting funny after flashing some stock system images and updating(Mine freezes and reboot loops sometimes). If anyone has any issues with their screen having rotate lag please post here, thanks!
I havent experienced any of those issues... I have rooted deodexed and otherwise stock phone. Maybe try to reflash?

Thanks for replying. I have been reflashing stuff all day, nothing seems stable. Had phone up for 10 hours then started reboot looping. I formatted my sd card and did factory reset, tried 3 or 4 different ways of recovering everything so idk what else to do. I am just now re-rooting and trying deodexed, making backups every step of the way(beyond frustrated).

Wow that's no fun... how bad is the auto rotate lag? It takes mine about .2 seconds, not long but there is a slight delay. And the only way I can rotate the home screen is if I slide the keyboard out. I was looking into making my own ROM but didn't figure it out. I'm hoping for one soon, maybe that would fix for your problem too.

Just recently I've been having problems with my screen not rotating back after sliding out the keyboard. Sometimes it doesn't rotate at all. I'm just rooted with the latest update also. Don't know why this is happening.
I've had that a couple times, usually it goes away on its own. I tried turning rotation on/off, forcing it back to portrait mode using apps that only run in portrait, cycling lock screen on and off, finally it just started fixing it self after a reboot or time.

Haha, did exact same things. And you're right. Hasn't happened in awhile.
Just wanted to confirm that I have problems with this too. Sometimes I get tired of waiting to the point that I open the keyboard to force landscape mode.
