Alarm not snoozing with side buttons... - HTC Sensation

Okay folks try this...
Set an alarm, make sure that the "Side Button Behavior" in the alarm settings is set to snooze and see if it actually works.
Mine fails miserably.

Just tried it, it will only snooze with the sleep/wake button not the volume rocker.

I'm thinking the volume rocker should work as well huh, idunno.

The volume buttons are the only "side buttons" I can find..

what im looking for is completely disabling it and it will only work when you are in media or video. that the volume cannot be adjust by the volume keys and i have to change profiles with another app
Take a look at Volume Locker......or Smart Volume....
Via the XDA app for the HTC Inspire
thanks.. i dl ring guard and that works better for me

the volume button don't snooze alarm?

it seems when you push either of the volume button, you just dismiss the alarm... learned this in a hard way
I'm pretty sure that's how my n1 handled the alarm as well.

Go to clock click alarm then menu, settings, side button behavior, snooze

[Q] Mute control, volume settings

Surprisingly, there is no mute button on the lock screen. And I can't see it on the notifications/quick settings panel neither. Am I missing something? Don't really want to use widget for that.

Unfortunate power button conflict

Out-of-the-box, it seems only the power button will wake the Skyrocket up. I've also changed my accessibility settings so that the power button ends calls.
Guess what happens when your screen turns off during a call and you need to turn it back on to, say, unmute the conference call you were listening in on. Yup. You guessed it. It hangs up.
No other buttons were coded stock to wake the phone except the power button. There are mods that allow using the volume buttons to wake the phone if it's a continuing issue.

Are there any apps that enable volume rocker wake?

Thanks in advance!
WidgetLocker has the ability
Just tried it, checked the box in settings, but no dice
Uninstalled and got a refund.
Any others?
no lock?
or
Screen Off and Lock?
Thanks, already tried both of them because they worked on my og evo, but no such luck
Coming from the galaxy s2 I do miss the power button on the side, hoping to find a solution still

Actually, I used to have a Nexus One and the power button was broken. To circumvent that, I had to use an app called AnyUnlock. I turned the screen on with the volume rocker and you could also use a widget to turn the screen off (rather than using the power button to turn the screen off). Which I suppose could be useful if you have smaller fingers or something and didn't want to make the reach. Very, very useful app when your power button stops functioning.

I'm sure it uses the same method that the other apps use and it even says in the description on their app page that it only works on Froyo and GB.
Yea seems like all of them don't work with ics urrrrrrrrr

Volume Rocker Wake works on CM9 Alpha 5
I've been using CM9 Alpha 5 for a few hours now and it's great !
The first think I set was the Volume Rocker Wake as the Power Button is not as easy to press when using most cases covering the power button.
To enable it, go to SETTING --> DISPLAY --> VOLUME ROCKER WAKE
it enables waking the phone by pressing the volume rocker EITHER up/down.
There is no way to specify one or the other
However, it works great ! I'm really liking CM9, my only complaint is the missing HTC Camera which was just amazing with the hardware burst (I'm still looking for a way to flash it if that's even possible).
