[Q] Best Email Client - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

My wife is looking for the best Email client for use on the TF. I use K9 but the interface is not very good on the tablet and she does not like it. Nor does she like the Asus one because emails are not stored for very long.
I was telling her to try Gmail but I never liked it because it seems very slow to receive new mail.
What is everyone using on the TF?

Seriously gmail is slow? Did you use it on the gmail app? Cause my phone tablet update before my gmail inbox on browser.. its about protocols. If you are using gmail in K9 via POP3 or imap and comparing it against your work exchange account it will seem slow.
Beyond this you could check the xda forums for the samsung galaxy s tab email app or give kaiten mail a try (available in amazon appstore).kaiten mail is k9's tablet optimized email app.

For sure Kaiten if you are using multiple emails, i havent had any issues with this app, it works great!!!

That's for exchange servers

Thanks for the good suggestions.
Would like to stick with a free app if at all possible. Also, she doesn't have a need for communicating with an Exchange server.

[Q] Email app?

What's a good e-mail app for multiple accounts?
I have 2 msn accounts - one personal and one for school
I really can't find anything in the app store. For some reason, K-9 isn't letting me create a 2nd e-mail account. Maybe I'm doing it wrong

I agree, I've tried them all, maildroid, enhanced email, improved email, seven and K-9 is the best. I've got 5 imap email accounts all set up to push. Never miss an email, even when traveling internationally.
Yeah but with K9 how do I set up msn? Because it won't recognize it?
Ya I'd have to say k-9 is good. I've never used maildroid. Is it good.?

Android Email Client?

Ever since I switched from my Tilt2 w/at&t to my Epic 4G w/sprint, I've been obviously using my gmail account more often. Thing is, the built in email client, even for gmail & even when I try it with pop3, just plain sucks. Also, I mainly use my hotmail account, which there isn't really an app for yet. So I have two things. 1. To find a much better email client for android. And 2. To find a way to get all my hotmail to my android. Now, I can fully access and export my entire hotmail account from inside outlook. But I haven't found a way to import pst's into android yet.

I lot of people say K9 mail is the best. I would say its the best of the non-Gmail apps out there. I can't use any other mail besides gmail because I'm so used to the threaded conversations. BUT, Gmail could be better for sure.

Use Seven email client (latest version 7.5.4)with homescreen widget support
It supports Gmail/yahoo/Hotmail/AOl n more
It is push mail client.
I see that you've gotten some good suggestions. I just wanted to tell you to avoid POP3 at all costs. It's a very primitive protocol and should really only be used as a last resort. Use at least IMAP.

Hotmail can be setup for push just like Exchange.
In the email app, tap Add Account, then put in your email address and password and then tap "Manual Setup"
Tap "Exchange Account"
Set the Incoming Mail Server: m.hotmail.com
Leave Domain blank
Set your username to your full @hotmail email address (i.e. include @hotmail.com or @live.com)
Enter your password.
Tap finish.
I recommend to use K9 mail. I use it with my 6 email adresses - 1 gmail, 1 imap and 4 pop3. As far I know hotmail does support pop3, so with K9 you should be able to check all your emails, including hotmail..
K9 is a very nice email client. I've used it for about a year now with imap.

Using K9 with 4 mails accounts, 3 IMAP and one POP3.
Works flawless so far.
K9 mail client is useless as it doesnt accept Exchange, this is ridiculous

[Q] ASUS E-mail Widget - Does it show GMail unread count?

Does the ASUS E-mail widget show the unread count from gmail too?
I currently have the email client set up with a corporate email account as well as a hotmail account. I don't think the unread count is counting my gmail. Do I have to set up gmail inside the email client in addition to the gmail client. Seems redundant to me

The Asus email app is different from the gmail, so no its widget won't show you gmail unread count.

It doesn't. I have all my gmail accounts set up with the Asus app and disable syncing for the Gmail app.
Thanks for the confirmation folks

You have to set up the Gmail account in the Asus app if you want the unread mail to show in the widget. it will not work in conjunction with the Gmail app.
hey guys im trying to search each for 3 days, someone know were can i found it to doenlaod to my xoom?

Syncing multiple Hotmail sub-calendars with Google calendar

I managed to configure my hotmail and google calendars to sync via the built-in email app on my Transformer... no problem; but there appears to be a limit in place in Exchange that prevents the sub-calendars from syncing. Is there a way around this? (I've seen indications that using Outlook as a middleman might work.)

I'm bumping this because I still haven't found a solution and I can't believe there isn't one. If you genuinely know there isn't a way to do this, that would be valuable to know as well, obviously.

Email

So since I updated to the leaked ICS, I setup the default email client to my yahoo business account. I must say I hate the change to it they have made. In honeycomb I was able to set it to delete emails from the server as I deleted them from my phone, also it would download all my old emails to my phone as well. Now I can't do either of those and it goes through that social hub crap thing. Anyone have a email app that will work like the old email app in honeycomb?
Thanks

Personally, I like the solution here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24243224&postcount=3
It creates a new default Email app with lovely exchange integration, and you can remove Social Center
I have not rooted the phone at all so I am pretty sure I can't use tibu.
use K9 mail. It allows you to specify how many emails to sync as well as server side actions.
Yep K9 mail does exactly what I am looking for.
