Hey guys, hope this is the right section.
But I was dumb and backed up my apps that Perma-Temp Root removes except for the ones labelled: Transfer-pyramid-8.30.0.26-S30.apk
If anyone has this file and can full it for me and post it I would greatly appreciate it. Even if you are not temp-rooted you can use Astro File Manager to navigate (Folder up button until on main root of phone) then go to system > app, and you can copy and paste it to your SD Card to upload it.
Thank you in advance, greatly appreciated!

Sorry if wrong section, but wasn't sure where I am suppose to post this but here it goes.
I was looking in linda file manager & I noticed that I could copy files from my phone memory & copy apps like Camera and Browser & was wondering if I copied the .apk to my sd card & edited & signed the file, then replaced the .apk using linda file manager. Would it work??? and if so I have found the framework-res.apk & was wondering if you could mod that, sign it and replace it??? any thoughts???

See those question marks? Perfect indicator for the Q&A section, but anyways to answer your question- No. You would need read/write access which is not possible without root, AFAIK.
Anyway to get this?
I have the file, pm me an email addy and I'll ship it off to you.
thanks
I don't even know where to place the file. I don't see ringtone folder where I can stick sounds. Someone help me plz?
*EDIT* see I have to get to the phones system instead of the SD Card, but the Astro file manager won't let me copy and paste the file where I want it. How can I do this from my PC?
Just mount your phone via usb. Go to media folder, audio, notifications and just copy it there. You can just drop it on your SD card.
create a directory on your SD card called 'notifications' (all lowercase) and place the file there.

Will just a notifications folder work?
I've always been told media/audio../notifications or /ringtones or /alarms

Sorry for digging it up but I am trying to get my hands on DroidSound 1.2 beta 3 (latest one from Dec 2010). swimsuitboyds website is down for me and market has only 1.1 version. Anyone got latest one and could share it?
Has anyone backed up the stock applications? I accidentally deleted audiotuning.apk and want to put it back, even though I haven't determined what it's for. If anyone has backed these up to their desktop, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could send it to me so I don't have to reinstall.
Coming from a lifetime use of Blackberry, it seems we can't fix our mistakes as easily on Android

Attached.
I use the Sdx Stock App to backup and delete system apps. If you're rooted it's invaluable.

Thank you!!!!
It seems I can't copy this over to system\apps. Looks like the .odex was deleted also. Could you please attach this for me too? Hoping that will do it. I'm rooted so I don't know why it's not showing up (using root explorer)
Or do I have to do this using adb ?
I am going to zip all these up and post them on here for other morons like me after

Rename it to .odex it's not really a zip file. I had to name it that to get around the forum limitations.
I'm pretty sure you have to do it using ADB and mount the system/app directory as writable. If you install the Sdx tool you can backup a few apps, then navigate to the sdx directory on the sdcard that gets created and manually add the audioTuining files in there and then restore them using the Sdx app.
That's a long way around ADB but it should work.
Thanks again!!!
Jeeze what a hell of a job it is to push a few files to /system folder
Anyway, got them over there...Unavailable to actually install it (no idea why) but at least it's sitting back in there
That takes care of my OCD until I notice what it affected
where can i find that sdx tool? are there any other free apps out there that I can back up my phone with?
I'd be most grateful if someone could attach VoiceSearch.apk, and VoiceSearch.odex.
Accidentally deleted.

right here,,,, click menu settings applications . and check unknown sources... download this to your sd card. and use a file manager to locate it and open it then itll install
Thank you so much. I will try it out
Tries to install using astro manager. Says application nit installed
Checked unknown sources. No go for the install. Please help.
Get AppInstaller by FunTrigger from the market. Works great. BTW, K9 email from the market is a much better email app...
You need a root file explorer like root explorer and you need to paste the app in /system/app and reboot
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Fix Permissions
If you are using the previously mentioned Root Explorer Method, you may have to change the permission on the file. Once you have moved it to /apps you can long press on another apk (e.g.messaging), press Permissions and see what is selected. Now do the same for the Email apk and ensure that the same boxes are checked. Reboot.

how did you delete it? through root explorer? if you dont have root explorer (since its a paid app) just push it through adb. "adb push Email.apk /system/app/Email.apk" and then type "adb shell chmod 644 /system/app/Email.apk"
Maybe a dumb question but how do you get the icon down at the bottom with the phone, web and applications icon?

As the title states I'm about to flash a new ROM on my Sprint Note 4. However...I want to install Titanium Backup with my Pro licence before accessing the market. I cannot find the needed .apk or license using ES File Explorer however. Can anyone point me to where I would find these so I can throw them on my SD card?

Both files should be in /data/app, but you can only see the contents of /data if you enable Show hidden files and Root Explorer. If you need help with that, don't be afraid to ask.

Aha! Thank you! I had hidden files set to 'show' but did not have 'root explorer' enabled. Thanks so much.
