Sorry, I forgot to hit yes this is a question in the box.
I downloaded Ripple, the replacement lockscreen, based on recommendations on the forum. I like it, but now I have two lockscreens. The stock froyo one and Ripple. I have to deactivate the stock first and then Ripple to use the phone. This happens about half the time I try to unlock the phone. How do I freeze/remove the stock lock screen or set the default to Ripple?
Thank you
edit: 26 views and no ideas? Is even possible to freeze the stock lock screen? One of you android gurus knows the answer. Help a guy out. I searched and found recommendations on apps to download, but they all need to be restarted after every boot and some have compatibility issues with aftermarket lock screens.
I do know that with CM7, there is a setting in CM Settings that allows you to disable the lockscreen. For froyo tho, I can not help you.

I would love to know how to remove it as well
I remember seeing something about codes you can punch into the dialer to duo such a thing. I can't seem to locate the link right now though

Maybe try this and once started install your lock screen?
Lockscreen: Agile Lock(has a free & paid version; paid is $1) - I would HIGHLY recommend this lockscreen for anyone who doesn't like the AOSP/Puzzle/Glass or just wants to use the HTC sense lockscreen(you know, the ring that has shortcuts and such). If you do choose this route you would need to follow the Androidcentral guide(http://forums.androidcentral.com/dro...en-charge.html) to remove your current lockscreen because all this app does is add a second lock to your phone, so you would need to unlock your phone twice if you want to get in. Before you do that BE WARNED this removes not only your lockscreen but your power button menu as well(you know, when you hold the power button to restart and boot into recovery). Instead it just powers your phone off, you can always re-enable your lockscreen very easily using the same guide so there's nothing to fear. This app has TONS of customization and is far superior to the zero customization the AOSP/stock locks have. I'd say the only issue this app has is the fact that you can't go to silent/sound like you can with the AOSP. Added picture(s).
Got that from here.

I do not know is this is the same link as posted above, but this works, the only problem I have is that if you hold the power button to long it turns you phone off. Takes so getting used to, but the lock screen is history after you do this.
Entering that dialer code is one of the first things I do after flashing any ROM.
That works with ANY ROM & completely eliminates the totally useless annoying unlock screen.
Like the previous poster mentioned, it does take a little getting used to so you don't accidentally turn the phone off with the power button by holding it down too long.

Hi
Apologies for not having this in the ARHD forum but I dont have the 10 posts yet to be able to post in developer forums.
I have come across and issue when using ARHD 6.2.1 and any app to turn off the lock screen such as No Lock, No Lock Screen or Delayed Lock.
Generally I would have the lock screen turned off (sense ring and security pattern) when I am at home and then turn it on when out or at work, but with this rom, or it could be ICS itself, whenever the lock screen is turned off and I hit any notification in the notification bar, the phone locks, I have to swipe the ring, input the pattern and then the screen is locked from then on, even through the no lock widget shows otherwise. It will then stay locked until I hit the no lock widget twice.
I have tried every no lock type app available, go locker, magic locker and none seem to be able to work around the issue. The description of Delayed Lock says this "Since ICS there seems to be an issue when using the "hide lock" method: When clicking on a notification, the lockscreen might be shown. Please use the "deactivate lock" method instead!" but this doesnt work either.
Has anyone else had the same problem and found a work around? Does anyone know if these apps work with Stock ICS on the galaxy nexus for example?
Any thoughts much appreciated, thanks.
There is an option in the ROM settings (in the security section) to disable to lock screen without the need for secondary apps.
It works like a charm.
You can switch back and forth between locked and not locked quickly and easily.
Hi, thanks for the quick reply. Do you mean settings\security\configure lock screen?
Thats the only option I can find in my ROM and if you configure the lock screen to off here, you have to re input it again to turn it on. Hardly quick and easy. It also doesnt bypass the lock ring which the secondary apps do, but maybe I'm missing something or ARHD is missing something from ICS.
What ROM are you running?
Settings/security/screen lock.
Its the top item on the menu in the security screen.
Choosr 'off'. Im on ARHD too and I use this setting so I guarentee it works. (Of coure I have Sense removed so maybe that is a factor)
It takes 2 seconds to set or disable the lock.

Thanks skipjacks, ahh youre not running sense, I guess that's the difference as the settings are sensified.
What did you use to remove sense? I see there's an ahrd mod to remove HTC sense lock.screen that I can try.

Oh right, back to square once then. Because I flashed that last night and while it gives me the (less functional) ics lock screen, it doesn't change any of my settings so I still can't change the lock screen as you suggest.
Can you tell me what phone and arhd version you have? Do you have everything else sense still on the phone?
Hi -- I used to use the AntiLock app to disable Sense's lock screen (so that when the phone's screen is turned on, it would go to pattern lock and then directly to whatever I was doing previously), but this no longer works since the ICS update. Does anyone have any ideas about how to remove Sense's lock screen in ICS?
thanks, Alan
you can take a look at this App

Have you tried deleting the lockscreen apk?
Thanks to you both! The Keyguard Disabler app didn't work: it immediately force closed each time I ran it. I haven't tried deleting the APK yet -- this phone isn't rooted -- but I'll give it a shot and see what happens. I wonder if it will get rid of the lockscreen, or just call the vanilla lockscreen instead of the Sense one (which wouldn't fix the problem).
Thanks, Alan
Hi, those of you who use WidgetLocker Lockscreen by TeslaCoil Software app will notice than every time when you unlock your phone from the replacement lock screen, you will see that the phone will flash the default lock screen for a very short period of time (less than a second, but this can be really annoying), but it will generally be able to bring it to the screen where you enter your password or pattern. However, sometime it will fail to bring you to the *"simplified version" of the lockscreen, and will just bring you to the default lock instead.*(I mean "simplified version" because unlike the default lockscreen where you can also have the option to use the Emergency Call Option, they only give you the pattern lock or the password lock. (Those who use this software will know what I mean!)). And here's an idea that comes out of my mind: Can we actually disable the default lockscreen while using the WidgetLocker application?
And one more question: Sometime even WidgetLocker brings me to the right lockscreen and I draw the right pattern, it will just simply say that the pattern is not correct and I need to enter it for several times before it accepts it and sometime after many failed tries, I even need to wait for 30 seconds before trying to entering it again. Can someone also fix this problem? Thanks a lot.
My device Atrix 4G ME860 HKTW version is rooted, so feel free to give suggestions that involve root access
Hey, so let me get straight to the question: Is there anyway to get a lockscreen AND security input on the myTouch 4G Slide? Without having to unlock my phone and do all those fancy stuff, like is there an app (preferably free) somewhere that allows me to have both?
I love the lockscreen themes (calls, sms, etc.), but I also want my phone secured, just incase someone decides to look at my phone. Sorry if this has been already posted and thanks in advance!
So to be clear..
You want to be able to view your phones lock screen as if you didn't have a security lock on it (i.e. Not directly to "draw unlock pattern" screen upon waking the device) but then when you swipe the ring to unlock it you want it to then prompt for a security code?
If so.. I'm not sure what t mobile stock rom allows but I know the new sense 4 Roms are exactly this way without additional settings you just set your password and it does this. What does the stock ROM do?
It's been soo long since using that rom So i dont know.
::Respect::
both CM and AOKP have these options. i too wanted this back when i was on virtuous inquisition. once cm9 official came out, i tried it out, found the setting in the lockscreen settings page. these ones are even better and let you put more apps onto the lockring (besides just unlock and camera).
if you want sense still...i would have no clue lol
