Hi,
Found this unbricking tool on Captivate forum. Reported to work on all Samsung devices which use Odin (we do). If someone have problems please try this and report is it working on hard brick (seems to me it should) or just soft brick.
Here is a link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15330252#post15330252
Edit: Not usable with hard brick I guess
cool, if I hard brick my phone, I will try it
I've got the feeling that there was a similar thread... I think it's only for SoftBricked devices..
edit: Sorry, I didn't see a date... this post can be delete But my feelings were right
i think this wont work on the g3 as it is based on heimdal, which does not support the g3...
If you have a hard brick then the only two things you can do to repair it is by Riffbox JTAGing or by giving it to Samsung service. :/

Hey there!!
This must be a very dumb issue but an issue nevertheless and I can't find anywhere an answer to my dumb problem.
I am using my laptop to run RSD lite and other programs to flash some phones and I cannot get my computer to read them as COM ports.
I instaled drivers but nothing.
I am not a technician (obviously ) but I have been very good with computers and usually find my way around, but not now !
My V3M is recognized as a Modem in com 16 but RSD won't read it.
Samsung nothing...
No problem with my HTC or TREO... and pretty much got stuck on this!!
Can someone please give me a quick lesson on what I have to do to get the correct drivers for these and other phones, to install them and have them working correctly with RSD and other programs??
Please heeeeelp and sorry if dumb issue here!!
Thanx!

Hi guys! this christmas i got a bad gift from santa, a hard brick on my Moto G3 XT1543.. I've been tried to use various methods to unbrick my device, but with no success. My computer recognizes the device as Qualcomm HS-USB Qdloader 9008 (In other words my processor) then i begun to search for possible fixes by that point, and today i found the video Phone Rescue ++ Qualcomm 9008 to 9006 And full write dump !! it's easy !! (IM SORRY IM A NEW MEMBER ON THIS FORUM AND I CANT POST LINKS FOR NOW! BUT DO SEARCH ON YOUTUBE THAT IS THE VIDEO NAME IT WORTH CHEKING OUT!) Now im wondering that if works to repair the Moto G3 bootloader though this eMMC software because i saw that is compatible with my device processor MSM8916 Aka Snapdragon 410. Maybe i can restore the bootloader with this program !
This is my last hope before i send my phone to replace the motherboard sorry if i mess with the tecnical terms im not a pro on software and programming, that's why i need help from you guys!! please give some advice and thanks for the support!

hi guys this is my 1st thread in xda forum as this forum helped me alot in the past, well!! here it is, i have an lg g3 i bought it from someone on the street so i can repair it, but thins are not going well actualy, the previous owner clamed that the phone has only softwar issue thats why i didnt hesitate to buy it.
this phone is an lg g3 internationnal version D855 16gb rom / 2 gb ram the problem is that the phone restart whle using it, i cant find any pattern when it restarts but i tryed the following:
- hard resset
- downgrading to kitkat stock firmware/upgrading to marchmallow or lollipop.
- rooting and instaling cyanogenmod.
-changing the battery (swaped batteryes with my cousin he has the korrean version F400S) while he was using my battery his phone never restarts with 24hours of use but mine did .
so till this moment think the only thing i will do is to throw it in the toilette and flushe twice and say good by to my 90$ lol
ps: the restart procces is : frezez then a black screen after that it boot normaly with no boot sound.

Hi and welcome to xda !
Please don`t bump your thread , people are reading and answering if they are available and if they know the answer .
Thank you for understanding
I see that you have tried and successfully flashed the stock rom for the device and the problem still occurs
In this case there is nothing much to do but to ask for assistance from a LG service center , it is most probably a hardware problem since you have fully restored its factory operating system
Good luck !
