Good Morning to all
As you may or may not be aware i am new to this forum and i would just state that i am not an XDA developer of any kind yet ? ( not sure how i become one or if i can ,
I have a question in relation to the subject of this post i was just wondering if anyone knew of an Internet site where i can download the install software for my XDA , i have the new XDA Orbit and i am trying get it working with my work pc i have the usb cable provided with the pack but forgot to take the install cd :-( with me to work in the morning i i was hoping there would be somewhere i could source this install file/data from ???
Anyway i hope i have posted my query in the right place and thanks in advance for any help
You require Activesync from Microsoft.
XDA software
Hey m8 thanks very much for the info i did find this software but was not sure if thats what i need , thanks for the clarification and quick repsonse
Just out of interest as i said i am enw to this forum and also to XDA(s) i notice you tag
Quote "ROM 2.21.4.1 WWE
Radio 02.07.10
EXT ROM 2.21.4.101
OMAP Overclocked
I was just wondering does "OMAP Overclocked" mean that i/u r able to over clock the CPU on my XDA Orbit ?
And 1 other question i hope you dont mind but how much does upgrading the firmware help the function of the device ( i am not sure this will matter for me that much seen as the Orbit is fairly new and they probably dont have an upgrade for the firmeware yet but for future reference it would be helpfull to know ?
Once again thanks for all the info and advice and sorry for all my nagging questions

You are welcome.
With regards to overclocking have a look here and here but make sure that you read the literature thoroughly.
With regards to firmware I would suggest doing some reading on this Forum. I use the stock o2 Mini S ROM and have no problems with it. I have stripped all the o2 stuff out. A lot of people use custom 'cooked' ROMs, many of which may be found within the FTP. It's not something that has concerned me as I have no problems with the ROM I am using. If it ain't broke, don't fix.
Hi,
I have a Dutch HTC diamond 2 and would like to flash the ROM to get windows 6.1 to work in English. I have never done this and have a couple of small questions i hope you guys can help me with. I have read some guides and i think i understand what i need to do:
1. install hard-spl 2. find a ROM (i will use a signed one) and install 3. update radio ROM if required.
The only thing im concerned about is i read in some places that i will lose my phone operator and MMS settings in the process - (i am on the dutch vodafone network). Can someone please advise me what details i need to record before flashing the ROM or if there is a program that can do this for you as i want to be able to easily use my phone without going back to vodafone afterwords!
Finally i would appreciate advice on a good ROM to use and a good radio ROM if anyone has this.
Thanks in advance!
hi,
Check theis thread out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509708
Its here you find the anser relating to you model of phone.
As for the operator settings - these are easy to put back, if the ROM does not do it for you.
I think all ROMS asr great in there own right - so try one, and if this does not suit your needs then flash another.
Good luck

Hi Mobucl
Welcome to XDA
I have a Diamond 1 and can't give you exact Details, but i doubt your phone will stop working with vodaphone network after you flash, Have a look in the Topaz Forum, it's near the bottom of the page
Goodluck
Badwolve1
Thanks
Thanks R3PUBL1K and Badwolve1 for you're advice, i will have a look and give it a go.
If i have problems ill be sure to post again as my girlfriend already mentioned that she wouldn't be 'too happy' if i brick the phone
Hey everyone, I have been looking all over the place for information on how to back up my current O2 Rom on my o2 atom life before I actually upgrade.
I did check out the wiki, and so I ask these questions XD:
is there any other way of backing up the rom aside from dumping it, like the wiki said?
and if it really is the only way, how am i going to convert it back to a flashable rom?
Thank you for helping, I'm really just new to upgrading roms and I really want to make sure I could go back to my former settings and whatnots before I actually try to upgrade (and hopefully not fail. Being a noob on these things is just too scary. XD)
Thank you again, and I so hope anyone could help
Hi, first of all, my English was not good and if any grammar mistake or broken English, please don't scold me. Secondly, I does not know weather i post in the correct place.
I have a new phone which is custom made by the 4G provider.
The phone is fully custom made to support it 4G connection.
Phone model: Yes Eclipse
The problem is the phone was come with Android 2.2 which is abit too old for me. And I am planning to root the phone and upgrade it.
The 1st problem is, i cant even root the phone. So anyway I can learn how to root? I am willing to learn more.
I googled and found that the phone cant be room in any method
Secondly, i would like to learn making a rom since my holiday is near, i have knowledge on Java coding, but where can I start?
Thanks.
Hi, before anything i would like to say that is my first time posting here and i hope to be posting on the right area of the forum.
i really don't know anything about android except from installing .apk's
I really dont have a good english ( i'm from Brazil )
That being said, let's go: i have a Motorola XT925 ( Razr HD ), i want to change it's ROM to Kitkat, my friend got a new phone but with an old version, when he was searching for updates, the phone found an upgrade and voila ! was the kikat, but mine still in the 4.1.2 build.
Is a viable option wait to see if the Kitkat upgrade is be avaliable to my phone ?
If not, can any one tell me what steps shoul i take to install another ROM ?
I really want to gain RAM and have Clean Kitkat installation, mine is overwhelmed with pre-installed app's and i really don't know what i can remove.
In fact i want to put another ROM, in it, but i'm really scared about bricking my phone.
Can anyone help-me or guide-me trough the right steps ?
And again, sorry for my bad english. I know that who read's it problably gonna have Headache's.
Thanks
