now i didnt red this on facebook myself but i found this in the sensation thread...
"There has been overwhelmingly customer feedback that people want access to open bootloaders on HTC phones. I want you to know that we've listened. Today, I'm confirming we will no longer be locking the bootloaders on our devices. Thanks for your passion, support and patience," Peter Chou, CEO of HTC
postet at the official fb page of HTC
if it is true its great news for all of us htc fans
if it is wrong please forgive me for posting i know you guys have been having trouble getting root and thought you would like to hear and look into it more
That's old news bro.
Yeah this happened a while back. But I was browsing the sensation forums and one of the guys posted a reply from htc that confirmed they were working on a retroactive way of unlocking the currently locked phones.

If you look at their twitter feed, they say the same thing about unlocking them. however nothing has come of this as of yet. Hopefully they live up to the promise.

Ugh. Please delete this thread. It made me think alpharev was released. Now I'm just more depressed =/
Just saw the social network.
I didn't know mark was such an ahole
I agree. This thread is just a reminder that we don't have root yet. So depressing...

Well, it looks like HTC is gonna make me eat my words.

**We’re thrilled to announce today that software updates to support bootloader unlocking will begin rolling out in August for the global HTC Sensation, followed by the HTC Sensation 4G on T-Mobile USA and the HTC EVO 3D on Sprint. We’re in the testing phase for the unlocking capability now, and we expect it to be fully operational by early September for devices that have received the software updates. We'll continue rolling out the unlocking capability over time to other devices as part of maintenance releases and new shipments.**
How about using that search feature? Did we really need another thread about this? Like the other 3 don't get the message across?

It's not that. That HTC post went up hours ago, why in the hell do people think they're gonna be the first to post about it this late after the initial post.

While I agree we didn't need yet another thread about this, atleast he got it in the right section unlike all the other yahoos that made threads in the dev section.

Lol this is true.. and op I'm not being an asshole just stating the facts. There are at least 3 other threads on the topic. We really don't need another one. It just clutters up the forum with redundant information.

It's not about being a**holes, its just that simply by just looking at that page u can see the other thread posted hours before yours, so y post another one..like anyone else, I too hate seeing the same post over n over, when a simple search could've done it...

I agree, it's like these geeks sit in here all day and just wait to flame people. Maybe they get some erotic pleasure from it. When its warranted cool, but when it's just to be mean, not cool.

How did I flame him by saying to use the search feature and telling him we really didn't need another thread on this topic because there are at least 3 already that were created before his? Umm that's not flaming.. I wasn't rude or nasty. I just said "how about using that search feature? Did we really need another thread on this topic? Like the other 3 didn't get the message across?" How is that flaming him? I didn't name call or put him down in anyway, just it seems in this forum(sensation) people create more duplicate threads then the other device sections I frequent. It clutters up the forum with redundant information and makes it tougher to shift through all the same crap to find a useful thread.

Geeks stay pissed off, not there fault Just the lack of female attention can be over baring to some on here. Flame on geeks flame on.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
You know I have noticed more and more rude and sarcastic and flaming remarks as of late. I wonder if short tempers and faultfinding could be attributed to the following:
1. Locked Boatloader ( No definite time frame for resolution)
only vague promises and comments
2. No permanent root(temp root only)
A. No S=off for the majority so no custom roms etc.
3. Htc making vague statements and time frames(even the last blurb gave no real time frame for the US Sensation) and no realistic end in sight.(Hypothetically at least 2 months or more away, at least) Which leads to Feelings of hopelessness..
4. A great phone but many many issues(lots of returns and replacements)
5. Indecision as to whether to keep the phone or not.
Just some thoughts I know I have felt this way and if some of the above were addressed and accomplished I would have a better feeling about keeping the device and a better outlook about the situation in general.
Lets not take the circumstances surrounding the phone out on each other.

The frustration is coming from pushing the valuable info further away into the thread and on the first and second page we have 5 topics about the same thing. Xda should just take the search button away since no one uses it lol.

The point was good, the netiquette questionable. People just don't get "text" is NOT fully expressive. What do they say about not being able to have a picnic w/out ants?
You guys haven't got the jellybean update yet have you?If not has anyone heard of when the s one might be getting it. Thanks in advance!!!

O RLY? Look at the main thread!
Wow i believe this is the 3rd Jelly bean thread made. READ THIS EVERYONE: There is a sticky thread all about JB already made, it doesn't matter how special you think you are POST YOUR QUESTIONS THERE! If I see you post another thread like this, I'm going to be hiding under your bed while you sleep
No. No. Close

Nope more probably, the mod is probably removing them but they appear faster than he can remove them...I swear people like the OP are illiterate somehow, like seriously...
OP please, next time you make a thread, READ THE SUGGESTIONS given as you type the title, is stops people from making extra threads, thanks...also seeing as you're on mobile, maybe consider when you next make a new thread, do it on PC so you actually see those suggestions, granted the XDA app isn't all that great for that...
So , its friday and for the past month I will flash CM10 and then next friday go back to stock...and then back again. Now I want to try
CM10.1-but I have phone all set up and everything works fine but I really want CM 10.1 for some reason...maybe just because I
can??
Is there any therapy to help me?
Yeah post in the right section!

Well assuming you mean are all members on xda flash-o-holics then yes you are on xda the Rom capitol of the world with a total membership of just under 5 million I'd have to say that there are millions of members who flash roms on a regular basis. Xda can become an addiction of sorts just ask my wife.
If you meant why are the above members being somewhat rude about your thread then see the answer above you are not unique.
Edit
And this really could have been posted in the ot section as stated
Thread closed before it really gets ugly in here.

Does anyone know where I can find this now? After choosing to stop development on it, I guess Scott decided to completely remove the one x forum section from his site. I would ask about it in the thread but it's locked now.
My apologies if this kind of thing is frowned upon, but I really miss this rom. I tried Google and a couple searches here. I have no idea where else to look.
