In the market
i'm just saying... between O&C, backstab and 9mm (when it comes out)... gameloft is a serious contender for a lot of my downtime. Great quality games here guys! I'm sure the experience is much better on a larger screen (like a tablet) but it's DEFINITELY no slouch on the G2x

Got it ! tnx amigo

Too bad u cant buy it on Gameloft's site for $2.99 buy one get one yet, this game looks good!

i'm having issues getting this to run on CM7... anyone else having any success?

got it working on the latest nightly.... this is an AWESOME GAME for something running on a cell phone... 9mm will be excellent!

Did you do anything special to get this working on CM7? I'm running the latest CM7 nightly and I get an unsupported device error when trying to play this game.

addictive!
wow! this game is so addictive! how do i win this game?

Not running a nightly might help. Or changing your build.prop.

N64oid!

This is a great Nintendo 64 emulator now available on the market!
Here's the link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.androidemu.n64
For me, using an Xperia X10 and Advent Vega (Tegra 2) Banjo-Kazooie runs smoothly.
But Super Mario 64 runs too fast! I asked yongzh (the developer) to add a framelimiter, so hopefully it'll be implemented soon.
I'm amazed at this, especially after looking at how hard development of alternative N64 emulators has been.
E.g. http://forums.ngemu.com/misc-n64-dis...s-android.html
P.S. I posted this in the 'Android Apps and Games' section as well, so that as many people as possible can know about it.
Imediatly bought. When I saw your post it's amazing and works great

This Emu will be balling on the S.EX Play.
Bought myself a WiiMote and a Classic Controller attachment for my x10. Best thing ever for playing classic games.
Is the ocarina of time and major's mask working?
I am gonna try this tonight or tomorrow.
oh godddd i hope super smash bros works.
downloading now.
it works.
slightly choppy. only SLIGHTLY. frameskip set to manual, 6
this is great !
Ow I can't test this I thought it was for free, but I can't pay for apps on the market.
Maybe it's coming some day on applanet.

OoT force closes on my Galaxy S when entering Castle Town. Majora's Mask also force closes a bit, from what I've heard. I'm sure it'll get sorted out in a future update

How is the performance on the games for everyone with x10's, mario runs great, as does Smash Bros, but OOT is a little slow for me to really be playable and goldeneye is unplayably slow :-(
If anyone has had better luck with different ROMs let me know, I have stock 2.1 with jit.
Not bad at all though and kudos to the dev for making this possible, this kicks psx4droids ass
BTW, If you have an x10, don't bother updating to 1.12, i think its come out today. It squashes all the controls at the bottom which means you get the beautiful axis-crossing problems :-(

Yongzh put all his emulators on slideme for free after his problems with google, just go to slideme.org and search for Yongzh - the other emulators are pretty neat as well.
You may still buy the app from the market if you like it though !
I've 1.1.4 version, is working great, I played a lot of games for this emulator an my x10 and all are running smoothly. I play in mario 3d, the games are only about like mario 9mb, but so long for.

[APPS] N64 Emulator in Market Now!

Don't know if peeps are aware but Yongzh has released the long awaited N64 emulator into the market. It's still got some bugs as it's the first release but with all his excellent work on his "oid" series of emu's this could be a little belter!

its just a nintendo 3ds, what does this have to do with the emulator?
so far tried zelda and killer instinct gold and both are non playable on CM7 nightly.
The N1 has a hard time generating an acceptable framerate with Super Mario Kart. Looks very promising though!

+1 Superb, better than Angry Birds anyday
I did try Mario. Joystick is in the way. Trying the first level going up the hill anti clockwise. Can't see nothing but my thumb. Not good. The rest of the games have a crash rate between 5 to 10 mins. This makes it very frustrating even with saving. It feels like a beta version a weak beta version imo. Needs alot of work but good start.
Where do you find the games roms?

Out of curiosity, would the games that are slow work a little better if overclocked?

Gameloft ICS

Has anyone been able to get Gameloft games to work with any ICS rom? I'm using OAKP and tried MC3 and Backstab. They crash before I can get to the actual gameplay.
yea BIA and hawx and 9mm HD. I'm on HFS worked on cm9 sk too.

Looking for a adventure/RPG/quest type game

I am not the biggest gamer...having played a little WoW back in the day, and first two Diablo games....which I liked a great deal...and a few others.
What I am looking for (which might not exist yet) is an Android game that is RPG strategy with less emphasis on first person shooter (don't mind this, but don't want to play Resident Evil or XBox games that are all first person shooting games).
I also liked Sim games somewhat, but was hoping to find something like... Myst (which is an oldie I realize, but I am considering the Android platform) or maybe Diablo 1 or 2. Or, of course, but I know impossible, something like Skyrim... Something where I can immerse a character in a story and try to find clues/weapons/etc. toward completing an ultimate over-arching game goal (solve murder, prevent evil group takeover, or whatever).
I like the fantasy R&D themed games, but a modern storyline would be really cool.
Amy help is greatly appreciated!

How much does it cost? I'm just curious, and the Play page doesn't say, and none of the reviewers are, either. Looks good, though. This plays like a Zelda game?
To the OP: I've been playing games on Gameboid, a GBA emulator. It's not in Google Play, you have to go to the SlideMe market (web-based, you download the .apk and sideload it). I find it runs the GBA version of Zelda 3 better than the Super NES emulator runs the original, and the GBA version actually fixes a few things. So I've played that, and also the Castlevania games on my phone. Controls could be better but aren't terrible.

Ok thanks a lot for the responses.
I was looking around on the market and saw GTA3. I actually never played this (I hear it is a port of the original) but spent many hours of my life playing Driver on PS. The thing that I wanted to ask about which GTA3 brought to mind was off the games mentioned, one element that I was looking for (if the 3D is pretty good ...GTA3 really surprised me) is detailed and/or extensive environments. I loved Skyrim and virtually any MMO for this reason (but it doesn't need to be multi-player)... I think that's why adventure games always were the most interesting... In contest to FPS games anyway. Just the endless exploration of the game world...to me that is escapism at its best.
I am trying most of the games mentioned here in this thread, but if the above additional info triggers anyone's recollection of any others... please let me know!
Thanks,
Syntropic

RPG Knight of the Earthends - Released today

Just sharing, and if you want to thank anyone for finding this game thank TLRtheory. I am a huge fan of Kemco's RPG games for our phone and saw this listed on TLRtheory's website (xperiaplaygamer.net)
So.... thank TLRtheory for finding this, not me.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ult#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImtlbWNvLnd3cy52Z2EiXQ..
I would like to thank TLRtheory for his dedication to his work at his website and for his continued vigilance to scour the ends of the internet searching for games that utilize our underappreciated, yet kicka$$ phone. Thank you TL!
Yeah this is WAY better than everything else Kemco released on Android... even Aeon Avenger and Symphony of Eternity.
They certainly do have a knack for RPGs that maintain 80% and up in quality ratings :\
...AND THIS MUSIC!!!!! It's a wet dream for video game music lovers like myself

It runs a lot faster then their previous games. The battles. Are so fast I get whiplash and my eyelids flap in the wind. But yes so far its looking to be better then their others which were great in my opinion.
Also anyone else feel the final boss in Eve of the Genesis was incredibly almost unbeatable hard?

My problem was actually that Eve of Genesis' final boss was disappointingly weak.
Now, when we get to the post-game content you get an additional final boss sequence which is completely goddamned insane. I had to be on Lv135 to beat the *real* final boss.

Ivread somewhere people with thy Rom were having issues where apps were list as not compatible. Its something to do with editing your build.prop model to r800a or I or something. Can't remember what the fix was. Sorry.

My problem with these games is that people describe them as merely "solid", "well put together", "really fun", etc. But if I'm going to invest dozens of hours into an RPG, I dunno, I'd rather play one of the many untapped masterpieces on an emulator. I haven't played Terranigma, Chrono Trigger, or many of the other classics yet.
I'm glad they're out there and people are enjoying them, don't get me wrong.

I...What...But........HUH?! Never played Chrono Trigger?!?! Well, you should get on that as it is the best game I've ever played. I just went through it for probably the 30th time over the last couple weeks. No offense to Kemco, but their games can't even come close to the greatness of Chrono Trigger. Just my personal biased opinion since CT is my favorite game of evar. woopwoopwoop
