Just installed Serendipity 7 with all the latest packs and kernels and it works great except that once I disable wifi, any attempts to re-enable it result in constant reboots (unless I can't put it back to airplane mode in time).
From what I read one other person has this problem but no solution is avail. Any suggestions?
I apologize for any newbie mistakes I made

You opened 2 threads in the wrong section when either a search or a single post asking both questions in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=962281 would have been the more appropriate coarse if action.

Hi.
Yesterday I aquired a SPV E650 from my mother, and the first thing I set about doing was to flash it, so I followed this GUIDE and now have the HTC ROM on my phone. After numerous attemps, using different settings, trying to connect to my Netgear DG934G router, I was still unable to connect.
After scouring the net looking for a solution, I found a wireless profiles cab, which apparently would help because it allows to turn DHCP on, which there is a setting for, is now turned on, but still no avail.
Another issue I have found, is that after entering the correct network key, if I go back to the setting, the key has doubled in length, which is probably the issue, but I can't stop it from doing it, any suggestions?
Another quick question, now that I have the HTC ROM on, is flashing it with other ROMs now straight forward?
Thanks in advanced!
Issue now resolved after installing NEO ROM v1.1.

I have a destination to get to.
Errors:
- the blue dot is not on the road, but somewhere else
- i took a wrong turn, the GPS does not recalculate to get to my destination.
- it keeps on saying "SEARCHING FOR GPS"
I have my GPS settings on(satellite thing). Does anyone else have these problems?
I wanna answer your question, but I know you haven't searched at all. The GPS issue has been discussed many times already. Search before you make new threads.

There are few ROMs (and kernels) that I have flashed that cause gps to "die". The fix for me every time is to re-flash the radio only.
Keep a copy of the radio image (in pdimg98.zip form) on your SD card (but not at the root), so you can quickly recover any time this happens.

While a bit harsh, I have to agree. Please search before opening a new thread. You would have saved not only some time by finding the fix but would have saved me from having to close this.

OK after doing some research and testing on over 10 devices I have came up with this MOD , that has been working for me for 2 days now. This should work on most devices. We all no Samsungs GPS hardware is not the greatest. Some with the S3 have no issues some where in the same boat as me. For myself I could never get a lock in navigation, if I could it would take 10 min up to 30 . If I ever got a lock ,it dropped signal frequently or was inaccurate, so much that it was no of use. Now on maps it would eventually show my position but it would be off , for example, show me on the next street or on the other side of the highway. So If you find yourself in this situation feel free to give it a try.

You need to be rooted to be able to grant R/W capabilities. To be safe , always make a nandroid backup and back up the original file you are replacing. My self or XDA are not responsible for any malfunction to your device or anything else that may occur, while hacking your phone.
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
1) Download new gps.conf file>>>
http://db.tt/5xvFneRt
2) Replace it in /ect . Rename the original one from .conf to .bak. using a file explorer with R/W enabled , so yes you have to be rooted!
3) Download GPS toolbox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2
4) Reboot.
5) Enable standalone GPS and Google services NOT Verizon services.
6) Open GPS status select options/tools/reset . Then options/ tools/download
7) Reboot
8) Open GPS status and wait for lock . Mine took 5 min a friends took 3. Then open up navigation .
9) Profit
★★NOTES★★
Always enable standalone GPS and Google location services ,FIRST! Then open up GPS toolbox to get a lock. The first time you do this it might take up to 10 to 15 min based on your location. After getting a lock threw the app, then open up navigation and you should be good to go. After using this yesterday I'm locking on in under 5 sec with 9-15 sat locked on. If you have bit used your GPS in a while, open app and reset and download again , then reboot. Then wait for lock threw app and your back on track.
Hope this helps a few and I will be updating this when I finish implementing other things.
If this helped you hit the thanks button

Maybe you can use this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447598 to help with GPS. I used it with much success with my Droid Incredible 2. Probably a bunch of settings can be pulled in from that gps.conf file to beef up our stock gps.conf.

Yea I've tried that. It worked for my tablet but not my S3 . It always put me in another state . I have a ton of fixes from numerous threads that I'm currently trying to implement a auto fix script.
Thanks for the link!

just saying, but shouldn't you go get your phone replaced, have verizon check it, if you have gps issues? many GS3 owners including me have zero issues with GPS. I did have GPS issues with 3rd party roms, synergy and clean both. once back to stock rooted, no problem.
The gps on the S3 is the quickest and most reliable i've had the pleasure of using, out of the box. I can't express enough how impressed I was by this, because i've become accustomed to having to fix it to make it work properly, and have done so for a variety of androids for my random co-workers I meet on the road.
That said, if people are having issues - and lets be real here, once you start flashing stuff anything can happen - it's good to see people diving in to work on the problems.
To that end, OP (or anyone else interested), here is a thread with a very detailed explanation of what I did to fix gps for another device:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16822068
...which may be of some value to read through in your research for this issue.
Please forgive the dead links, I was away from dev for a while and didn't realize goo went down and lost what I had there. I am working with another forum member to get my works hosted again.
Meantime, the text of the gps.conf file is in code blocks in the op of the thread I linked, so in this particular case the dead links shouldn't be a problem.
Hope this helps a bit.
I'm beginning to think it has something to do with Google maps. Downloaded map quest and it locks on quickly.

Hi, so I just upgraded my phone from hyperdrive RLS11 to RLS12 and everything has gone smoothly except for some reason the samsung keyboard has lost all of its longpress symbols. I'm not sure the proper term so I found a before screenshot on google and then took one on my phone as it is now.
First I tried wiping the cache, then reflashed, then wiped the cache, delvik cache, and fixed permissions. After I wiped the delvik cache and fixed permission the keyboard refuses to even load. So I tried reflashing again. I've done a factory reset, nothing seems to work. So I tried without the s4 keyboard and using old fashioned stock s3 keyboard. still doesn't work :'( I'm completely out of ideas. If anyone can be of any help I'd greatly appreciate it. I can't post in the hyperdrive thread because I haven't ever posted before because I normally find a solution by searching.
P.S. Sbreen94 if you see this thanks for an awesome ROM, I totally love it and it's the only one that has run smoothly on my S3, this minor issue aside. I'd donate if I wasn't a poor college student Also I have S Note installed and the md5 on my download checks out)
Two more issues I've noticed (sure wish I was cool enough to post on the thread where everyone else is reporting problems) MMS messages won't send if I'm connected to a wireless network. I have to shut off wifi for them to send.
The other much less annoying issue I've noticed is sometimes the clock in the status bar gets pushed behind the battery icon between in hours with 2 digits (10, 11, 12) and sometimes the AM/PM clips off screen Showing like a PN/AN If someone with 10+ posts could copy and paste this stuff to the original thread that would be grand. I've been keeping an eye out on the thread and haven't seen anyone else experiencing my problems Hyperdrive Thread
I just posted the same thing about the mms. Made a thread about it. So I'll check yours and you check mine. One if us has to get a reply right..

Rom is missing the MMS over wifi hack. MMS over wifi is not native.
Honestly I can easily handle the no mms over wifi, I don't send that many picture messages, but what has been driving me absolutely mad is having to press symbol everytime I want to use a comma or a dollar sign. It's frustrated me so much I went back to RLS11 and I'm just gonna flash the secmms.apk over so I can get rid of the long message bug. That was my only issue with RLS11. (Yes I know I could use ASOP but I don't want to )
Q&A for [ROM] [ALPHA]cm12.1- TN-kltespr-5.1 4/04/2015
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM] [ALPHA]cm12.1- TN-kltespr-5.1 4/04/2015. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
GPS won't lock. Tried Google maps and Waze.. No lock.. Rebooted, cleared cache, still not able to locate me.
I got lock right away no problem.
i can't hang a call, and the phone doesn't ring con incoming calls
When i make a phone call and push the hang Button just says hanging but doesnt do it and besides when someone calle me the phone doesnt evento ring or anything i already checo the notification and sound profiles.
Pretty Solid So Far
Been loving the ROM so far (Just loaded the 4/11 build)! Thank's for all the awesome work to get CM12.1 stable on the S5 (I've been very unimpressed with man of the other ROMs).
So here are a few things that I have seen:
The one way bluetooth audio (Yamaha sound bar) has been very stable, except for when I attempt to scan for other devices. Then it gets quite squirely.
The built-in APNs do not function correctly on Ting (a Sprint MVNO), however an APN MOD for CM11 appeared to fix this (https://help.ting.com/entries/42358068-LTE-MMS-APN-Fix-Android-4-4-Kit-Kat-)
Flixster won't play any videos (not sure if this is specific to this ROM or if it's a general CM issue, as the stock roms work just fine). Not sure where to look on this one, because any references to flixster not working are quite old and not the same error that I'm receiving (Simply an unable to play the video vs. due to security issues - root check).
Otherwise nothing else to complain about at this point. Keep it up!!!
income calls
I have no income calls, any idea? Thanks
So in reference to the GPS lock issues, I have noticed one behavior and it sounds like the dev forum may have recently shed some light.
In my case I've found that if I perform a restore via TWRP, then GPS fails to lock. However a full wipe/install functions just fine.
Go read more in the dev forum about this being a possible known issue with CM, and a workaround (haven't tried it myself or I'd describe it here).

The only issues I'm currently experiencing are:
When I cone out of airplane mode, the signal icon says I have no carrier signal.
The issue with not bring able to connect to TING. I plan on trying to publish that the 4.4 APN Mod still works for 5.x, and hopefully I can get TN to add it to their ROM forum page.
Does this have any volume boost integrated? If not, how hard is it for me to do it myself?
Will xposed work on this ROM?

Anyone able to double tap home to open the camera to work? All the other options work except that one. Maybe it's a CM issue because this didn't work for CM12 either.

Is this thread dead?
will this rom work for me?
let me know if can
