Would someone mind giving me the original files inside /system/media?
I tried replacing the original boot images with some custom ones originally meant for KD1 and well....they lag like h3ll on Gingerbread for some reason.
If you could just give me the files titled bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg that would be pure awesomeness.
Thanks

A user requested this boot animation to be seperated from the current Black Ops Boot animation thread. Here it is for everyone to enjoy.
Important: As usual this boot animation zip is not flashable and must be pushed via ADB or copied to your SDcard and then moved to the correct system folders.
Instructions: Push or copy the file "bootanimation.zip" just as it is d/l'd to either /system/customize/resource or /system/media on your phone. Audio file needs to be unrared and push/copied to those same directories. Make sure to rename the audio file "android_audio.mp3" if your boot animations are located in /system/media. The audio can remain titled as d/l'd for the other directory.
Of course, user Tiffany84 will provied flashable zips for everyone shortly, please be patient and thank her for her work as well.
Previews below, and as always, if you have questions or need help, please feel free to ask. Same goes for requests.
Enjoy,

Renaming the audio should work for those of us who have /system/media and audio working....correct? Or will it be out of sync?
Just checking.

If the flashable zip doesn't work for you, you can extract the bootanimation.zip out of the flashable and use root explorer to paste it in the proper folder. Unfortunately I don't know the location for that Rom. Most go in either system/media or system/ customize/resources. If you can find it, rename the new one, if necessary, to the same name and paste it to the same location.

If you're using a stock tmobile sensation 4G rom and just rooted/s-off or whatever
Yes, rename the file to TMOUS_bootanimation.zip and put it in /system/customize/resource/
Be sure to rename the original one in there just as a backup.
just used both of these, and they're pretty awesome.
nxt, thanks for porting the [GEARS] boot animation over to a new environment. Good to see there is an now an opportunity for others (outside of the original tablet release) that will enjoy it.
Thanks for the credit.
Thanks for the boot animation! Paired this with tinky1's splash screen and they go together perfectly!

These are the smali's for modding the framework.jar yourself. Decompile and recompile with smali/baksmali. It will edit in the functionality for using TW4 without issue.

Could you post detailed instructions on how you got the battery mod to work? I tried installing the file that you d/l and changing the other file and it didn't work for me. Thanks.
You don't have download it, you only have to
1copy the systemui.apk modified in your sd card
2go to a root browser in /system/app and copy the systemui.apk original in a folder in your sd card
3delete the original systemui.apk in /system/app and then copy the modified one in the same folder
4set the permission of the apk in rw-r-r
Hit thanks if i've helped you
