Hi to all!
Sorry for repeating the thread but I didn't find what I'm looking for.
I have Samsung Galaxy S2 and on a previous version of my ROM I had stock "Samsung keyboard" and it had ".com" key, but on new version on ROM I don't have it. I am looking now to download but I can't find it.
Please send me link or refer to this keyboard.
Best regards!

if you search on the market, you can find some keyborad that have this key,i think that smart keyboard can do this, you can also customize the ".com" key...
Thank you moss20, that is what I was looking for, finally!
Best regards!
Have a look at Swype keyboard, didn't have .com-Key but is otherwise great.
Have you tried the stock Gingerbread keyboard? Lightyears better (imo)
Swype and Gingerbread key oards are good, but the most closest to the stock Samsung keyboard is Smart keyboard. Anyway, can somebody post me refer to Samsung keaboard?

Hi,
I have read several old threads about this topic, but in non was a satisfing answer. So I decided to pose the Question more direct.
Under Cyanogen 4.2.2 it makes no difference what so ever what I select as system language the Keyboard is always qwerty and the wordsuggestions "english".
So is there a way to change it, that I don't get, without loading and Market Keyboard.

Well, I had the same problem. I just installed TouchPal which is a free, great default keyboard replacement.

Can´t change chinesse input method!!!
Dear all, I have the big problem that I have in my x10 mini the touchpal in chinesse as default, it is a system app. So I can´t use other input method or app to write sms. How can I change the lenguaje of this app?? I want spanish or english!! Are there any apps which make this work?? Thanks
I too am looking for this input in an apk. Willing to 'donate' for the cause should it work.
I know other inputs are possibly better but I'm used to this one now and can make it work as fast and easy as I want it to. Familiarity is good.
edit: and I'm learning Chinese but not fluent enough yet to read the above linked forum and request a Chinese person put it together.

Are you talking about this one?
^^ that's the one but I tend to use the qwerty for pinyin input. Do you have an apk for it? Are you able to mash one together? I'm still fairly new with android stuff and don't want to stuff up my beloved.

Yes, yes I do.
I've attached it here.
If you'd like, you can donate to me here
but it's not really a big deal.
Cheers, is this your work?
I pulled it from the system off my phone.
Wasn't much, but yeah I did it.
Enjoy
Alright cool. I don't mind honoring my previous statement and donating a small amount, but I'll test it out first to see if it works.
Thanks again
is there one for chinese hand writing input?
The HWR is handwriting recognition. I tested this now and it works great!
Thanks to zephyrix for sorting this out
Question
Hi Everyone
I'm a new user, I just brough a sony ericsson x10a from At&t, And my phone don't have chinese keyboard on the phone, can someone please tell me step by step how to install it. Also, how can i uninstall all the app that come with the phowe.....thanks and have a nice day
1. Go to settings > Applications and check the unknown sources box.
2. From the market install an app installer (I use App Installer by ModMyMobile)
3. Download the apk file uploaded earlier in this thread
4. Open it with your new app installer. This will install the keyboard.
To switch to this keyboard press and hold in a text field and go to input method and select Chinese Keyboard.
To switch from English to PinYin to Handwriting Recognition press the cog icon in the bottom left of the keyboard.
To change settings of the keyboard press and hold the cog icon in the bottom left of the keyboard.

Did the apk say it installed correctly? If so then you should be able to select the Chinese keyboard by pressing and holding your finger on the text box and selecting 'Input method' then Chinese keyboard. Note: I've not tried the apk here on the android 2.1 update. It may not work.
it's not working on version 2.2.1
i'll recommend HKIME

Sent from a real phone
Hi All, I've tried the new CM but it was too unstable for me, however, I would love to be able to install the keyboard that comes with it on my stock nexus-s...
Is that possible?
can somebody post the apk (or an update.zip with the relevant apk and libraries)?
Thank you!
Search the Market for Gingerbread Keyboard
Thanks but I already have the nexus s with the gingerbread keyboard, the keyboard in the mod is slightly better since it supports hebrew and allows to move between languages by swiping the spacebar button...
that's the functionality i'm looking for
My friend recommended https://market.android.com/details?id=com.klye.ime.latin , I think that is what I needed
Hi all,
I'm sorta new to the Android scene and just got my Note the other day. I've done some searching but couldn't find a keyboard addon out there that has a static row of number keys on top of the qwerty, like the one that JB iOS offer. All I found have to either hold or flick to get the numbers. Any suggestion?
Thx!

try hackers keyboard.
wow, thanks for the quick reply, it's pretty much what I'm looking for.
Try also Thumb Keyboard and Ultra Keyboard
Hi,
I was trying to get an answer to this but couldn't find anywhere.
I have just flashed Cyanogenmod on my Note Pro and found myself missing the good old Samsung stock keyboard.
I was thinking to download a differnt keyboard from the play store but after a long search i still want the stock keyboard (with the arrows, the ctrl and tab keys).
please help me to find a way to reinstall the samsung stock keyboard.
Thank you
Ray
This is the official app for it... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.visionobjects.resourcemanager
Alternatively, try Hacker's Keyboard for a truly full key set. It's a keyboard designed for coders, but as a writer I absolutely adore it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard It also has several dictionaries for T9.
Thanks for replying.

Thank you for your reply but the official app you suggested can't be downloaded from the play store.
(No install button and says: "your device is not compatible with this version")
As for the hacker's keyboard, I tried and think it's a good option but it's missing one important feature... No Swype
I don't think I'm asking that much... I just want a full keyboard with ctrl, tab, arrow keys, Swype and prediction.... That's all
Thanks again.
I think if it were me I'd have rooted stock, done a full backup in Titanium, as well as an nandroid of stock using TWRP prior to switching to CM. Once CM was running I'd selectively restore app only from Titanium being mindful that some old system apps may be touchwiz specific and may cause issues (so I'd update nandroid of CM periodically as I added them).
The APK is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46847745&postcount=88
I can't guarantee that it'll work though. Probably need to set permissions and all.
Try Ki Keyboard, it's on the play store ,I'm just not allowed to link to it until I reach 10 posts.
I paid for it, needed a keyboard which would allow me to change the width/height/padding/margin of each key on the keyboard. By doing this, I managed to measure out my home full-size keyboard, and the keys, and create a near 1:1 replica using Ki Keyboard. I hate touchscreen keyboards, but this is the closest I can get!
