If I go to download an apk or far file on a thread it gets to 100% and says download unsuccessful.his happens even if I retry. I've toggled between XDA classic and XDA 2010. Help please.
I've noticed the same issue before, I have to use the app to download, but my nexus s and nexus one both can download from the site so go figure.

It's annoying and I prefer browsing from the web not the app.

Any one have experience with orbot? I have it on and I have my browser set to go through it. I even have java etc. turned off in the browser and if I go to a site that shows you your ip it shows I'm not going through a proxy.

Anytime I try to download any type of file through the stock browser on my G2x I get <download unsuccessful> anyone have any idea why? I didn't think anything of it until now when I just realized that it happens every single time.

I have the same issue. It doesn't happen every time, but certainly happens a lot. I have no idea what to do about it.

you need something like astro file manager. in the settings is an option to enable downloading zip files. there are probably alternatives in the market besides this as well.
Thanks! That works. I've never had to do that on any other Android phone I've used.

Search for a pgm called "download all files" in the market. Worked wonders for me.

If you're still having issues, try download crutch. No idea why it was taken off the market, but it's always worked for me.

Thanks everyone. Everything that you all said to try works. I appreciate it.

Yesterday xda app stopped showing participated threads. It does the same thing on all my tapatalks and xda app. A few other people have said this too. Is this a known bug or something that's already being addressed?

Did the Free XDA APP get updated? It looks exactly like the paid version now unless my sh** is all messed up. I love the paid version of XDA APP and everything... but damn its laggy compared to the free version. Not horribly laggy, but it takes a minute for the app to boot up so you can scroll the forums without scroll lag.
Yea free app got an update. That's when the issue started for me. It does seem to be a lot cooler now though. With having the photo and attchment options.

why don't they roll back until they get this fixed? it is unusable at this point.
Update seems to be complicated...
Deinstalled old xda app and now i only find xda premium app in market app.
if i try normal app via browser and select my device it says not compatible...
WTF
So im not able to use xda app atm! (only xda premium app is compatible atm)
PLZ fix it ASAP!
For the past week or so when I open the app I get redirected to the google store. I have to close the store and reopen XDA app. Anyone else experienced this?

This has been happening to me as well.. only it will not only open the store but also my browser and then i have to hit the back button like 5 times to get back to where i can open xda again.. then half the time it does it again.
I decided that to get rid of the ads i would just get the premium versio . So what.. it was only a $1.50... come to find out the premium version is nothi g like the free version. I get some extra widgets to put on the home screen but i cant even change the notification sound..
I just wanted the free app without being redirected 5 different places due to ads.. ?
Thanks for your response, not a good thing but at least I'm not the only one. Maybe I'll go back to using the browser instead of the app. It just happened again, first it open my browser then went to play store. Closed play store and opened app, then it worked.

I too have noticed this happening over just the past few days.
It is super annoying but it's nice to know I'm not the only one having the problems.

I have also been having this issue. Does anyone know whether this is intentional behavior or perhaps some setting I unwittingly made?

It's nothing you've done. I'm uninstalling this app and leaving negative feedback. It used to be a good app, and I've used it for a few years now, but I'm done with the redirections.

Good idea, uninstalling it also.

Uninstalled the app, now using chrome browser I still get redirected, be.
