Extended Battery Mugan Power 3600 mAh

Has anyone ordered/tried this battery yet? It seems super bulky but I need something that'll at least get me 24 hours of life and I don't think the 1800 one will do it.

You can get a coupe of stock batteries plus an external charger for about 10 bucks on ebay, I dunno why you would wanna spend $100 on that thing, the added bulk and weight on an already big device would suck ass

I don't know, it just seems like a pain to carry all these extra things. We'll see though. @[email protected]

I'll probably check this out. I've owned some truly bulky Sidekicks and never sweated the weight or bulk.

Yes. Have one.
Weighs about the same as a Sidekick LX and the device is now about the same thickness as a Sidekick 2/3. If either of those things make you feel uncomfortable, the battery isn't for you.
Shipping from Hong Kong takes forever and I have heard rumors of spotty quality control down at Mugen. There are some people around the forums that have had to return defective batteries. (My guess is that it is not a pleasant place to work and the hours are long. So, be patient.) With that said, I'm happy to report no problems so far.
After a few charges, you will start to see the benefits of the extra juice. Don't bother trying to calibrate the battery yourself, I have found that deleting the battery stat file actually makes the device expect the stock battery. All you can do is follow the instructions that come with your battery.
The extra capacity is nice and I don't mind the extra bulk. You'll have to decide if the trade off is worth it. Good luck.

ive had it for a few months, i love it i airbrushed the case to match my phone and depending on rom/usage/other facotrs i can easily go for 1 day one weekend i went for 36 hrs with light use and juice defender on and it still had some juice left

With moderate use, I have to charge my phone every other day right now. 36 hours is about right for general use.
Heavy or constant use is about 10-12 hours. The display seems to eat the most battery, so this applies to just about any tasks that I do on the device.
My results may not refect what you would get. I have removed all of the built in T-Mo and Zipwip software. I use Voodoo sound on top of the stock kernel (no V6SC mod). I use Green Power to manage my data.

I have the 1800mAh battery in my Sidekick. It was just the bump that my device needed. I can go a full day easily doing what I need to do. I'm running Glorious Overdose V1 as my ROM and am using K9 Email with IMAP IDLE enabled which is a battery hog IMO but I need my push email. The nice things about the 1800 versus the larger batteries are a lower price and it fits inside the stock cover.

yeah the 1800 wouldnt have been enough for me, but the stock cover would have been nice

which 1800 did you purchase? the Mugen or a generic?

IMO don't buy that bulky battery just install the new rubix xcel rom for the phone make a battery calibration than lower the brightness and voila your battery last much longer.

I have the mugen power 3600 mah battery in my phone. Probably the best investment i've ever made since the 2400 mah battery on my old G1. It lasts me through the ENTIRE day on 3G (I never saw the 4G icon btw. probably because of where i live)
I leave for work at around 8AM, drive to college at 4PM, and drive back home at 8PM. on all trips (30-45 mins), I listen to online MP3 streams on 3G. At work and college, I check twitter, gtalk, G+ messenger, email, and some light browsing.
i hit 15% battery at around 1 AM or so. I never felt so careless about charging my phone
EDIT: also, the fat battery cover makes the phone feel far more ergonomic than with the stock battery cover. the size feels just natural for my hands.

i know only use mine on weekend trips, day to day i use the stock batt at the office because its plugged into the computer anyhow

anyone who has the 1800 mah battery, which one did you buy? i bought replacement batteries off ebay, they were super cheap- 2 1800 mah batteries plus external charger for 11 bucks. if i charge em up in the external charger and put em in the device they work fine, but anytime i try to plug the phone in, either to a wall charger or usb, the phone goes dead... completely dead, and i have to unplug, pull the battery and reboot. has anyone experienced this? i guess i got what i paid for
edit: i'm guessing people got the Mugen 1800, i see it now on ebay for around $44.

I changed to the new rage 3.6 time and my battery lasts twice as long

Hey yogi hows the battery life on those cheapo 1800s u got? I gotta do something cuz stock lasts me maybe 6hrs tops, normally 4ish and that's with me using two diff s2 as my primary phone. my s2's get an ez 3x the battery life then the sk and all i do on it is text lol

Don't get em, haha. The battery life on them seemed even less than the stock 1500 mah! Plus the flaw I mentioned about the phone shutting down when plugged in with those batteries. I've had some good luck at times with cheap replacement batteries, but that particular set was a real flop. For reference, I think it was $8.99 for 3 batteries + ext. charger.... avoid!

Seems like a good investment if you tend to use your device like a computer. But for me, it'd be pointless.

Want extra battery life? Simple answer is to buy a spare battery!

I spent days, even months trying to make my battery last longer and looking for portable chargers to carry around with me just incase I needed it.
I then realised I should just buy another battery, I have no idea why I had never thought of this before.
So a few months ago I purchased a refurbished genuine battery from eBay for only £4. The only problem now was the trouble of keeping one battery charged while using another. I then found a desktop charger which can charge the battery without the phone (link below)

It will automatically stop charging the battery when full, but will still consume alot of electricity if left plugged in.
I've been using this method for about 6 months now with no problems whatsoever.
Now whenever my battery goes dead whilst I'm out, I just simple switch batteries and I have full charge again. It takes 2 minutes to swap batteries, no trouble at all, and a battery isn't too big to carry around, I keep mine in my back pocket or in my wallet.

They want to be able to charge the phone when it needs to be charged, but they don't want to look at the percentage every five minutes and fear that the battery will be dead after a day.
Thus they want a battery with more juice.
A lot of people have skins for their phones to protect it and keep the resell value high. Those people might even consider to buy a powerskin which would give them an extra 1500mAh (at a price of course, but that's price vs. convenience).
Others know how to preserve their preciously mAhs.
Normally the phone should drain your battery by 1% to 1.5% every hour. That means it can run in standby and wait for calls and texts for up to 4 days.
Since you normally use the phone at least a bit, you should be able to keep it running on one charge for two days.
The last resort is to keep multiple batteries.
It can happen that you forget the spare. It can happen that you forget to charge the spare. It can happen that it's just not possible to swap batteries because you are standing outside in the dark.
There are just so many points why you would want to try and extend your phones live before you carry around a spare.

I prefer to carry a spare. Takes only a couple of hours to charge, and I always put it in my wallet straight after its charged. It's the cheapest option and imo its the best option. Better than a big bulky cover with a battery inside it that also costs a bomb.

I bought mugen power 1500 mAh. It's better, but still not for all day heavy use...
So i order htc Evo 3d with 3600 extended mugen power battery with spare cover.

The external charger thing is awesome. I always have a fresh battery available. Super cheap too. I have 4 batteries, enough to leave one at work, in the car, and at home.

It does seem the easiest and the cheapest option. I tried larger batteries and portable chargers, but none of them would make the battery last as long as I needed it to.
But now having a spare battery with a desktop charger is the best option for me, it cost me less than £10 for the genuine battery and desktop charger, and all I have to do when my battery is dying, is simply replace the battery. Less than 2 minutes later I have full charge. It's not hard, and it's not expensive, I just don't understand why people chose very expensive, and less effective options when this seems the most effective as it's twice as much juice, and it's the cheapest option too, extremely cheap.
The only downside is if you forget to take the spare battery out with you, but I got used to putting it in my wallet or my jeans pocket straight after it has charged. Some people say it's a stupid option because you may forget to take it out with you, but I could argue saying people with portable chargers could forget to take them out with them too. The way I see it is, you get so used to not forgetting to take your phone out with you, everyone checks to make sure they have their phone with them before they go out, and after a week or 2 you finally get used to taking the battery out too. When I first got the spare battery I did sometimes forget to take it out with me, but after a week I got use to checking I had the battery with me, as well as the phone.

I bought a portable charger for £24 from Amazon, and it's proved really handy for me. It's a 7000mah Tecknet and can charge two devices at once as comes with loads of adapters. Although the spare battery is a good solution it's only a solution for that one device. A portable charger will also charge your back up or 2nd phone, mp3 player, and any other phone you buy in the future. It is as big as the phone so it's easily pocketable. I've considered carrying it in my boxers just to see the look on peoples faces when I unzip my jeans and plug my phone into my crotch. I've also been meaning to test exactly how many charges it does but it's at least 3.

Yes, they are brilliant, I must admit. But spare battery is good for cheaper option. I did buy one of those portable chargers but it stopped working within 2 weeks so I didn't bother with another.

I've got a NewTrent 5000mAh power pack, and it's good for - about - 3 charges. Not easy to be precise about that, since no accumulator maintains and returns 100% of its capacity, but 5000mAh is more than enough.
I use it for mountainbiking when I want to record a track and also communicate my position for 4-7 hours, without having to stop, lose a few minutes and change batteries.
Different solutions will be valid for different needs, but this is easy to charge and easy to use.
And it cost me about €20 off Amazon, which is a lot less than an OEM/Mugen battery.

The only battery that will increase capacity is the Mugen 1500mAh battery. There are a couple of threads already in this forum on this battery.
All the ebay batteries offering the world are, let's say, misleading the consumers.

The Mugen battery are less reliable, also even if its 1500mAh, it may discharge much quicker than our original battery.

How can it have more mAh than the original if it discharges quicker?
Maybe you should think about that for a bit.

Mugen battery has higher capacity!
and for my case, it lasts longer then stock batt.

Aftermarket Batteries

has anyone tried any of the aftermarket batteries, whether it be from a store, ebay, amazon, etc.
I ordered a 2200mah battery for my Infuse off ebay for $8.
I am going to try that out and see if I get anymore life out of it.
I would have gotten the 3500mah battery, but I use an otterbox and I dont think it would fit since it has the bigger cover to hold the bigger battery.
I work in a metal forging plant, so I have to use an otterbox for my work... so it is a must have if I want my phone to last.
I did order a 3500mah battery for my wifes Samsung Captivate.. She doesn't really use/need a case. I got that off ebay as well.. for about the same price.
I hope her phone lasts longer, because she can't even get a day out of it... hers is rooted running MIUI.

I just got one of them 3500 batteries from amazon and its a solid battery, it wont fit on the case because i have the Otterbox case and cant use it with this, but you can definitely tell the difference in how long it lasts, and the case fits on the back of the phone great it has tabs and snaps right in. I use this battery when i am at home using wifi or alot of power on my phone and use the Samsung battery when i leave. Great investment for $10 but when you have the case on the phone it won't do you no good.

Getting a larger battery will help, but there's a lot of ways you can manage your phone's power consumption to dramatically increase your battery's life.

All I've done is use the power management program Juice Defender (on extreme setting, so data is off unless I toggle it on), not use a live wallpaper, and use a Gingerbread ROM (R3VELATION). With light to moderate use I get about a day of life, and if I took further steps I could even get more out of my battery than that.
EDIT: Whoops, you're the same poster as here, so it looks like the new larger capacity battery has solved your battery problems. I'll just leave this post up here anyway since it might help others.

Bought the two pack of 1800 batteries from Anker at Amazon. they work drivers. I no longer have my phone plugged in as I can just charge all of the batteries using their awesome wall charger and such one in when a battery dies.

I also recommend to use dock charger like on ebay, i bought also 2200mAh batterys so i can charge them both and the free one can charge much faster since it's not in take-and-give cycle like when it's in phone usage.

Came in here to ask the same question about aftermarket batteries...was thinking about buying the OEM one off ATT site for $30 because I don't see an official aftermarket battery and i'm not sure I want to buy a $10 aftermarket off of amazon or ebay because of stories I hear about cheap China made batteries exploding or damaging the phone in some way

The description doesn't say so but all the reviews say it comes with an OEM battery along with the charger...great deal for $30 in my opinion if it is all OEM

The thing I've read about these batteries is they don't have a shelf life. Meaning as soon as they are made they start to depreciate. Then they sell the old ones on e bay, amazon at reduced prices as they don't last as long as a freshly hot off the press battery.
I have never had any luck in buying a extra mha rating battery, having it last an extra long time. I got Chinese 2500mah it don't last that long, and then I went and got a high capacity gold 2430mah it only last as long as a 1750mah , rather I have no idea how long normal is, as I got my infuse at a pawn shop used, battery last about 5-6 hours, normal usage, but what is normal? What is the basis of comparison? I mostly use it for movies, and wifi and, angry birds which eat my battery up.
My theory is the more you pay the younger they are, a 4 dollar batter last less then a 10th dollar battery. But I don't have the monies to buy every battery in all the price ranges to test and do all that techy stuff. To me it is just a grip shoot. Hit or miss.

All batteries age during use.
Aging factors are temperature and also voltage.
I think temperature is well known but I don't hear as many people talk about voltage.
Charging your phone to 100% and leaving it on the charger encourages aging.
Some of the cheapo's are not as resistant to aging as the stock batteries. Common story is they work fine for the first day or two and then start to noticeably lose capacity. I noticed that when I tried out the Fujei battery.
Adding to the whole mess as you alluded... evaluating battery life quantitatively is not an easy deal. My usage varies every day.
I get a rough feeling when my battery life is fading but it's subtle.
Battery Monitor Widget has a feature where it estimates your actual 100% battery capacity in milli-Amp-hours (1750 = factory spec but actual will be different and will decrease over time as the battery ages). I think that if you use BMW and allow your phone an uninterrupted charge from low voltage like 20% up to 100% (without using the phone during that period), then it will develop a pretty good estimate of your battery 100% milli-amp-hour capacity (because our phone does have a charging current monitor which BMW accesses, but it does not have a battery discharge current monitor). That's a lot of work, but probably not a bad thing to do once a month to keep track of your capacity so you'd see a trend like 1750 one month, 1700 the next month, etc. I might start doing that some day..

3500mAh Battery
It's been a week, and my battery life is going UP. I plugged in today, and at 1931 hrs today, I still had 61% of my battery life left. I have not had any appreciable decline in battery life, nor reduction in longivity. With the stock battery, my phone is completely dead by 1715. I unplug daily at 0800. My battery life has easily doubled by purchasing a no-name battery from an Ebay seller. I'm quite impressed with it, and I spent $80 on an extended battery when I had my TP2.

Has anyone try those 2500 mah batteries from ebay? I am interest in buying those since they are only 4 USD each. What do you guys think?

uuh... the relay is already quite thick, with that battery it will be huge... i personally wouldn't, but it's a matter of personal taste

I had an extended battery on my Doubleshot before this - the bulk didn't really bother me. Maybe I'm strange but I didn't mind. Especially with the battery life I got.

i has extended batteries for my G1 one back then. i used them when i took the device with me geocaching. I had two of them and they made the device stay up longer than i ever did
downside with the bulky back covers is, that the device won't fit into any pouches no more. and, of course cases no longer fit either.
but once you're used to the shape - imho - the added thickness is no longer disturbing.

I had purchased a EZO high capacity battery with cover from Amazon--the same day I ordered the phone. That was months ago and I see the battery is no longer available on the site.
That's a shame, because the package was reasonably priced, the cover fits well, and the battery works as promised.
The device can run about ten consecutive hours for me running CM9 without any CPU profiles and with the governour set to interactive.
If I'm going to be away from a charger for a long time, I've found that setting the device to powersave is tolerable for most applications and the battery goes from good to ridiculous...
The additional bulk will turn off some buyers; however, I have found that it makes sliding the keyboard open much easier...
If you can find an EZO battery and you don't mind the extra bulk, I recommend one.

I had purchased a EZO high capacity battery with cover from Amazon--the same day I ordered the phone. That was months ago and I see the battery is no longer available on the site.
That's a shame, because the package was reasonably priced, the cover fits well, and the battery works as promised.
The device can run about ten consecutive hours for me running CM9 without any CPU profiles and with the governour set to interactive.
If I'm going to be away from a charger for a long time, I've found that setting the device to powersave is tolerable for most applications and the battery goes from good to ridiculous...
The additional bulk will turn off some buyers; however, I have found that it makes sliding the keyboard open much easier...
If you can find an EZO battery and you don't mind the extra bulk, I recommend one.

Nope. No NFC.

I've had my Relay 4G about a month and a half now, and am already looking at getting an extended battery. I find myself charging it a few times a day - sometimes I'll only get maybe 3 hours before it's "critically low". Yes, I do use it a ton - it's currently my main computer, since I rarely have access to my parents' laptop and my desktop, whose case+mobo+cpu I recently sent to the recycle bin, bit the dust over a year ago. Also I have unlimited unthrottled 4G on T-Mobile (and used well over 10-12GB last month, & this (billing) month am currently at 12.21GB since April 28.
I've seen the Mugen 4600mAh battery with NFC online around $90 (way too rich for my blood), and the EZOPower 4100mAh (no NFC) for around $17-23 or so at Amazon or NewEgg, among other places. I was originally wary of the cheap price on the EZO, but if the huge price difference is due to NFC and not being a cheaply made battery, I'd want the EZO, possibly 2. I don't use the NFC hardly at all, and I suppose if I really need it sometime I could pop the original stock battery back in for the occasion.
So any reason for me to NOT get the EZOPower 4100mAh? If I get 2, I'll probably also want an external charging solution so I can charge one while using the other. Also is there a hardshell case (with a built-in stand) available that fits the phone with the larger battery door? BTW unavailability of those two things won't be dealbreakers for me getting the battery. I had an extended battery for my G1, and that phone finally bit the dust after ~4+ years. (I wonder if my SGH-T699 will last that long…)

would somebody care to explain to be why nfc is dependand on the battery?
the batteries have just the same 4 connectors as any other cell battery i always had in my hands.
or are they made of materials that don't shield the nfc waves passing though?

nfc antenna is in the battery casing. NFC antennas go for about $5 on ebay, if you figured out which two connectors go to the nfc you could probably set up your own if your battery doesn't support it.

Can anyone confirm whether the Relay accurately reports on the extended batteries? I'm currently using a patched Droid 3, but I'm starting to find its limitations too restrictive, and I'm thinking of plonking down for a Relay.

I also picked up two EZO batteries. They have a well made cover and last for twice what stock does. Unfortunately it didn't have a NFC antenna and both have now swollen up to the point they no longer fit. While I had left them plugged in after full charge, they seem to stay warm and not tolerate it well. Can't say how well they could have lasted if better cared for, but abuse or overcharging seems to effect them quickly.
Does the mugen or other brands also have issues? If anyone else have suggestions.

Well, it just displays a percentage. It at least seems accurate while logging with Juice Defender's graph, it would track down at fairly consistent rate until charged or out of power. As for swapping over to a Relay, It's about as well supported as any slider out right now. I haven't been disappointed.

the EZObattery rocks. For $19 (I got mine on ebay) I get 2 days and a few hours into the 3rd before needing a charge.
I have the same issue kilr00y mentioned about it not fitting into pouches or cases except I found now that the phone is harder to flip open and safely hold at the same time while doing 90 other things at once which is when I always need to use the phone. I keep an aftermarket case on the front screen part but can't find an extended back case. I made my own from a tube of black silicone but would love to hear it if anyone finds another option. I don't mind if the phone turns into 1988 brick style size so long as the battery lasts and I don't crack the screen again.

I was looking at extended batteries and if I'm not mistaken, there seems to be a genuine extended battery that should work with this phone. Just would need an extended battery cover. Battery model is: EB-L1K6ULZ (Link)

It looks good. Be aware that most "extended" battery will not last long... In particular when they have a lower voltage than the original battery. Lot of battery with higher mAh run at 3.7V instead of 3.8V this make it last shorter than the original.

I've had 2 of the EZOPower 4100mAh batteries, and am experiencing the same problem that stonefoz mentioned about the batteries swelling. In my case, for example, the current one has gotten to where the cover will just spontaneously pop off, and the battery will dislodge, forcing the phone to lose power. Also, regarding his "staying warm" comment - sometimes when I was doing something extensive on the phone, it'd sometimes get so hot, especially the keyboard area, that I could barely hold it, and that concerns me some.
I believe the second one has lasted longer than my first, though. It's not quite as bad now as my first was when I replaced it. I bought my first one May 18, 2013, and my second one September 18, 2013, 4 months later. It's lasted till now, May 7, 2014, 7 and a half months later, but it's about time to replace it.
It looks like it's no longer available, but I was thinking I should try a different one anyway.
One option is this 4600 mAh Mugen battery for about $90, and another is this 5000 mAh MPJ battery for about $35. The MPJ does say it's only 3.7 volts, which according to scaltro could be a concern with longevity per charge.
I definitely would like better battery life. I've noticed that playing FarmVille 2: Country Escape is quite a drain - I'd go from full battery to getting the low battery warning after only something like 2 to 3 hours or so, even with the EZO battery. Earlier, I popped in the factory Samsung battery, topped off its charge, then decided to test battery life playing FV2. I also turned on bluetooth (and sent the sounds to an external speaker), cranked the screen brightness all the way up, and turned off power saver mode, in an attempt to get a "worst-case scenario". I tried turning on WiFi (we have a hotspot here now) but it wouldn't connect to the game server, so I just went through my unlimited+unthrottled 4G.
The results:
2:45am - battery full, unplugged
4:15am - battery 22% (I checked it a few times along the way periodically, but neglected to note the times)
4:23am - battery 14%, had just gotten the battery low popup warning
4:33am - battery 5%, battery critically low popup warning
4:35am - battery 3%, then I went and plugged it in.
So, it lasted only about an hour and 50 minutes from full to 3% remaining. I'm hoping a good battery would be able to go all day and all night and into the next day with similarly-intensive use. (No I wouldn't be playing games the entire time of course!)
Personally, if the $35 MPJ battery would be good enough, and significantly better than the EZO, I'd prefer to go for that one.
I'm wondering, though, if the $90 Mugen is a huge leap up in quality, though (disregarding the NFC for now which I haven't had to use)? It's a bit rich for my blood to drop all at once on a battery for a phone ... BUT, their website tells me they accept returns up to a year later (and I've gone through TWO EZOs in that time), which gives me some hope. If, overall, I'd be spending less by getting one Mugen and it outlasting 4 or 5 EZOs (if they were still available), I'd get that.
On a side note, it'll be a while before I can afford to replace my phone, but when I do, I'd really like a good QWERTY keyboard. I see that very few phones come with them now, though, and the ones that are are near the bottom of the barrel spec-wise. I'm thinking I'll need to get an external compact bluetooth or USB keyboard with my next phone, and expand my options for the phone itself. Ideally I'd like to get one that I can put in a flip case, with the phone in the other side of it, and close it when I'm not using it. (Although, there is the concern with getting the phone out quickly to answer calls, although I maybe only talk 25-50 minutes a month or so.) Any suggestions on what to look for in the case/keyboard department, for example? Chances are it won't be till 2015 at the earliest (and my wallet hopes my Galaxy S Relay 4G will last through 2016 or so unless it dies or something else goes seriously wrong) before I get a new phone, but I like to start my search early. When I do get one, I'm hoping it'll last at least 4-5 years, and maybe stretch it to 7-10 if I'm pressed for cash then.

My device can run OpenGL applications for about 9 hours straight with the brightness set to 50%. It's about the same for movies. I get decent signal at my house and GPS is disabled when I am not using it. I use Green Power and Greenify to save battery when the device is locked, but that wouldn't affect using the device.
I am on an official Cyanogen nightly, so there's really no battery saving hocus pocus at work here.
Make no mistake, an extended battery will get you about 9 hours of heavy use. I thought I was going to die when I used a stock battery for a week waiting for my new Mugen to replace the old EZO. The device literally couldn't survive one day of use for me.

Ahh, so your EZO bloated too, just took a little longer than mine did.
Sounds like the Mugen (if that's the one you describe getting 9 hours of heavy use) has relatively decent life. Would you say it's significantly better per charge in that respect than the EZO was when it was good?
Also how is the Mugen for longevity, as in not swelling, etc? If I buy a Mugen, would I over the long term pay the same or less than if I had kept buying EZOs? Paying $90 in one blow seems a bit heavy on the wallet, but I'd do it if I'm getting that much better quality & longevity.

Honestly, I got about the same results with my EZO battery: just over 9 hours of constant heavy use. Other than the fact it swelled up, it worked great. I guess there was a reason it was so cheap...
I had a Mugen battery for my Sidekick 4G before I bought the Relay and it still works great. (I loaned the SK4G to a friend that broke his phone.) My new Mugen hasn't had any problems, but I've only had it a few months.
Combined with TeamApex's Cyanogen and this awesome QWERTY keyboard, my extended batteries have made this phone the most productive and useful device I have ever owned. I can't say enough great things about ApexTmo, the Relay, and extended batteries.

ZeroLemon LG v10 extended battery case

I've connected ZeroLemon about making a case for this phone. I know not everyone needs extended battery or likes bulky but I've used it on 3 post phones and love the extra weight and 3 days of battery life heavy use without charge. Is anyone else here interested in a ZeroLemon battery case for this phone?

I have had one on a past phone at the time battery time sucked but now batteries can go so much farther. The only thing i really don't like about them is the bulkiness if they can find a way to slim it down a little i would definitely be in.

I had one on my G4 as well. Very interested and hoping its 10000mah.

Yup. I bought the phone yesterday and filled out the promo stuff last night!
One pro for using multiple "regular" batteries is that I would actually be able to use cases again. I've been using the plain black zerolemon tpu on my Note 2 for years and it would be nice to use regular cases again.
However, I would definitely still like to have a zerolemon for the V10. I'd definitely use it any time I went out of town!

Sounds like this is not a product for you. Some people however want this and Zerolemon should capitalize on this. Having extended battery is really convenient. Also a lot of people don't give a damn bulk

I love my Note 2 jumbo brick. Still trying to get used to pinching my fingers / hand on this skinny thing.
I am currently driving (riding) home from a weekend road trip to the mountains for hiking and fall color pictures. Just 1 week ago I got home from 10 days in Hawaii where I was hours at a time without a charger.
In December I'll be on another trip that will have me away from charging sources (star wars marathon and Disney's Hollywood Studios special opening night event)
Extended batteries were made for me.
I hope to get by with 2 + batteries and tell myself the pro will be getting to use "normal" cases.
Unless you have gotten used to and used an extended battery for an extended period of time you probably won't understand.
My phone use is nothing like people with "regular" batteries.
I am no longer used to making sure things are turned off. I don't have to worry about screen brightness (although to be honest I used auto brightness 90% of the time on my Note 2)
I stream music (sometimes YouTube), take a ton of pictures, make long phone calls, use navigation and never use Wi-Fi because my T-Mobile LTE is way faster than my home Wi-Fi and I have unlimited data.
I never had to worry about battery.
I like it that way.
Today, I had to conserve and I didn't like it and I still ran out and am currently plugged into a very large external charger. (surprise! The fuse is blown in the cigarette lighter and can't plug in!)
What I'm trying to say is...just because you don't have a need or see a need for something doesn't mean that there is no need for it.
There is a time and a place and when I go out of town again I hope an extended battery will be available to take with me!

Works better than any extended battery

That's pretty much what I was plugged into last night. My husband has a multi function external battery (charges just about anything even jump start a car)
Still means I have to carry around something extra.
We'll see. If Zerolemon makes an extended battery I'll buy it for trips.
For day to day use I'll try the extra oem battery route.
If Zerolemon doesn't make an extended battery i will definitely pick up my own external. Hopefully something capable of quick charging. That is one feature that the battery I was using last night definitely doesn't have!

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this isn't for everyone. But ZeroLemon has great business because there are people that love the product including extra weight and bulk. Now if you're done showing off, you can pat yourself on the back and leave. Sorry that not every one can agree with your point of view

I had one for my G3 and it was great. I probably only had it on for a month total, so just going with an external may have been a better use of money, but it was so darn convenient. Not having to charge/carry multiple devices was really nice.
The times I used it most was on a few international trips and long days by the river for crew regattas. It was great for the vacations, paired with the really slow free international data from TMo and tethered to my GFs iphone, she could imessage (I think that's what it's called) and what not and have no extra fees.
EDIT: Forgot to add, it also gives the phone great crime deterrent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XX1iW6kmqdE since it weighed about 8.5 lbs

I would be very surprised if someone doesn't make an extended or at least external battery pack. If not Zerolemon, there are numerous others. Being that this has removable battery I suspect sooner rather than later

I've used a zerolemon extended battery on two phones now (both samsungs) and loved it. I'm a heavy user, and have never been able to make it a day on a normal battery. I listen to music all day from my phone, in a building that has very poor service (i.e. huge battery drain always searching for service). I'm always moving around as well, so would rather not have to remember to unplug from charger. It just makes things a whole heck of a lot easier not to have to worry about battery life throughout the day.

I'm a battery swapper. Especially now that my Note 3's battery are dirt cheap, $8 OEM on Amazon. I buy them by the dozen. LOL.
End of the day, I come home put in a new battery, put the old one on the wall charger. Leave the phone on all night connected to wifi. In the morning I take the battery off the charger and put it on the bottom of the stack of already charged batteries I have. Take a spare with me, fits in my Belroy credit card wallet or the little front pocket of my jeans. All my settings are on full blast, I don't worry about battery life because in 10 seconds I'm back at 100%. And I get better performance out of each battery since its not getting used two days in a row.
