GB leak Flashlight App - Verizon Droid Charge

Has anyone found a working app to use the led flash as a flashlight?

You might try tesla led, then go into settings and choose droid froyo. Let me know if it works.

Didn't work. Tried all settings

This was answered in the recommended apps thread if I'm not mistaken, but this is the app I recommended, works flawlessly.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.devuni.flashlight&feature=apps_topselling_free

I use the Nexus Torch app. The strobe doesn't work on my Charge, but everything else does.

Use this app here. Tiny Flashlight + LED . Its a good easy light and has a couple cool easy features. And the GUI is nice to look at.

Tiny Flashlight does not work. I am running the leaked gingerbread. Tiny worked great when I was on froyo. Also, Nexus Torch does not work either.

Hey I just found an app that works on the latest leak its called DroidLight by Motorola and it actually works even though Droid charge isn't listed at all.
and if you need a widget the LED light is also working for me as well.

Works great thank you. I have been looking for awhile for a flashlight app that works and never would have guess the one by Moto would have worked. Thanks again.

Ugh droidlight doesnt work for me. On 2.2.1. Been looking for some time now

Tiny Flashlight works for me on the GB leak so far on each rom I've tried from stock to GC 1.0-1.5. I do have to press the on button twice before the light turns on but it always does.

Works great. It's called Incredilight though. Incredelight didn't turn anything up in the marketplace for me. Thanks!

Great find! I was looking for an app for the LED light, and this is it! Awesome! Thanks a lot!
Its only for ROOTED incredible's though! There was another working version for rooted incredibles out a couple weeks ago too. but it was never in the market.
Just for an alternative, you can also use an app called Lampuu which works great for rooted incredibles.
I think its "lamppu" not "lampuu"
it's a great app
"Incredible LED Flashlight" is one I bought off market before root and any other working ones were out. but the development on it has halted and doesn't seem to be getting the updates. Has a few issues, but for someone who doesnt have a rooted phone it might be what they need.
I'm using lamppu and it works great. Even has a handy widget for on/off. Must have root though.

Yeah Lamppu's widget is super convenient.
I actually use both.
Incredilight has a SUPER BRIGHT mode which is great.

Changing the display brightness from the status bar

I noticed that if I hold and slide my finger on the status bar, the brightness will change accordingly: to the left = darker and to the right = brighter. Is it documented anywhere?
Not sure if extremely well known, but it has at least been brought up several times in different captivate threads.
As long as auto brightness is off

May be a samsung thing because it doesn't do it on cm7.

I do miss it myself....but not bad enough to go back!
if your on cm7 or miui theres a free widget called "brightness widget" or something that is really useful
I am running Serendipity 6.3 and it works for me too, I think it works reguardless of the launcher

Right. it's been there for me with serendipity since I've been using it (5.something) and I believe it was in assonance too.

It's a Touchwiz feature. It has been there since forever. It's strange they don't mention it anywhere in the quickstart guides or anything because I use it daily.
Honestly on cm7 just put a brightness switch in your notification bar.

I never knew that, thanks!
This is nice. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Now I can save 4x1 by getting rid of the power control widget

LED Flashlight for Charge

Hi guys,
I've just released Tiny Flashlight + LED v3.9.7 on the Android Market. v3.9.7 adds full support for Droid Charge 4G (including a widget). Check it out.
Thanks! This is one thing I realized I would miss when switching phones.

works great I like the widget animation. I recommend to anyone
I can't wait to pull my friends over with the police strobe.
Works great on the Captivate and fixing to add it to the Charge. Very well thought out and an impressive little app. Nice graphics work on the caution lights as well.
I cant find it anymore. Anybody know where it went?

Don't think it was pulled. I'm guessing that the signature for EE4 hasn't been fully processed by Google's system yet.

[app] [sms notification] keylights

Notice * all credit goes to TheJza over at sdx
This was an app my wife used on her moment to flash the lights across the bottom. I could have sworn that I tried it when i first bought my evo and it didn't work. Well I tried again today and tada!
The reason behind needing it is that I can't see the led from across the room even with the wimax notifier. Now it gets my attention.
I have not tested the affect on battery yet. Or what roms it works with. Im on evokings shift need for speed rom now and it works. Please test and feedback.

I think the links there are bad but read up on it if you like.

The apk is here.
I just tested it on my wifes shift rooted with a stock rom and it works. sooo thats
2.3.3 shift rom on the evo (Evokings need for speed and misfits speedy)
2.1 shift rom on the shift
CM7 on the Shift
Evervolv on The Shift
CM7 evo but I couldn't clear them. They keep blinking
Fresh 3.5 (closest thing to stock on my SD)
Unable to install on cm7. I'm sure it needs updated to gb

I don't think its gingerbread related. The shift rom is 2.3.3. Try sending yourself a text but make sure you have the screen off or the box checked for screen on. Also cup your hands around the keys if its bright out as they are not bright. I have mine set to flash and thought it didn't work just now. Also have mine set to timeout after 1 hour.
I just tried it out on misfits speedy odex rom and it works ... thx for this!
Does this work on asop roms ?

This app has been un supported for a while. maybe one of the fine devs here could make that happen. I looked into reverse engineering last night but my eyes kinda glazed over. way over my head.

[Q]Notification led light

Does the skyrocket have a notification light for missed calls, SMS, etc...or itps there a way to get it working?
Sent via rooted SkyRocket
There's no notification LED on the device.
Just use NOLED from the Market or XDA.
Just tried noled, and it doesn't work...it also lagged the a$&% out of my phone...anyone else got this to work on the skyrocket?
Sent via rooted SkyRocket
when I had the OGSGS2 I also tried NoLED as well. It was a pain in the arse to work with.
it was only compatible with Widgetlocker and the Samsung's unlock screen always gave it trouble (double unlock). Go SMS Pro pop-up would over sees NoLED... etc..etc..
Essentially I was pretty fed up with trying to get everything to coexist.
The only other alternative is wait for a kernel with BLN support on the SkyRocket. Hopefully the source code will be release soon, then we can start working on compiling new kernels with new features
NoLed worked on my, i have I727 on Rogers, i think this is same phone as on ATT
What about the home, etc. buttons?
What about the light up "home", etc. buttons at the bottom? I'm actually annoyed that I can't see them at night when they're off.
Maybe someone could figure out how to control their lighting as a surrogate notification light.

I think this will do it for me ..
(TPC v3 rom, da_g kernel 0.43 and TPC's cpu script)
Cheers
Works.
