Is there a way to change framework from mdpi to hdpi? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hey.
Im working with a device that is using mdpi in the framework-res. I want to switch it over to hdpi.
Is there a way to do this, or is it purely screen dependant?
Thanks in advance.

Remove .jpg or .png from your wallpaper and put it in sdcard/MIUI/wallpaper/
Then choose it
This is only for HDPI can somebody port it on MDPI? please and thank you.

Just found it out by myself You don't need to remove .jpg or .png, just place it in the wallpaper folder

Yeah, this is only for HDPI.
Should mention in the first post or in the thread tittle.
Applied a theme and than couldnt unlock my phone anymore since the unlock button was somewhere where the phone couldn't show. Had to reboot it.
I think this would save a lot of time to people who are not on HDPI.
Agonn did you try any theme from Miui lockscreen thread? I have phone as you but can't test it right now... Look for the other milocker thread here and there's a link to theme thread.

where I can download .mtz file?
You can download mtz files from xda. There are many threads that offer miui lock screens. Just look in the themed thread

Amazed to say the least! Thanks a lot man.. always wanted this being a non-miui users.. kudos for sharing!
Perfect...
Yeah that's it...
Wonderful.
But one request, you know there is a small thing in lockscreen in MIUI, torch...
Long click in home key opens-up torch for quick access.
Could this be adaptable or not to non-MIUI roms?
it's work on mdpi, but the themes are only for hdpi

As I said, this is probably not good for MDPI phones.
It works but you can't use it since the themes are all for HDPI phones, and if you choose the wrong theme, you will have too reboot your phone in order to enter.

If you go to settings, it's clearly written that you can press back key + volume up to unlock if something goes wrong.

Any way to theme phones any more?

I've been trying to skin my phone and run into a problem I can't seem to theme where the navigation bar is Eg using uccw you can't place nothing or when using docks on launchers it places a rectangle that stops above nav bar. I know with lollipop there is no xposed framework

You decompile the apk packages, change what you want and recompile.

There is no need to decompile and recompile. You can just copy/paste same named png-s in .apk/res/drawable nodpi or drawable xxhdpi for our device. That works for all apps from factory image.

Recompilation is required to edit things like XML. Signing properly is also important.

Whith respecr dear Lethargy! You don't need to decompile and signing properly stock app. For example: if you want to change almost all of UI, you just have to change images in framework-res.apk. You don' t need to do things mentioned before. When I was on Xperia I made this way too UI look like AOSP as possible.
I think that for noob is enough to know that. But off course, if you are UI designer and developer that isn't enough.

For replacing a .png it might be okay, but in no way are you going to modify anything else that way. Recompiling is the PROPER way to do it.
So in short someone like me I'm out of luck

If your launcher supports it you can hide the navbar then attempt to use something like Zooper Widget to imitate them on the bottom, but other than that, you have to recompile SystemUI.apk.
Wouldn't I need it for when I'm in apps
