Can't send text on aokp b29

Hey all I need help. Can't seem to send texts. I can receive them but not send em. Anyone have the apn settings for at&t? I was flashing different modems and I think I screwed it up some how.

APN's don't have anything to do with regular text messages, only internet and MMS

OK well then what do I do? Does anyone have the original modem from aokp b29? I used the modems from the stickie modem thread and I honestly don't trust those zip files now.

Probably because you used the wrong one, don't blame others work because you don't know how to use it... They have all worked perfectly for me and many others...
Just flash an I9000 Modem that is for CM7/CM9/MIUI

Dude wasn't blaming someone else, get off the high horse. I'm asking for help. Obviously one of the modems I flashed was not for ics. I've used that thread for all my modems from 2.2 to 2.3 so i know its something I did. I've tried flashing other modems from there no success. I've wiped data and cache still nothing. I have no smsc number in the testing menu. So if your not willing to help just move on

just reflash AOKP without factory reset. back to normal.
or captivate > Development section > Modem Sticky > Captiave Modem website > ICS/CM9 MODEMS

I must have really screwed it good. Flashing aokp won't even change the base and to what's in the rom. I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and one back to jf6. Man I hate it when I do stupid things like this lol.

why would you go back to jf6? kk4 would be fine but that isnt needed either.
flash an ICS modem from where i told you. or CWM > wipe system > wipe data > install rom fresh. done.

Could be your SMSC. Had this happen when I accidentally updated it as a 0.
Get into phone info by *#*#4636#*#* and hit refresh to see what your SMSC is. Google what your provider's code is supposed to be and make sure it matches.

I was the smsc number. It got changed to zero for some reason. Than for both of your help I really appreciate it.

This site has modem downloads as well, and a link to a Google map to narrow down which may work better in your area.

The modem list is in no particular order, so you may have to scroll a bit to find what you're looking for.

Phone crashed tried to fix it, now no signal

Hi guys!
I'm a little new to all this Android stuff and tried to learn how to fix my phone but I've been reading around in circles now for two days and still can't make heads or tails out of it.
I've got a LG P920 Optimus 3D that has stopped working.
Now what happened is it froze like a it had before and didn't want to shut down when I held the power button so I took out the battery. When I turned it back on it got stuck at the LG logo right after the LG sound played.
I tried some sort of LG update but that didn't work then I tried a couple of things I found on different forums something to do with the LGflasing tool or something witch also didn't work (or at least I don't know what I'm doing) and at the end I was able to hold some vol+3d+power and got a recovery menu and wiped everything I could find.
Now the phone turns on fine and everything works except for the phone part. I don't get asked for a PIN and it just says "no network" with any SIM card.
Here's the data from my phone:
Country of purchise: Slovenia
Android v: 2.2.2
baseband v: L6260_modem_sic_01.1042.00
Kernel: 2.6.25.7
SW v: LGP920-V10K-SEP-17-2011
Can someone pleas help me and explain what I'd have to do to get this thing working again because currently I'm out of ideas and I have no idea where to start.
Can I do something on the phone to make it work or do I need to flash something and if so what and how. I'm really lost here and can't seem to make heads or tails out of all this.

Find here in xda forum in section for our phones "how to flash kdz file easer.." something like that.look in develop directory.i try to find exact link and will post.

I punched in *#06# and it just outputs IMEI and blank. I'm guessing there should be a number outputted. What would this mean?

You wont connect to network till you get IMEI back. This is baseband problem. Check your PM i will send you instructions what to flash and how to restore IMEI.

Yes success!
I was able to use the method in the link above to put a newer rom on the device and it seems to be working fine.
Thank you very much guys. This is all very new to me. I hope it doesn't crash again since I was scared that I lost all of my contacts but thankfully I had a backup.

Think you could send them to me as well? I too deleted the IMEI and the process found here dont work, the sofware tutty doesnt respond and cant flash with KDZ because the sofware fails, thanks in advance

You cant write IMEI with hyper terminal until your IMEI is that strange number. If you cant get it that way with smartflash tool (erase CP). Flash lg prada baseband that will do same thing. After that flash 21e baseband and restore imei with hyperterminal.
Edit: check if you got drivers instaled.

Unable connect to network on jellybean Roms

Hi all ,
I was using aeon Rom which runs on android 2.3.6 and it was smooth.
Recently I tried flashing JB Roms and experiencing the same problem with all of them.
I.e the phone can detect the network name but there is no signal and I can't make calls and so...
I tried with three diff networks and dIfferent roms too and all have same issue.
I am using infuse 4g in India.the networks I tried are Airtel , Docomo and Vodafone.

Check on settings - about - status and see if your imei is still there. You may have lost it when flashing jb.

Is this a common problem with i997s when flashing to jellybean directly from gb? I had hooked my moms phone because it ran like **** on gingerbread. I did lose the imei, i'm in the process of restoring it now

The problem is in the mtd conversion. It seems that for some reason the efs partition is lost during the process.

Ah I see, I'm not very familiar with this device. Only wanted to get CM10 up and running for her, which in the end I finally did after I restored the IMEI. I'm used to my wonderful i777 .

I had my LG optimus 3d updated to ICS.
Now alls works fine, Wifi, Blutooth ect.
The only thing I can not is call. I do not have access to the provider T-Mobile. Netherlands
Does anyone have a way to fix this so that I can do it again important.
If this is not possible I would like to go back to the original LG software. If that can at least!
I have seen that this has to do with the baseband. I can not find how I should fix it.

You have to flash it via flashtool, there is a tutorial in forum. Basebands are in forum too, try to search you will find it.

[Q] Phone Unknown after Stock ROM flash GT-N7100

HELP...!!!
Well, first timer to Custom ROM upgrades....I was looking through some threads, came across a particular ROM, found it very interesting..went ahead & flashed it...didnt work.
Reason: My Peanut brain failed to check the version of the Note2 it was meant for. My bad.
I didnt backup EFS. (my bad again, actualy i didnt knew I had to )
It override my existing Modem & took my Baseband & IMEI to unknown.
I look through whole night trying to undo what I did on XDA forum...did get quite some helpful links but nothing could solve mine.
The most common advise on the forum was to take it to the Samsung service centres & let them put the stock officla firmware.
Well, I took it to the service this morning, they put the stock 4.1.2 version..i was hoping that would solve my query.
To my dismay, the service guy told me that the Phone was showing as Unknown (screen shot 1) & that in that case the IMEI cannot be resolved.
One option he gave me was to pay up 8k (about 134 USD) to change the motherboard but honestly i dont have that much
Please advise....Is there any way i can resolve this.
I am on an Indian carrier GT-N7100

If u have nandroid backup of your stock rom then restore it..i think then your problem is solved ..
If thats not work then install galaxy toolbox app from play store and restore your imei..but i dont know that this app is work or not for n7100.

Is Phone:Unknown (screen shot 1) problem falling in the same category as IMEI & baseband unknown?
The service guy told me that in such a case as in phone Unknown, the IMEI cannot be resolved.(is that true?)
Every thread I look, there's only post on IMEI + baseband unknown or null, but nothing on Phone:Unknown.
