There have been allot of misunderstandings recently about where to post certain posts, and to ask certain questions. We are all here to help each other. Sometimes that help comes in the form of pointing you in the right direction. XDA member TRusselo has made several awesome and informative posts. If we will each just take the time to read these post we will save allot of space, time, and friendships.

Why you get short/one word answers! (The Long Answer) - This explains the reason you sometimes get answers you don't feel are complete or specific enough. The reason people say search, instead of just giving you the answer outright.
A Plead to the members of XDA, is a very well written plead for us all to just get along. (Which I totally agree with.)
I am begging each and every person to PLEASE read these post in their entirety. If we do, I really feel this can be a much friendlier place to hang out. We are all trying to accomplish the same thing. Just use common sense so that we don't frustrate the few people we have left here to help us. I am sorry if anyone takes offense to this. I just wish we could all be on the same page. There are some great, much smarter people here then me. I would really like to learn from them and not turn them off to helping us out.

Very much agreed. Only thing is the search feature does not work as well as people would like you to believe. Many times I don't even get anything close to what I'm searching for. Just throwing that out there, not to freak on people when they say they search and can't find nothing.

I can agree to this from experience, sometimes it doesnt give you any results to what your looking for. BUT maybe re-wording the search will help a little.

I am sorry.

Recently I was banned from XDA for a period of time that seemed forever. I didn't want that to happen. I didn't even get told why I was banned, but I am back now. I didn't want to leave you guys without updates so I had a friend post links to ROM updates for you guys.
I am sorry for my behavior on XDA. I wasn't trying to piss anyone off or get in trouble.

As a newcomer to these forums, I actually agree with op. It's very irritating to look for new and cool roms but find old ones bumped by a thousand thank you's. Really, what would be easier is if there was a separate column to sort by last edit date (by author).

That's very simple. Go to the first page of the rom and look to see when the post was last edited.

Rules are already published and we all have to respect them.
However as we all can see, making threads like this only causes nonsense arguments.
Please use the report button when you want a thread cleaned, or when you see a thread derailed from its original intention, that way, dev section will be cleaner, and I can easily spot trolls, I will warn them, infract them or even request a ban for them.
I am closing this thread before anyone gets hurt here

I just want to thank all the devs that helped make this phone awesome, however as fates would have it I got my hands on a sgsiii yesterday and I won't be spending as much time in this forum anymore. But if anyone wants me to guinea pig something with my sgs4g I won't be afraid to do it lol. But thanks again guys, everything I know about this stuff is because of this forum.

Lol job....sorry but I do get paid well but $380.00 before the $50.00 mail in rebait for a tiny bit bigger screened copy of the S2 is hardly worth the money.....my contract is up and I'm ready for the upgrade but I think I'll wait till they come up with a better deal.
Hmm like I wonder what they'll do us for on the 4th of July...... I'm in no hurry I like having the upperhand before I have to bend over for another 2 yrs lol...then when I feel they're offering me a good deal (in which they never really are) I'll bend over. :-/

Because the question was answered in the thread I linked. It also helps keep you from being called noob. In the xda rules it says search before posting. Had you attempted to search to see if there was a existing thread about using vibrant roms this would not have happened. It is that simple.

but please read stickies before posting anything. there is alot of information that will answer your question without asking anything.
also devices are very different and you cannot expect something from one phone to work on another phone, or if it does by some chance boot, not everything will work. this is why devices have different names, the are DIFFERENT.
