Hey, I am looking for a timer app that can be fully controlled with volume buttons without turning the screen on.
The hard way of doing this I think would be a combination of timer app and tasker. But maybe you have seen a dedicated app that can do this?
Thanks.

Hey. I'm looking for a volume control application that would basically let me control the volume of individual applications.
Reason I'm asking for this is due to the fact I use a GPS navigation application and Winamp at the same time while driving. I'd like Winamp's volume to be slightly lower than the navigation application so I can hear the given directions better. Thanks.
Hello, is there a way in which we can use Tasker to control to buttons backlight on some devices. For example, if I am in an app and I prefer the buttons backlight to be off in that app. How to do so? Thanks.
Hi all,
Quick question -
I upgraded to 5.0.1. yesterday, and now I can no longer use the volume rocker as a shortcut to switch between "no interrruptions (silent)" and ALL notifications. In other words I cannot use the volume rocker to adjust ring volume and or disable notifications for a period of hours.
The volume rocker only adjusts MEDIA volume now?
What is the quickest shortcut to adjust from ring volume and/or disable interruptions, without having to go into the settings, sound menu.
I'm sure there must be some shortcut.
thanks
Sorry. The shortcut is still there and works with volume rocker. I killed everything in my tasks view window, just dragged away about 20 different tasks. And now the volume rocker shows the options again.
It seems some app was holding the volume rocker as media volume only, even when the app was backgrounded.
When it happens again I'll remove the tasks one at a time to identify the app at fault.

Does anyone know of an app or other way to disable the physical volume buttons? My elderly mother keeps turning the volume down by how she holds the phone, and then she misses her calls. With anyone else I would tell them to turn the volume up, but her mind is going. So that doesn't really work in this situation.
Hi. You can try Button Mapper App on playstore. With it i disabbled Netflix button on my shield tv
