I'm seeing a bunch of Nexus one OEM batteries on Ebay going for between $12 and $30. The lower end of the price range are setting off my To-Good-To-Be-True sensors. Is there a counterfeiting issue with these batteries?
Nope. It works but it is definitely not as good as the original battery. I bought the package (battery and battery charger). Both works but charger takes pretty long to fully charge a battery (about 5 hours) and the battery does not last that long. I would say around 12 hours with decent usage.
But I got it just as a backup so its not bad at all for the price.
every single extended battery i've purchased has been exactly what was stated in auction.
my 2400Mah batteries for the g1's were as promised.
my current 2600Mah batteries for the N1 are as promised. syncing 4 email accounts, 3G(hspa), HD video recording, flash camera shots, and 2-3 hours surfing with flash = a solid day to possible day + 1/2.
as far as the normal capacity batteries, i really don't see the point in buying them. 4 hours and then a charge ? no good.
asthetics maybe ?

Exactly my personal experience too.
Just bought one from this person - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330476620397&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Will let you know how it goes
Free battery from HTC
Just call HTC they will send you a free replacement during your warranty period.
I went with an ebay seller, got a battery that only has about 60% capacity of the original. I then emailed the seller, and he refunded my money. I now have a free backup battery in case I ever need it for an emergency.

Thanks for the review. Might be something to check out for.
Just got mine today. From ioomobile. They've got it on sale for $17 + free shipping (on their website) or $19 from eBay.
See how it runs over the next few days. Usually get around 35 hours (light/minimal use) or so on miui 1.7.8 on stock battery.
I'll post back after a day or two and report if it's any better.

35 hours on miui, holy ****.
I had to go back to cm7 because miui drained 2xs as fast
Edit
I just bought one, I had great success with my extended momax batter but it was just too bulky for me

If you've got the battery drain on 1.7.8 here's the fix (install as a regular app and restart)
Hope it helps. Worked for me, had terrible drain before the fix.

I haven't really been able to get back into miui lately though.
Once the huge redesign hits (apparently this week) I will give it a go
this is a very good battery i have it for 2 weeks and it does now 3 days one darky jvp base rom with normal use
1e charge about 8 hours from full then drain thil empty
trie to start the phone untill its do nothing then charge phone when he is off for 8 hours then go to clockworkmod with charge cable attached and wipe battery statistics now start youre phone and wait until it says 100 % unplug it and use it till the phone shutdown and charge again 8 hours with the phone off untill 100% power up the phone and wait til 100% is given then youre battery statistics calibratit with the bigger capacity.

for a stock fit this would be the best, if you want a larger battery with back then I would recommend their 2700
I've received my 1700 momax battery last week and it's very good!
2 days with medium usage and CM7
Could someone pls do a real test? white screen, max brightness screen on time till shutdown compariaon would be great. everything else ia just not really compareable.
I've had my Momax 1700 mah battery for about 3 weeks now and it's performing well. I have a noticable increase in battery life, deffinitely more than a day, up to almost two days depending on usage.
I'm not a heavy user, main usage would be a few calls, internet and bit of video/movie viewing a day.
I'm on Juwe's 5.3 ROM with a Semaphore 1.5/1.6 kernel. Am also just trying the latest GalaxianGT kernel and seem to be getting similar battery life.
"1e charge about 8 hours from full then drain thil empty"
what do you mean? a full battery then charge it again 8 hours? or charge it with external device? i dont understand. the rest makes sense but this is....
Got this battery from ebay (ioomobile user). I have it in my possession for one week now. It went through 3 full charge/discharge patterns and the beefed capacity is getting noticeable now. I'm easily getting 2 days out of my phone (~36 hours) compared to ~24 I was getting with the one year old original battery. I'm actually using my phone daily for music - emails - web browsing having the display on for about 3 hours/day.
I highly recommend this battery nor necessarily to the recent SGS owners but more to the ones having these gadgets for about one year .
Hey guys,
i wanted to know if its around the same size as the original samsung battery?

Just ordered one from that seller, will write a short review when it arrives. Original battery after a year of moderate use is lasting 2 days for me with OC to 1,2GHz and UV.
hey there...
I think my battery is damaged. it's inflated and with paying HD game it last less than 2 hours. while when I bought my phone I could play 4-5 hours of HD games.
now, since where I live, there are lots of useless Chinese fake batteries, I want to know which one battery is good and how can I make sure that it's orginal.
thanks.
Order straight off samsungs website. If you want you can register your phone on the Samsung website and get emailed a 50% off up to 50$ discount so the battery and wall charger will be 25$

+1 to that! But you may also want to consider buying a cheap spare to carry with you in case you run out of juice sooner than you can get to a charger.
Also, be careful not to buy batteries that are manufactured more than a year ago. It is a known limitation of Lithium-Ion/Polimer based batteries (used in most phones/tablets these days) that their capacity diminishes over time. Even if they are not used, in a year or so they start to "go bad" and are almost completely crap after 2 years. You'll get maybe 70% of the rated capacity, and they won't hold the charge well at all. It's not a defect, just a downside of the technology. You can mitigate this by storing them at 40% charge in a cool place, but how many stores are actually going to do that?

I am not sure about that, but it is made for I9070 as I see. I never used it.
I use the 3500mAh battery. I am from India and bought it from ebay 45 days ago. So far the new battery is doing a decent job. It lasts over a day and half on extreme use. I primarily use my phone for web browsing, ROM flashing, gaming and video playback. [email protected] 1.1GHz and yet battery life is decent as mentioned above. There is no overheating. If you buy this, on your first run make sure you use the phone till 0% and then charge it upto 90-100%. The first time you charge do not use your phone(Unless emergency calls/SMS).
Ofcourse the phone looks ugly and fat. But if you wont mind looks and desire better juice opt for this.
Good Luck.

I have that battery, I think they are good to go man, don't worry. I use it when I'm at college and I want to use the phone the entire day. I can't complain, battery life with medium-high usage is about 30-40hours. Low-medium=2-3 days for me

I agree, I also have such.
Usually the quality of this batteries isn't so good... After 1-2 month of use they lose efficiency.
I recommend having 2 genuine samsung\aku batteries, replace it when needed.

as it is a product from china no one can assure the quality, but in my case the battery looks well build and well packed, and for the past 7 months it works like a charm :victory:
Just wondering if anyone has successfully replaced the tf700 battery and if so, how did they do it? Is there a guide or instruction manual.
I think my battery is borked, it has good standby but if I use it at all it only lasts maybe 2 hours
Thanks in advance
There's a fixit guide under:
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Asus+Transformer+Pad+Infinity+Battery+Replacement/53506
May this could help you.

Seriously - 2 hours????? That's terrible.
I just replaced my tf101 battery - successfully so feel a little bit more confident.
It is quoted as having a battery life of 9.5 hours
Mine is even worse, around 1.5 hrs from full charge. It used to hold for 4-5 hrs when tablet was new. @Theziggy can u share which battery you bought (link from ebay/amazon)? I see they do not go very cheap ..

Firstly I can not guarantee the quality of this battery as I haven't plucked up the courage to replace it yet. So buyer beware.
Anyhow THIS is the one I bought. Other batteries are available
This item isn't available in the requested quantity. It may have been purchased already, or the listing has expired.
It seems it is not available.
So I am beginning to notice that mine, even docked with the keyboard is only getting like 6 hours or so. I don't want to give this up so I am with the group of people looking to even upgrade the battery to a more efficient updated one..
Looking for a battery vendor recommendation
Can someone recommend a reputable TF700 battery vendor ? I'm ready to do it, but don't want the hassle I had a few months ago when trying to replace my Samsung Note10 battery... after sending two back I just replaced the original one.
TIA.
