Hey guys,
I've been trying to get hold of gangstar for a while, but every version I've tried hasn't worked as of yet. I've managed to get it installed and download the extra files, but when I press new game, it force closes.
As anyone else managed to get this working on the play at all?
I tweeted gameloft and they said they didnt have any plans to release it on the play so I'm going to have to try and find a working on for a different device.
Ive got it but its a bit laggy I used the galaxy S and desire Hd version the desire one was better but its not fun to play with lags

Its not warez, I got a copy from gameloft directly, its not worked so looking to see if there's a better version I can try on my play
Just to let you know, gameloft sent me the Desire HD version and it works near perfect, just a few judders and not as slick on as the desire, but still very playable and workable as there is not an official release in the works for it!
gameloft wont sell you any version apart from the one designed for your phone model, i know i have tried

No they didn't sell it to me, I've had a few issues with some games, so I complained - they offered a free game, but I own them all, so I asked for Gangstar MV and they agreed to give me that - I can post the email from them if needs be
plus you can buy the game from their site if you state that you have a different phone than the one you are buying from.

Slighly different with android, the game works fine, its just not optimized, meaning its slightly juddery and the play controls aren't working!
i've got the xperia neo version of gangstar miami vindication on my xperia play and it works perfectly

Yeq,but its been cracked / modded for other phones , its illegal to download it I believe and yea it won't be play optimised until they officially release it onto the market or onto the play , currently only available for the lg nitro HD

It's a 3 month exclusive to LG, so not long now, and it's not optimised as it stands, it still runs like **** on the phones it's supposed to work on.
It will also benefit with buttons to play with, not crappy touch screen gaming, so roll on the Play version.

i have downloaded it and installed on my play,, and yes, it is not optimized.

If the game will be a paid app on generic release, it's warez. If it's going to be free, its not i don't think.

Tried this game and dont think much of the android version buggy and too big sd file.
I would rather play the onlive version which is millon times better and has online vs instead of just bluetooth.
Or if have no internet accses would rather use tiger mame and run streetfighter alpha3 or streetfighter the third.

It can't be, the 3ds version is gold.(especially if you turn off 3d in the menu. Its smoother than butter)

The 3DS version is a 100% port of the arcade/console release. Graphics pretty much identical and 100% of the content and characters available and even more added.
The phone version is quite literally bollocks in comparison.

Managed to somehow run it... force closes after some punches and kicks..!!
Why would they give a touch pad phone exclusivity for so long... You need control pads to play street fighter... There is no way anyone can enjoy it on touchpad.

Finnaly got this game working only to find out it has a multi touch problem,( force closes if u hit a button twice in the space of 2 seconds) Same of different buttons :crying:.
Edit: Do you how to fix it ?

I've got the same issue and just after restoring my phone, and using the stock version of xperia play .69, and rooted, did you find out how to fix it please help if you know the solution as it works on my nexus 7, but not on the xperia play, im thinking it may be a ram, and processor issue, is it possible the game is too powerful for the xperia play.

I would not even bother mate. Get a Mame emulator and play the originals. I brought this for my own play and was able to play for a few weeks then got taken off market and i cant install (even TB) after changing Rom. So people which aint paid for it have no chance or very little. Tried contacting G-Gee Fu*ckers with no reply so next stop Google complaints. Have 1 last copy on My rooted Xperia S which is still running but when next FW comes i can kiss good bye to that as well.
Originally I bought mine fromgl g-gee directly through some build.prop hacks. Then bought it again from the android market and mine still plays just fine. Don't know why it was removed from the mRket but I have no issues playing. Maybe I will email g-gee and ask them what gives

No. I will not upload. Not because I want to be seen as a jerk but because uploading the titanium backup is basically pirating the game and it is against forum rules to share and or post copyrighted material.

Bought this yesterday, it is awesome. THe touchpads works so well and the graphics are bright and crisp and clean. Sat down to play it for a couple minutes, 45 minutes later I was like" oh crap". Really a fun game. And I cannot stress how nice the touchapds work, THe dev did a seriouslt good job with the programming for touchpads. I prefer this to Dungeon Hunter series.....

Mine is in English, did you get our from the PLAY store? I am aware there is another version for all android phones but its in Korean.

Not going to comment on the warez part, the game itself is 1.99 on the PLAY store and in my opinion is totally worth it. And not that its a big deal but currently this game is Xperia PLAY exclusive on the market. You want english and Xperia support I highly recommend supporting the developer of the game and buying it, it really is a fun game and @ 1.99 is a steal already (you see that....pun..)

Do you think you can do a gameplay video for it? I just want to see it physically running before I buy it. As it is I may buy it anyways, just want to be sure because I only have 6.85 on my prepaid card atm..and was thinking of getting an.rcon app for my admin duties for my gaming clan.

I do have the screencast app, I can use that to record what I am playing. But be advised that the screencast app makes anything you do on the phone look al ittle laggy. Trust me this game flies.... and with nice graphics to boot. IF people really want to see it let me know and I can do a quick video of it and post a link here. If others have played it please post your thoughts on it as well.
The game boots really fast. Surprisingly I didnt see any lag considering the high graphic and effects etc even if your phone is OC or not.
Imo the only missing feature right now is multiplayer.

I agree. Multiplayer would be awesome and is the only thing missing..
So i went back to gingerbread today and I have to say this is one of the best games to come out for some time. I was wondering why i was getting lag spikes and it installed on my sd, moved to phone,no lag at all and it only has a 1.3mb size!

I have just bought the game from the Play Store and have discovered that it does not work whilst being offline... I would like to know if there is some kind of hack that would allow me to play the game whilst I am offline? Such as zip file that I could extract to Titanium Backup and then hit Restore Data Only.
A fix to this would be great!
BTW I am not looking for warez here. Just a simple hack. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help! I am sure many other people are looking for this too!

I think the Wap Shop version (enter wapshop gameloft in your phone) has no online DRM , although i cant confirm this. Its also more expensive.
You could try using lucky patcher , although im not sure if it will work.
As for what you are asking ... google is your friend , obviously no one cant post link for suchs files here.

If I recall these have always been free. Problem is they are trial based for a certain time length. Its possible they are free for a limited time, as in full game. Ill check it out. But just a heads up on the possibility these could be time trial based.

Look at the link in the first post. And i have no idea why they are free but they are so why not just take advantage of it. Madden 12, mass effect, tiger woods PGA tour, NBA jam, and NFS most wanted are also some if the other cool games they have for free. Its ea's official website too so its not warez or anything but Im downloading all the games im interested in just in case it changes later

Not sure, maybe because its old. Or this is a one day free or maybe in a period of time. I remember when xplay is new they also give deadspace, bc2, sims and nfs hp..
But whatever the reason is.. Just get it.. Its free..

Just installed nfs hot pursuit. Does not show up in xperia game launcher. Going to say that these games may show up on the link above but are not for our devices gamepad. Same with dead space for me as well.

Maybe because your region? what country are you in? Mine I'd an r800x but its seen as an r800i because im using gin2jellybean and im in Egypt. Also you don't need to register I just went to the website and downloaded straight from there using one browser

FIFA 12 works with touchpads and buttons. Im currently downloading madden and nba Jam but haven't tested them yet but im pretty sure touchpads will work with the ones that are meant for it. Nfs hot pursuit doesn't have touchpad or game pad compatibility but if you try nfs mw you'll see that it does work with game pads. It deepens on the game. Ill report back after I test madden and nba jam

So I just loaded up nfs hp after it downloaded the files and it tells me I need to pay $2.99 for it.
Same with dead space. So these are not free... they just let you install the games before demanding payment. Sneaky EA.

FIFA 12 worked though I still haven't tried the others yet . Can anyone confirm if these games are free or not? Im getting confused lol. The files and game download dine but it doesn't let you play within paying? Said anyone else have this happen or were you able to play because im currently downloading lots of files. Should I just cancel them? If anyone has successfully played one of the free games please post. I know Danny xp played FIFA and it worked and I also did but that might be because I. Had an older version already installed and just installed that over it

I'm in the US, using r800at (at&t) with testpoint unlock BL running gin2gb 2.4.0 and lupusv10 720p. I'm not sure whats wrong.

Read a couple posts back and you'll see they're only demos you only get to play them once so you might not want to download them anyways sorry
