Help!!! I'm stuck on a reboot loop with miui on my infuse - Samsung Infuse 4G

I was stupid enough to try miui from rom manager for samsung s i9000 on my infuse It keeps rebooting but it just go to the Samsung screen for a second and turn off and on. any idea how to break the loop and boot to recovery. I tried adb commands on pc but it reboots too fast for the pcbto reconize the phone

Take the battery out, hold down volume +/- at the same time plug into computer via usb with odin open. That should work.

Ok I'm new to these abbreviations. What does "odin" mean? Because all I get is the Adroid Robot logo shoveling something while it says downloading do not turn off target and that has been running for about 30 minutes (more or less). Am I do ing something wrong?

Lol.

Odin is a program you can get in the.dev section created by gtg. Its for boot loops. The shoveling Droid Guy is the download mode which you need to have running for Odin to wipe yyour phone and start fresh rom wise.

Odin' isn't created by gtg - it's created by Samsung. Gtg has created a set of "unbrick" packages that use odin to flash a phone.

You are likely going to have to flash stock using odin. axura has a
Lagfix installed. It was a mistake to try what you did

There well not be issues after flash
Open odin, battery out, sim and external sd out, battery in back cover on, volume up and down while plugging on usb. Should be in download.
As far as roms we can talk once you get to stock

It should not stick on file analysis for long. You may h ave to pull battery and start over
Do you have correct usb drivers

I was replacing the stock recovery file with Krylon's Modded Recovery Binary.
I deleted the stock recovery file in /system/bin (copyed it to external sd) after pasteing the Modded Recovery Binary in /system/bin.
I had the CWM 3 file already copied to my external sd card
I turned off my phone to reboot it and the phone is now stuck on the black screen with the white Samsung Galaxy S 4g logo. All my soft keys are lit up too.
Is my phone bricked? How do i get into download mode? What can i do to fix this?

Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G using XDA Premium App
You have a soft brick. This should be fixable getting into DOWNLOAD MODE and using ODIN. Do a few searches for both. A JIG may be necessary to obtain download mode as well. Search all topics I have listed in all CAPS and you should be good to go! PM me if you have any questions...
same thing happened to me, all I did was I downloaded whitehawkx KD1 kernel which is perfect because your phone will already be rooted and has the file so you could put CWM3, after you download it get into download mode and flash with odin, if you need any more help please let me know

I'm very noob but there are people who will help you on here for sure.
I had a "soft brick". Phone stuck on Samsung galaxy s 4g splash screen with my soft keys lit up too. I searched and read in this forum. I went to our 4g development section and found a post called Noobs guide to Odin.
From that post I downloaded the samsung drivers I needed for the pc I was using (32 bit in my case), downloaded Odin 1.7 and then downloaded krylon360 stock/root rom.
I ran Odin, got my phone into download mode and then flashed the rom with no problems.
I'm new and in work so can't be too much help. Everything you need to know has been talked about on our forum. People will help you. Good luck!...
Maybe you should post your own topic in this GENERAL section to let people know you are bricked. Put I'm bricked in the subject line. A fresh topic might get peoples attention faster. Like I said I'm new.

It may not say it's in download mode. If you still see the computer icon, it's in download mode. The heimedall may be the best route for this issue. Just flash and you'll see the status bar and the rest details of what it's doing? I no need to worry about getting in flash mode. Just make sure you have the drivers installed.

[Recovery] one click nvflasher for cwm touch 5.8.1.3

Credit to kairi_zeroblade
Instructions on HOW to install cwm touch(For Windows)
- Once you have downloaded the Package from the link below.extract it to a Folder..
- Inside the folder all you have to do is look for the "flash-recovery_xp.bat file"..
- now turn your G2x OFF..
- remove the BATTERY and make sure your G2x is not connected to the PC via USB
- Press the VOLUME DOWN button together with the VOLUME UP..
- now CONNECT the USB Cable..
- If by all means Windows prompts for a new DEVICE you have to install the APX drivers below (extract the package and manually install it from device manager).
- Else if windows does not prompt OR you are already done installing the APX drivers you can now proceed on Running the "flash-recovery_xp.bat" by double clicking it..
- Choose 1 and Then press Enter..Wait for a few seconds till it prompts you that the FLASH was successful. wait another 5 more seconds after the prompt for not to have issues..
- After that Reboot into CWM by Pressing Power Button together with VOLUME DOWN til you see the LG Logo with waves..upon seeing that now release the buttons and wait for the CWM menu..
I am not liable if you brick your phone even there is a method to unbrick your phone
Thanks but this has been posted a few times already.
All you do is download the new recovery rename it to one of the recoveries in the nv folder and flash.

Yeah, I've posted this twice days ago. I don't see any thanks. I've learned not to start a new thread unless it I know for certain it hasn't been posted before. Also, I had nothing to do with this recovery, so I didn't want to take other's work. Take your flaming, think of it as a rite of passage. Guide worked great and I like CWM Touch. You should add in the step saying "Hold Volume Up and Volume Down then plug USB cable in" that you will not see anything on your phone's screen. You have to hold the two volume keys while launching the .bat file, and then you will see the S/W Upgrade screen once it starts the process. Thanks to both Kairi and Navy, no need to go hostile over who did what. You both posted helpful guides.

[Q] Semi-Brick due to borked root...

Greetings ladies and gents,
I have a bit of an issue with a co-workers phone. It seems that he attempted to root his Blaze and completely screwed it up. You see, I'm from HTC land and have never rooted a "Sammy" before. I have no issue with those devices but my friend is a bit "special" and has trouble boiling water if you gave him the instructions.
What I know:
He told me that all he d/l'd was ODIN and the USB drivers and nothing else. Once he connected his phone via USB his problems started. (I really don't believe ANY of this...But I digress)
Now his phone only does 2 things... 1. It will attempt to boot and never completes. You get the BLAZE 4G exclusive to TMobile splash and the progress bar an freezes shortly after. 2. I can trick the phone into the stock recovery with a bit of prodding.
Other than that, nothing but the battery screen showing it charging.
I'm trying to help the guy get rooted, so can someone lead me to a bit of help?
Thanks in advance...:silly:
Can you access download mode?
Its vol up + vol down then power. While connecting the USB to computer.
Once you see the white Samsung logo flash, release the power.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T769 using Tapatalk
Not at all unfortunately. I've tried the Vol +/- & power key presses but the phone will just vibrate in 1-2 second intervals until I release. Nothing else.
Once the phone attempts to boot...then freezes, my PC will detect it in Odin (w/ COM 3)
You got to time it right. Let go of power then wait 10 seconds and let go of everything.
This is necessary

I can't stress it enough, make sure repartition isn't checked.

There isn't really a "best" ROM. But cyanogen mod is a great start, I used their new installer and its works. Don't worry when its says that the device is a Galaxy S 2, its a little bug, but you still get cyanogen mod for the Blaze. If your friend likes cyanogen mod and wants more customisability, he should try the other ROM on the forum. I hope that helped!
