Before I rooted my inspire 4G and install Revolution 5.1.10 Rom, there was no problem of connecting my phone with my Garmin 1490T GPS. However, now I could not do it. When GPS shows connecting ping, the phone has no response. (it used to pop up a message box and let you input connecting ping). Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I use my XDA II with TomTom navigator the GPS unit connects directly to the XDA using the standard connector, both the XDA & GPS receiver are powered by the 12V cigar lighter.
I'm not sure what causes this but sometimes when I try and connect to the internet via GPSR whilst connected the GPS I receive an unkown connection error, and there is no way of connecting unless I perfrom a soft reset. When I attach the GPS unit I get a dialog saying it is trying to connect to something (so for be so vage)
What I suspect the problem to be is the XDA getting confused when connecting to the GPS unit and thinking it is a modem or there is a conflict between the two.
IF I do a reset both the GPRS connection & GPS work perfectly, also this does not happen alll the time.
Has anyone else experienced this, or know whats causing it?
Cheers
I'm having trouble with maintaining a wifi connection on my Android phone, HTC Desire HD running Froyo.
My phone had no problem until today when I installed a set of different applications and games using internet path-through. Now, after enabling the wifi connection, the adapter try to find the wireless router and then obtain an ip address and then the wifi icon is appear for a second in the status bar and then disconnect!
On the other hand, when I'm going to connect the phone to my PC, It's tried to install "RNDIS" and "ADB" and finally it can not connect to the sync application while I had no problem yesterday!

Anyone know how to get bluetooth PAN onto the sensation. I'm trying to share my MBP's internet connection through the bluetooth PAN. I already got it working through airport but i don't want others to see my connection. Yes it will be slower but i'd rather have that then to have my SSID broadcasting.
HTC sense Bluetooth stack is weird and doesn't work for many things. If your using the stock wifi hotspot app then while your in the settings page, press the menu button and click advance. There you can turn off ssid broadcasting.
I got bluetooth PAN working on a cyangenmod 6.0 using a different phone. Of course this version of the app was different back when I ran it. I haven't tried it recently on my htc sensation so it may or may not work for you. I should mention you need a rooted phone. Just stick with wifi since it works well.

Hey Guys,
i have a problem with my Samsung Omnia 7.
When my phone ist running and i want to activate bluetooth, the screen displays "searching" (in german "Suchen"). My phone wont find a device which is in the near and where i know, that i can connect normally.
I know that, because, when i turn bluetooth on and restart my phone, then after restart, i will find all the bluetooth devices in the near and i can connect for example with my laptop and play music from my phone on the laptop or hear the voice when im calling with someone.
But when i turn bluetooth off and after this on again, there is only the screen which diplasy "searching".
My bluetooth works only if after i turn bluetooth on before i restart my phone.
Sorry for my bad english , i hope you understand my problem.
Is there anybody with a same problem or anybody who can help me?
The HD2 has similiar problems with bluetooth and wifi together. However I'm not an Omnia 7 user.
Anyway, you can ask it in the Omnia 7 forum (which would be the correct one) or even better: Use the search tool and browse all existing bluetooth problems thread to see if someone has found a solution (There are plenty of it...). Thanks
thanks for your advice. after u told about the problem with bluetooth and wifi togehter, i just tested what happens if i activate wifi and bluetooth togehter and i was suprised to see that my bluetooth works. i can avtivate and deactivate and it just works in connection when wifi is "on". if i turn wifi off, bluetooth wont work anymore...
but thanks, so i have a workaround and can use it, i will search in thread with same problems, thanks!
