[Q] UMA - HTC Desire S

This is a real bonus for me, On Orange the Desire S has UMA, I don't see it advertised on other non Orange handsets, so is this feature excluse to Orange, and if I debranded the phone I take it I would loose UMA?

I read on Tmobile forum that Orange is the only operator to support this at the moment.

O2 Graphite

Picked up the O2 Graphite from Thailand over the weekend. Would it be possible to create a new forum for the phone ? Will post a little mini review of the phone
O2 graphite is an Asus.. we have great discrimination on non-HTC devices or else, the site may have been flooded with devices from HP, Asus, Treo.. although we have an exception of the Atom.
BTW I think there are folks who are looking at P525 cooked ROMs, etc on the forums. Not a problem. Just wanted to inform people about the new smartphone phone - its pretty a solid offering and beats the Breeze - but like most Windows devices, its not without it own oddities. Thanks
Someone knows if the 3G function will work in Israel (Orange Network)?
I think the Graphite is working on 2100 mHz, right? Whats it in Israel?
Orange Israel rep. told me they don't hand 3g sim cards to be installed in phones they do not market. You don't actually have to buy the phone from them it just has to be a model they work with. And since they don't sell any windows mobile smartphones they wouldn't give me a 3g sim card :-(

Xperia, Raphael and Vodafone ROM

Hi Everyone
I'm considering one of the above handsets and currently use Vodafone in the UK.
As you will know, the company messes with the ROM on its handsets - company branding etc... but also removes some applications.
Is it possible to return the handset to it's native ROM / default settings or should I resign myself to buying an original sim free handset
I have a vodafone htc touch pro and apart from the branding (which I don't really mind as at least it isn't magenta...), I can't see any negative changes they have made to the phone. The internet sharing, msn etc (the candidates for removal) are there and work just fine.

HTC TyTN II (Kaiser) 3g on Tmobile US network

Hi all,
Can anyone confirm that the Kaiser can fully utilize 3g data on the TMobile US 3g network? I have seen several (old) articles that pre-date the release of the Kaiser saying it may be the 'first 3g windows mobile phone available'. I have the opportunity to get an AT&T tilt from someone I know, but before I go through the process of unlocking the sim and flashing the ROM I'd like to know if it is worth my while. I've been waiting for the pharos traveler 137 to be released for a few months now but I know that Tmobile has no interest in carrying it ( I talked to a few service reps, and they just play dumb and say they've never heard of pharos or a 3g capable WM phone). So without the plan upgrade discount the phone is going to be $600, all for the luxury of using the 3g network on a phone that actually supports msexchange email.
between aardvark ( company developing ms direct push app for android), the pharos smartphone, and getting info on this TyTn II i feel like I've been doing a whole lot of waiting for a phone that has what I feel are two very basic features nowadays on other networks
Comments appreciated,

Works Good Dude!! i'm in CT, in USA and have used a kaiser with my tmobile sim, works faster
unfortunately, you get Edge only. Few PPC's have tmob 3G off the wall 1700/2100 mhz radio combo. The G1 has it, and maybe a few other New PPC's.

HD2 -v- Bravo?

Orange are the only UK sevice provider NOT to offer the HD2; having been with Orange for several years (currently use Diamond Touch & Ty Tn II on my 2 contracts) would prefer to stay with them
Orange are claiming that they are not offering the HD2 because the Bravo offers Android and 'other benefits'
From my research it appears that the Bravo will have a smaller screen - does anyone know of any actual benefit?
Should I leave Orange for an XD2 or wait for Orange to launch Bravo?
TIA
Peter
