Nvflash clockwork recovery question - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hello I'm new to the g2x scene (came from the G1). I was wondering if I flashed the clockwork recovery and continue using stock rom. Once the update is released will I still get it through OTA?
Thanks!

Yes you will. However, once you install the OTA you will lose root

Just want to second CM7's stability. I've been using it since #54 as my primary rom and its been very stable and reliable.

[Q] Making the jump??

Ok I'm not a noob when it comes to flashing ROM's or using Odin to restore my Mesmerize at all. And i have been running the "unofficial" "ofiicial" Ec10 Froyo on my Mesmerize for a few weeks now. I have the Combo ROM installed with Voodoo installed. I want to know..is the new superclean ROM worth making the jump for or should i stay with the Combo ROM??
Only you can decide that. Personally, I am a big fan of the touchwiz launcher, so I will stick to touchwiz based roms.
If you are a fan of the AOSP (or any other) launcher, then I'd say your best bet is to make a backup and give it a try. If it turns out you like the combo better, it only takes about 15 minutes to revert.
Ok thanks..with the superclean ROM, is it completely AOSP? Or does it only have the launcher??

I'm pretty sure that it's just the launcher with some screen lock mods thrown in there. Not 100% sure on that though.
Thanks you guys..anyone else interested in this 'April Fools" release

Hey guys.
Don't feed the trolls, k?
I'm still anxiously waiting for the release..

I dunno... it's preeeeettttyyy quiet over there.
If it's HALF as revolutionary as it was sold... and it actually exists and he actually shares it... you'll be sure to hear about it across all of these Mesmerize forums, I'm sure.

Dual boot

So the inc just got dual boot today - check it out on the inc dev forums. I hope we get it soon as well. Love sense 2.0 and CM7 both - will be like being hugh hefner with a pipe and playmates on either side in bed once cm7 does get to us
Omg this would be amazing i hope so!

You would be able to have CyanogenMod running and reboot to a sense rom. Without having to re flash.

I guess you can also use second boot sector for testing out different roms.
This would be great for someone like me that likes to experiment test out different roms.

I was looking to do this...
What are some good sizes for a medium amount of apps?
Probably around 500mb's. Mine's 1GB but I'm only using about half of it. I just wanted the extra room in case I install more apps. So far it's working stable and fast.

Has anyone tried the OMFGB rom for G2X yet?

They have built three nightlies of this ROM. Development got halted but dev says they are going to get back on it soon. Says anything posted on website should be ok to flash. It looks interesting and I might give it a go as the first custom rom I try on my stock rooted GB G2X. If anyone has experience with this rom please reply to this thread.
Here is link to nightlies downloads.
http://r2doesinc.bitsurge.net/nightlies/p999/
I now some of you guys will flash anything and everything you can get your hands on so enjoy. You might not have known about this one.
I tried this one a while back when they first announced it. Its pretty cool. God mode is awesome and the launcher is smooth. Its cm7 based so you have all the customizing and access to the theme engine. It was stable for me but the only reason I didn't stuck with it was because of the hault in development for it.
