Bluetooth settings

Hi guys need some advice from people.
I used to be able to connect to my itech bluetooth automatically once i "on" my bluetooth connection previously with Sony k800i.
However;
I have always to "ON" bluetooth-> follow by "Set as Wireless Stero" in order paired the both devices(HTC raphael) together.
Is there any other way or suggestions to resolve this minor issue?

Bluetooth issue

Hi ppl,
I'm having issues with bluetooth on mytouch4g phone.
To connect it to hands free set I have to every time turn off and then turn on bluetooth on my phone.
Anyone have similar issue?
Is there a setting somewhere to set default device?

Do you mean "Hands free mode" or do you mean pairing a stereo BT headset?
With the stock OS -- "Hands free mode" can be set by either 1) starting the Car Dock application, or 2) Using the BT headset phone button or the Genius button to enable speech commands, and saying "Hands Free On" once the phone is ready.
With the stock OS -- pairing of the phone occurs automatically whether the phone or headset is powered up first. Pairing of media (for stereo headsets) will only occur automatically with any degree of regularity -- from experimentation and observation by others, reported on forums like this -- if the phone's BT is powered up =after= the headset. One can manually disable and enable media connectivity after long pressing on the device in the BT settings window, and that will establish the media connection -- but it is probably easier to have a BT power toggle on your home page somewhere.
If neither of these answers the question you were asking, please rephrase it. And of course, for a custom ROM (non-stock OS), ask in the appropriate ROM's thread in the development subforum.

I mean bluetooth at car. I'm able to pair my phone with car and connect with no issues.
If I get into the car with my phone and bt on - it will not establish connection. I have to turn off bt on the phone and turn it back on. Then it will establish connection. It works fine with my old Fuze.

i have the same exact problem except i can't use any of the bt features on my car.

[Q] Android-to-Android Bluetooth Profiles

Hi everyone,
I am an owner of the GSIII I747M and the ASUS Transformer, both running ICS. I recently had this idea (fantasy?) where I mount the Transformer in my car, hook it up to the car speakers and basically use it as my in-car infotainment system instead of the headunit that's in there. Nothing wrong with my in-car headunit (except the fact that I can't get bluetooth to work with my GSIII), but the tablet will give me tons more features. When I enter the car, I want the tablet to automatically tether to my phone via wi-fi and via bluetooth. Wi-fi is for internet access and it works just fine. The bluetooth is for the hands-free profile, so that when I receive a call, the music/navigation/whatever gets interrupted and I can take the call. I also want to be able to dial from the tablet.
When I connect the two devices via bluetooth, I don't have a hands-free profile; indeed I have no useful profiles at all. My question is simple: is there an app for that? Any suggestions? Has anyone done this? Thanks!

TabletTalk will let you answer/make calls on your tablet so long as it's pair to your phone and you're on a bt headset. It also handle your phone's SMS.
AutoTether can automatically tether your tablet to your phone hotspot.

Thanks, but that's not quite what I was like for. I won't be texting and driving, even on a tablet. I'm looking to use my tablet as a BT headset. I can pipe my output to the car's speakers and the tablet has a mic, so I can use it to talk on the phone while driving. Is there an app that can do that?

I'm looking to do the same thing... Maybe it's time to learn how to code for Android. I've done some interfacing with BT at the driver level before but it was back before BT even officially came out, so there was not a Handsfree Profile ;-)

I couldn't find an app or anything that does this, so I think I'm SOL until someone makes an app with this capability.

Bluetooth management

I never really bothered to thing about this until recently, but I personally have three ways I use bluetooth.
1) My car, when I get in my car I want my phone to connect to bluetooth
2) My headphones, when I turn on my headphones I want my phone to connect to bluetooth
3) My home stereo, I only want this connection to happen when I initiate it
Is there anyway to manage bluetooth connections per device like this in Android? As it stands my only thought is to have my home Tasker profile disable bluetooth, but that's a hacky workaround and I'm hoping something better exists (also something that doesn't require tasker so I can make it work on my wife's phone too).

Trigger app should do the trick. You can create profiles for each BT connection.

Question Bluetooth

Hi, just switched from Android to IPhone and I am having problems with connecting by Bluetooth to the head unit. Has anyone found a solution for forcing the headunit to attempt a connection? I can manually connect from phone without issues or through the headunit Bluetooth interface.

Found a solution by using tasker auto input plugin. Tasker at boot up first opens Bluetooth settings shortcut (not the Bluetooth app) and clicks on the iPhone for connection. Not the most elegant solution but at least it works.
