[App] Gravity Home (LWP+Launcher+Physics) - Android Apps and Games

Hi,
We have been working in an experimental app and we whould like to share with this community.
The application is a Live Wallpaper where you can chose some of your installed app icons to be shown in the live wallpaper, hanging arround with physics. The icons will behave as launcher for their respective apps.
In the configuration you can limit the apps movement to only one of your desktops, the center screen.
Any feedback will be apreciated, we will be working on this app adding new features and solving issues if needed.
You can find it on android market, its free and the name is Gravity Home

Really fun just installed it. Great work, thanks for sharing!
================= [edit] =================
Feature request:
I had the standard setting icons for bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and Auto-sync previously. it would be nice if these also were available in the list of apps.
Bug:
The people icon doesn't open my address book when I press on it.
I've used it on the following phone:
Device: HTC Desire Z
Version: 2.2.1 stock

Hi,
The gps/wifi/data widgets and maybe more are in our future plans
About the problem launching the address book, it has an easy solution, we had already fixed the camera , will be the same, probably on next update this week it will be solved
Thanks for the bug report and the feature request!

Will try it .......Maybe it might turn out to be a huge hit.........Anywhos nice concept!!!!!!!!!!

this looks amazing
keep the good work ongoing!

It doesn't look amazing, IT IS AMAZING !
So far so good, will report anything.
Thanks for this lovely thing

I just installed this to try it out and went straight to the settings to see if I could add some apps. I waited for the list to load then something strange happened. The screen froze with a few black lines across it and started getting brighter and brighter like the system was increasing the brightness above the limits or something. Sounds strange I know. I quickly got the cover off and removed the battery, phone is fine now but just before I removed the battery I noticed the usually pitch black background was now light grey! I've now uninstalled and I'm on Darky's ROM 9.5 with the Darky Core 1.4 Kernel. Modem is JVE.

I love it but i wish it worked properly on the EVO 3D, when you go to add apps it just constantly says loading and never loads any of the apps to show on the screen.

Very original and innovative concept. I absolutely love it. The icons move around clean and doesnt appear to bog the phone down to much.
Issue: on vibrant rom kb5 (Stock + rooted myself).
I have 4 screens (which highest is always the real "home" screen). Icons wont show up at all if I dont limit to 1 screen in the options.
If I limit to 1 screen, it shows up on screen 3 instead of screen 4.

Bloody amazing. Words fail me. Glad I have a Mugen barry in my Nexus though!

Amazing ! I love it.
I'd love to be able to shake my phone and have the icons get shuffled, would that be possible ?

Very cool! Great work!

Like the others, excellent!
Work like a charm on my i9003
Have you plan to add more settings? Like speed or bounce force?

always force close
motorola defy
cm7 rc1
android 2.3.4

Trying this on my HTC Sensation and its friggin sweeeeeeet. I loved the falling androids lwp but gave it up a while back but I loved the concept. This went to the next level. It's actually has function than just the looks!
Is it possible to add a custom wallpaper in the background? If its already there I didn't see it in the settings.
+1 to you OP!

Looks sexy, I'm looking forward to it

I can't find it in the market it said not compatable with my i5800 can u give me the apk or something to try?

Very original and very nice. I like it because it doesn't bog the phone down and is visually appealing to look at. No errors or problems what so ever on Nexus S running stock 2.3.4

I like this app. It looks great and works well. I have two suggestions:
1. In settings let me change it from a black background to a picture of my choice. I normally use a static image, but would use your app if I would put a static image behind it.
2. Let me choose which home screen the icons are on.

Removed probably becoz of this.
Gmail counter displays wrong (1 when I have no emails), kinda laggy. But have potential, I'm gonna look forward for new versions!
hey Moonwalker1432:
Thank you. But what can u tell me your phone model and OS version?I just have been tested it only on Nexus one and I9000.
Nice Idea.
Just installed it and had a play.
Feedback:
I really like the cube effect. It's super smooth. Only thing that a bit strange is that the cube is made up of a grey tint cube and not the wallpaper.
It would be really cool if you could 'wrap' the wallpaper around every face of the cube so you see a different screen each time you flip. Or have the option to choose a wallpaper for every face of the cube.
Be good to have a Master wallpaper which appears behind everything and then as above for the cube etc..
It has a little trouble skipping transition midway through, so if you flip before the screen has finished it's transition, the animation to the next screen it jerky.
When going from Helicopter view to the selected screen, you get this elastic bounce of the grey tint, I don;t think that need to be there at all tbh, makes it look like it's doing something it shouldn't be.
When I selected Fly in/out for the app draw it threw a wobbly and went to black screen. with that setting set it seem to do all sorts of wired things.
Also when I selected fad in/out it kept taking me back to the app draw, stuck in a loop.
Hope feedback helps:
On a Galaxy S.
Nice to see a home screen with more animations, makes the phone look special, keep up the good work.
Logicalstep
I can't figure out how to get to the cube effect. I think its supposed to happen when I click apps on the dock. If so then it didn't work on an evo, an epic, or a nook color.
@Buff McBigstuff
It's desktop animations like ADW EX
So far it's potential but still a few things that could be changed... Gmail counter is a definite must No new emails and I've still got 4 unread even if under gmail I have non unread the animations could be used a little nicer having the option to set something instead of grey would be great
Hey
This needs a lot of improvement.
The idea is very good and has potential to be a great launcher.
It seems that when I have the App Drawer set to scale that it runs into an error. I open it up, and when I press home it jumps to the homescreen and back to app drawer. The only thing I found to get out off that loop is Force Stop or reboot.
The Gmail counter is off also, showing 8 when I had zero.
Other than that I really like. Your 3D wallpapers are really cool too.
Should this work on my rooted G1?
What are the requirements?
I really like how you can change the background of the apps so it looks like the touchwiz UI and how you can change the animations when you change screens like in GDE.
The whole launcher feels very smooth.
I noticed one bug. If you change the desktop animation to cube and then scroll around the pages it always changes the wallpaper back to this wallpaper.
Other than that one bug I don't think there are any.
You should probably make users be able to change the icons in the dock and/or change the background of the dock and the icons for the app shortcuts in the dock.
Great app so far,

Same bug here. Felt a little laggy compared to my current launcher (ZEAM).
Will keep on the device and continue to test as I like the idea of the cube transition animation.
Uninstalled and will never reinstall
I though your app had promise right up until it changed my desktop picture, to the ugle grey textured background. I will never...NEVER reinstall this app or any other of your apps. If you can not prevent it from doing something basic like that, you should not be developing Android apps.

[Theme]ThunderV2 for Liberty

This is a theme that I created because i really like sense so when the thunderbolt dump came out, i wanted to make a theme. It is still a work in progress but due to some requests, i decided to release it. It is almost fully themed.
Fixed-
Fixed the background so the white background and text wouldn't blend in.
Themed-
-Framework completely themed with as much sense i could get
-Couple Framework Tweaks( was able to get main sense wallpaper as an option in case changed and wanted to get back. Tried to import all wallpapers but this is my first try at coding so it keep bootlooping me.)
-Thunderbolt boot animation replaces original Wanted to be as close to thunderbolt as possible so anded this in it. Comes with sound
-switched 3g icons to 4g just for fun
-Launcher2( Just switched icons. Trying to get the dock from sense but cant find out how.)
-Browser
-Lock screen music control- ( not part of sense but i like the red so i inserted them)
More To be themed but wanted to get this out there. I would have a little bit more but kept getting stuck in the bootloop trying to insert wallpapers.

Working very well! It would be really sweet if the launcher could work on the dx.

After a couple boots it should stop being laggy and can u explain hhow its hard to read the only thing I can find it kind of hard is the liberty 1.0 and can someone tell me if you can see the pictures because I'm having issues with that on Droid x forums

I need to know something. I got the sense launcher to work but when you click it, it only goes to apps even though phone and browser are still there. Heres my question, are you guys ok with that or just leave it out because i have tried everything and unless someone wants to point to a themed launcher 2 or adw that works let me phone the other one above works but the things pop up on screen like the phone i con shows on top of the phone part. So leave your feedback

I'm fine without it. Is the status bar pulldown all white in the dump? I'm just curious. I changed my pulldown to my liking.
AWESOME THEME btw.
yes it is white and the launcher isnt that bad, it looks the same but all the layers are overlaping so it is just picking the apps drwaer but it opens up fast if you need to get phone
any screenies that show up?

The colors on the pulldown bar that say Liberty v1.0 kinda need to be changed. Its nothing major. Otherwise the theme is above all.

I'm also curious if there are any updates coming. I do love this theme.
Can this be ported to liberty 1.5?
Can we get a Sense UI looking launcher? How about the leap feature?
I also can't see pictures so its not just u

Awesome Theme
I have been looking for a Sense theme for my DX, this is great, good work. I look forward to updates!
(The one thing I don't like, and this is my opinion, is the 3G switched with the 4G, its not 4G, every time I look at it, I get a glimpse of hope, then its taken away 'cause I remember I am on my DX....)
One issue I am having now, is that whenever I go into settings menu, and chose "Liberty Settings," it force closes on me and tells me that (process com.android.settings) has stopped working. However, it is only the Liberty settings, all other settings work fine and I have access too, and it happens as soon as I touch "Liberty Settings."

Widget locker...any good?

Hi,
Has anyone been using this app on the Nexus S?
I only came across it after I saw the multiple icons on the lockscreen on one of the advertised themes.
Reviews on other sites suggest that there is a lag issue and other errors...none of them seem to be on the Nexus S.
Comments please.....
Im after the same answer, I saw it being used on the home screen post and it looked very good.
I want to start doing some customisazion of my own.

You can add up to 10 shortcut keys on the unlock screen. So, top left corner is camera, top right camera is LED flashlight, left middle is notes, right middle is google voice, bottom left is unlock andd buttom right is to silence it.
Oh and you can add widgets on the screen so i added a calendar widget.
I love this app and its really worth the money, being able to access some of these apps right from the screen is real convinient, especially the camera and flash light.
The only issue i've run into is that if you turn it on and off real quick, it will show the stock slide to ulock screen, and sometimes it will go back to the original slide to unlock screen, at this point you would just click on widget locker again to start it up.
Overall great app!
Better yet I'll post a video to give you an idea

That's the one.
Also, it is a known issue that this app will not work along side NoLed.
Heres a vid of the app.
http://s976.photobucket.com/albums/ae249/Garcia650/?action=view&current=2011-02-01_02-34-24_880.mp4
Also, if you notice in the vid, when I turn it on from sleep mode, it shows the stock slider, thats because turn it off and on within 3-5 seconds, it will show the stock slider.
Cheers for that i'm sold.
Just downloaded it.
Awesome!
Thanks a lot. Just downloaded it.

I would recommend widgetlocker. One of my favorite android apps

Widgetlocker is like quickdesk not like extended controls. You can customize your lock screen with widgets, shortcuts, toggles, apps, weather, etc..etc..

Just wanted to let you guys know that my primary phone is a Nexus S. So the coming update is definitely well tested on this phone
Also I've been talking to the dev of NoLED trying to resolve the conflict between the two apps. Not solved yet though.

I had the issue when I was using CM7 nightly ROm with Netarchy 1.2.2 kernel. But I was also having other issues such as the lockscreen spontaneously coming on and off. The lockscreen on/off was happening even when i disabled widget locker . so I dont think it was the app.
Since I flashed another kernel, it seems to have resolved.
Hope that helps.

Honeycomb-like lockscreen - Ripple Lock

I dunno if this is pretty well-known or not, I do see a few threads in the Galaxy S II section, but I figured I'd let more people know since I just randomly found this on the market.
For those looking for a replacement to their stock lockscreen(and those craving the Honeycomb Lockscreen), SunPengfei brings us Ripple Lock on the Android Market!
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nanoha.MyLockScreen_free
There's a bit of customization that can be done and so far everything's worked pretty well for me. You can change the font color, style, and size. There's the ability to have app shortcuts as well.
The free version does sport an ad at the top, but there is a paid version you can buy. I'll stick to the free version myself, just waiting until the quality is a little better, but who knows, I might just purchase it anyways. It's only a buck and some change.
I think it's a great compliment to any honeycomb theme out there.
P.S. Would this be better in Themes? I dunno.

Yeah I thought about that, I've been all over my phone messing with Go Launcher and stuff, so I can't give a good reading, but I'll probably charge to full later and I'll take a look.
If anybody else decides to try it out, let us know!
I ran it for a few hours then it became very unreliable.
Sent from my X10x using XDA Premium App
I had it for a week or so, and noticed it unreliable too (2.2.2)
Its pretty, and more convenient to "unlock" being able to drag the circle any-which-way you want... but meh.
Doing ok for me so far, but I'm hoping for updates to make it more reliable as well. I did read a few comments with some gripes, but I think it's got potential.
What ended up happening with it for you guys? Was it that 'double lock' thing?
The circle would get "stuck". Had to cycle the lockscreen (via power button) a few times to get it to reset and work. Also found it sluggish at times.
Overall, I thought it was good, if those problems were not there.. but at the end of the day, if its eating even a moment of extra battery, its simply not worth it for me.
Tested on Sense 3.0 Gingerbread 2.3 works but kinda slow

EDIT: Actually, now that I'm on the computer I can see your sig. Ah well!
Works very well on my SGSII. Looks awesome with HC theme.
Make sure none of the app shortcuts are broken, define a background image and make sure to set ALL options.
it wasn't until I did that that it started working good. REAL good. now I can have my camera loaded up faster than my stock lockscreen would unlock on my DX2
much faster and more useful than stock 2.2 lockscreen.
the honeycomb lockscreen from lockbot is better...
Works well except for the power button not turning the phone back on. Have to push the volume buttons to get the phone turned on to unlock.
Nexus S 4G with CM7 nightly.
You can also use lockbot, I'm not trying to troll but I've used both lockscreen replacements and lockbot seems more like the original honeycomb lockscreen. There is a free and pro version.
Check it out.
-Remember, Android hell is a real place and you will be sent there at the first sign of defiance-
sadly it randonmly works on my x10, using 2.1 version, dunno what's wrong
sometimes it won't change to this lockscreen it gets back to the original one and worst to restart
Inspire 4g with cm7.1.0-rc1 and adw ex. It runs great except for one thing. That thing is after not locking or unlocking the phone for a while it seems that the os is reclaiming the memory as it will load the home screen when you unlock and then after a second or two it will load the lock screen, title bar and all

and i tried lockbot free, but it sucks
EDIT: ok, so, using for a couple hours, i really hate the fact that the volume buttons will turn on the screen on. and, if i don't have it silenced, beep. Its really annoying, and i may end up just uninstalling it if it bugs me too much.
Free version is compatible with the Dell Streak, but paid version is not. I bought the paid version while using a captivate for a couple of days and when I went back to my Streak could not install the paid version. I ask the dev about it and sent information verifying my purchase and the response was that it is Google's fault. Won't fix the issue and won't refund.
Edit: I am on a stock ROM, so it's not because of some strange configuration.

yes.it does so. because it is on beta stage and will be fixed soon since go dev team really updates their apps in very short time.
I am still disappointed by the app
As it is not fast as,well as it does not provide more customizations. But great app for beta level. Can have a great expectations for it.

I like it, but it seems to break SMS LED notifications as provided by LightFlow. Widget Locker doesn't seem to have this issue. It's weird though, but sure why a lock screen app would have anything to do with LED notifications.
My favorite is still agile lock... Will be great to customize the background for example want to use my live wallpaper for background...

I really like this app I have added it to the collection of Go apps I have will be nice when the lock code stays in place
For those interested, customizations are non existent at this point, but the 4 key lock works great on my rooted Infuse 4G running Infused 2.2.3 with Infusion 1.1.
downloading now.
*edit* works like a champ on my NS4G running NSCollab
it's little lagging for me but its in beta and I believe in go dev team...everything from them is awesome. looking forward for updates and thnx for sharing I wont notice it without you
No custome wallpapers? What?! Mehhh I can't see my wallpaper that's a killer for me.
dont know if anyone is having this problem but it messes with my screenshot and i get a red bar with numbers towards the top of the screen. i think its this app cause when i uninstalled it my phone was fine. i really like this app and i cant wait till the bugs are worked out in the app
Nice locker app.
im waiting for the final release
but i think could u add a standalone Go Locker app without using Go Launcher?
I think, it would be good if you add a standalone Go Locker, because not all people here use Go Launcher.
Why when I installed the apk it didn't show any app on my app drawer? I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Fit and nothing worked. Do I have to install GO Launcher or something in order for this to work ?
Edit: Never mind, I got it. Installed Go Launcher Ex and applied the Lock screen. It's working well on my Galaxy Fit, I hope there'll be customization for this~ I love the four lock screen <3
make more themes please, it looks promising

like most of lockers when you turn on your device from sleep mode u can see for some seconds your home screen.
Also when you restart your phone default locker is there the first time....
Great app btw, nice sms notifications.
Good locker, but it is possible to reduce the timeout of lockscreen (when the power button was pressed but screen was not unlocked and then don't touch anything) to default timeout (3-5 sec.)?
One thing I realized is that this isn't really a lockscreen.. Handcent sms does not acknowledge that this is a lockscreen when you set up for pop up notifications. And also it would be good if you can also have the stock android lockscreen come after the lock to ensure security or have some sort of the same in the GoLocker itself.
Just my two cents..
