I remember an app for the Optimus V that was actually modified from the original Samsung Galaxy S or something that lacked an led indicator for notifications. The app was called "KeyLights." It was an app developed in the xda forums. You can either have it turned on static, flash it to test, or have it flash when receving texts or missing a call.
I installed the lg optimus v version to see if maybe it would keep the keyboard lights on, as it did for the optimus's bottom lights. But every option to toggle the lights yielded a force close.
I was wondering if maybe someone could modify that KeyLights app to be compatible with the Sidekick 4G. If so then that would solve the issue with the led lights shutting off in 5secs.

Hi everyone,
Thanks to KarrdeNZ's well written guide, I managed to flash my rom to
********Hero ROM for Magic modded for TW users (based on Fatal1ty2787's releases)********

I just noticed that my phone's LED lights are missing. The LED doesnt light up while charging, and it doesnt light up when receiving SMS as well. I think the LEDs just disappeared completely.
Anyone encounters this and is there anyway to solve it?
Thanks!
Hero ROMS currently have the following issues
Bluetooth headset/mic support is broken, though Bluetooth headset playback works fine - no known solution.
TouchFLO sluggishness - don't use it or minimise widget use - especially clocks.
LEDs mapped incorrectly - no known solution.
Camera flipped/oriented wrong - need to reinstall old Camera package to fix

I got my sms led working, via chompsms.
Charging still doesn't work but tats not really.important I guess
Yeah you can use chompSMS or SMS popup to get the message notification LEDs working again.
Also the LED does work while charging, well sort of, it will turn green when it's 'charged' but won't glow orange like it used to whilst 'charging'.

Anyone know of a stobe light app for epic
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Try app called "color flashlight". Under the effects section, there's a strobe light, among others.
I'm sure you mean a strobe light using the LED on the back of the phone. I've been looking for one, too, but all the ones I've seen in the Market don't seem to work on the Epic. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I am speaking in terms of the LED. Anyone anything?

Try TESLALED and get the donation version he's one of our own here. Great program.
There's a very long delay between hitting the widget led switch (on any app) until the LED actually turns on. It's not likely strobe will work until this delay is removed, if at all possible. The led on my wife's moment turns on instantly by comparison.

+1 on teslaled.. Best light app on market, and widget is perfect..
Traced with Ultra Keyboard from my *Epic*
Thanks for this....works great! I've been looking for an LED light that would work on the Epic for a while now.
The flashlight works fine but not the strobe effect.
There is no strobe LED for the epic because the sensor is made by NEC the libs are loaded each and every time the LED turns on and off, hence the long delay.
Ok, I did a quick test, if I go to the camera and click the Camera button quickly I get almost the same effect....why can't it be programmed the same way and if you say the library is loaded every time, maybe keep them loaded and just call upon them? How does the camera work where it detects you pressing the button and turn on the LED so quickly? I am sure it can be done, but I am not an android developer so I have no clue.
I've tried a few of the popular torch apps on the market including TelsaLED but none of them work properly on the O3D.
Trying to turn the LED on has a massive delay. If it does turn on it goes off when the screen goes off. When I try and turn the LED off sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt, and has creahed the phone a few times.
Has anyone else used a torch app without any problems?
The flash in the camera, and even turning the light on in movie mode works with no issues.
I use Droidlight on my thrill works great never had any problems. I've used plenty others and this is the only one that seems to work correctly!! Real bright

Hello Everyone,
I have Samsung infuse installed with CM10 JB 4.1.1 v. 8/23/12 ROM which is working good, I get fare battery life of 1.5 days with normal use.
But I am not getting any notification on screen when I get any call or SMS, I get ringtone alert but screen is blank.
Please let me know if all are facing this issue with Call or SMS notification light. Also tell me if there is any FIX available for this.
Thanks in Advance .
There is no notification light for the Infuse, and none of the ICS or JB ROMs have the built in "screen light up upon notification" ability that Gingerbread had. I believe this is because the post-Gingerbread ROMs for Infuse are built upon code for phones with notification lights.
But, your screen should still be lighting up when you receive a call. Mine certainly does. You might want to try a re-flash.

Hi Lukas, Thanks for reply. I did re flash but I m still not getting lighting up screen notification when I receive any SMS.
Actually is it possible for Dev team to glow up Menu, Home, Back and Search button lights up or blink when we miss any call or SMS ?
That will be really great, what you say

The screen won't light up for SMS outside of Gingerbread ROMs. As I said previously, I think this is because the ICS and JB ROMs that are built for the Infuse are being built off of code for phones which have notification lights. Phones with notification lights also don't light up the screen for SMS...they just light up the LED notification light.
I too wish that the screen would light up when I receive an SMS, as I'm completely deaf in one ear and don't always hear the notification sound. I've suggested it on at least one ICS ROM, but that suggestion never came to fruition.
I think it's just one of those things that most people don't care for. I enjoy the added functionality of JB, so I've just learned to live without it.
If it's a deal breaker for you, there are still some really awesome Gingerbread ROMs that you can flash that will still have the native SMS notification screen light up. Or, perhaps you can go into the Development subforum for whichever ROM you're running, and ask the developer if there is any way to add this functionality back into post-GB ROMs
Use GoSMS it has the features that you're looking for and it's FREE.
On my original G Flex I was able to use an app called Light Manager, and that worked flawlessly. It seems Lollipop doesn't want to play nice. One of the features I became most accustomed to was the ability to know exactly what app had a notification before even turning on the screen.
Anybody had any luck controlling their LED color and flash rate based on specific app notifications? If so, what app do you use?
Light Flow
UPDATE:
I got Light Flow working. I'm not sure what exactly I did, but it involved toggling the sound settings until I was on loud (sound on) mode. I toggled the Notification LED switch in the settings. I have Light Flow running in Root mode, but I'm pretty sure it was working before I toggled that. I also have it controlling led:flash_0, led:flash_1, and wled under the Additional LEDs found section.
As LED control was one of the most important features for me, I'm not going to futz any further with what I have working. However, if others experience the issue, they're welcome to try each of these things individually to isolate what actually got it to work.
Lightflow not working with Flex 2
Hey Cmcarboni,
would you be so kind as to post your settings with which your Flex 2 functions with Lightflow?
The led:flash_0 and led:flash_1 I can get to work, but I am just interested in the front notification LED and tried nearly every combination of settings without any success.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: It's the H955 with Android 5.1.1 (V15c-EUR-XX)
