[APP] New ATT App - Android Apps and Games

looks like they merged the ATT my wireless and uverse app into 1.
however, you can't login to uverse if you're like me and was given an email with a period separating your first and last names of your email.

I think the two have been merged for a while now.
Can you enter your email address without a period and that will work.? I know with gmail its like that.
[email protected] = [email protected]

Not Tottaly Merged.
This update has been out Since February. And you cannot Manage your DVR Via this app on U-verse you have to use the U-Verse App. You can only Pay your U-Verse Bill Via this app. So they are not completely "merged"
It wasn't until January that they release the U-Verse app to be usable outside the ATT wireless network.. Im on Verizon and I called once a month to complain I could not manage my DVR Remotely from my phone with out using a hacked version of their software.
I got a Call from a manager in January telling me to go download it.. I did.. Its buggy but it works. here is the link for the U-Verse app that allows you access to your DVR https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mobitv.client.tv

Good for checking bandwith usage as well.

It's actually a really nice app, for as little as I need to access my AT&T account.

Help setting up yahoo on TC

Just got my TC tonight and I cant put it down. I LOVE this device. Ive never had a WM phone before but have played with them without any desire to own one. Well I really like how much can be optimized and configured, and thats not even considering all the tweaks found here.
Anyway, my current issue is that I cant get my yahoo email to work. Now, it could be that Im coming from a Blackberry Curve so my phone package is the blackberry BIS. Would this inhibit me getting my email? If so, do I have to call up ATT tomorrow and get set up on the smartphone program instead?
The POP/IMAP email access requires a normal dataplan... After that the device can configure itself for the mail access (after you enter you email adrdess in the new account creation). But if you want better useability, and more security than you should configure it manually whith IMAP access... if Yahoo! supports it...

I like my BB Curve better. I guess I have way too many things against me as a Mac user also. Its a neat phone but not what I really want.
yahoo/gmail issues
I am having a weird problem. When connected over wifi, yahoo and google connect and download mail like you'd expect.
When connected to 3G or Gprs network google and yahoo fail to connect. The phone tries to make another connection, like it does not know there is already a data connection.
I know my data connection is good at 3G, because I surf the web all day...
Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
Figured it out...
Had to uncheck the "use proxy" setting on the connection profile under "proxy"

Any Comcast employees testing the Xfinity Android app on here?

Just looking for the apk if you have it
Xfinity Mobile
Hey i just downloaded the app off the mkt after reading ur post works good on my Evo.
Not a Comcast employee, but I have Comcast Tripleplay. It seems to work surprisingly well. I really like the ability to access my home phone, see who's called, listen to voicemails, save the caller as a contact, and etc.

HBO Go App

The HBO Go app is available now from the market. While it seems to be supported by our Evo and I am a HBO subscriber through Xfinity (Comcast) I can't log in. I keep getting the message "This network is restricted by Parental Control setting." Anyone else try this app with Xfinity and successfully log in?
Resolved! You must create a Comcast ID (not your primary email address but a separate Comcast ID) by going here and following the prompts.
http://www.mycomcastid.com and follow the prompts to register your Comcast ID. Funny thing is I've used Comcast for years but your log in to Comcast (for bill paying etc.) is NOT a Comcast ID. BTW, the app works pretty good too.
I read somewhere Comcast blocked this stream or something like that.
I dont subscribe to hbo. has anyone seen an option to pay for this mobile service as a stand alone? thank you

Get VPN service from another country and then download 5 vpn from android market make sure your connected to wifi unless u have unlimited data package. Setup your vpn settings and bam your phone will be from another country.
I do not want to list what VPN I am using here incase NFL might add the ip to thier blocked lists.

Getting Gmail push (exchange) to work on a different mail app

I've been using EE for a long time and decided to give the JB Sense mail app a shot. I tried to set up Gmail as an Exchange service (just as I did with EE) and it won't work. It appears that Google made it so that you can't use the Exchange service with new apps starting Jan 31st (unless you're on Windows Mobile, which is extended to July). Since EE was already set up, it continues to work.
I want to use Gmail as an Exchange service because of three reasons: push email, all email accounts in one app, and the Gmail app sucks.
My phone is rooted, unlocked, and s-off. Since I've got a functional Gmail Exchange connection via EE, is there any way to get it working with the Sense mail app?
Only new users can't set up Exchange server settings on the JB Sense mail app. This applies to all clients. Existing users, in an effort to reduce inconvenience, will continue to be supported.
If you pay for GApps, this doesn't affect you.
I can set up my gmail account exchange style using Enhanced Email without any problem. I'm guessing it's because EE sends some kind of identifier to Google during account configuration that Google okays because I've been using EE for gmail (exchange style) for a long time. I'm assuming the sense mail app gets rejected because it's identifier is different and Google rejects it.
Assuming I'm right about the identifiers, is there any way to trick the sense mail app to use the same identifier as EE so that Google won't reject it?

The stock sense email app works perfectly with exchange, at least on ICS. I am not touching JB unless HTC or Google fixes the navigation crash. And since that will never happen I guess I will be using ICS until my contract runs out and I get a new phone.

This thread isn't about the sense mail app working or not working. My corporate email (exchange) works just dandy. This thread is about Google disallowing the use of their exchange service for free accounts. If you've had gmail exchange working with the sense mail app in the recent past, it seems that Google will allow you to continue to use it (just as it allows me to use EE with gmail exchange because I've been using it in the recent past).
One way around this is to put up with IMAP.
Another way around this is to use the crap Gmail app.
Another way around this is to pay Google $50/year for Google Apps (that allows gmail echange use).
Another way is to jump ship on Gmail and use a different service that allows exchange (like Outlook.com).
I'm wondering if there is a way to have a fifth option (for me at least): have my sense mail app mimic my EE app to the point that Google will allow me to set up gmail exchange style.
