[Q] Check Fus + GT-I9100 - General Questions and Answers

Hello people.
I have restored my SGS2 to stock using Check Fus. I followed the instructions carefully and my phone is now restored to its orriginal version. (before root)
There is a minor complication however, when i open Kies 2.0 and go to the firmware tab it is showing:
This device can not be updated.
Firmware: PDA: KE3 Phone: KD1 CSC: KE3 (kor)
This is totally different from the firmware version listed in my telephone.
Did i do something wrong somewhere down the line? I have reinstalled kies and also removed the old registery. (before reinstall)
p.s. I forgot to mention this: Thanks in advance for any help / time you are willing to give me

Kernel numbers. Baseband, Buildnumber. What do they mean?

Hello.
From my post number you can understand that i am pretty new to the android world. So from my short understanding,
Kernel=The core of the OS
Firmware=The entire OS including the core .
Correct me on the above if am wrong.
Now lets get on topic. I want to root and then bring my phone to the factory default kernel or firmware if that makes a difference.
Looking at my phone status and on topics like :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101671
i see a lot of numbers that i dont understand.
First of all lets talk about my phone.
Baseband Version: I9100XXKI1
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7.19100XWKI4-CL575468
Build Number: Gingerbread.XWKI4
1) The KI4 specifies the firmware version ? If yes why in the baseband i have KI1 while one the build number KI4 ? (i had KE7 before upgrading with KIES)
2) If i would like to download the original firmware from the thread i posted above i should go for the following as described below ? Even here, The Phone says XXKI1 while PDA XWKI4 . On which should i be interested and what is each of them .
XWKI4
Firmware info
PDA:XWKI4
PHONE: XXKI1
Date: 14/09/2011
Android 2.3.4
3) Even on the XWKI4 on the above thread, there are several links, OXX MultiCSC(AUT, COS, ...), DBT (Germany), XEU (UK) , XWKI4 Stock Kernel etc. My phone was imported from Germany, does it really matter what download link i chose ? What is again the difference in them.
4) Now about kernels. For an insecure kernel i should go for the GT-I9100_XWKI4_insecure ?
5) As last , to restore back to the factory default firmware (or kernel), i need to download the original kernel from the above thread i posted which would be ( GT-I9100_XWKI4_original) , or i can simply apply the firmware which would add also the firmware and would replace it without any problem ?
Thank you very much in advance.
no one knows the answer of any of the 4-5 points ?

Because you can see the baseband (modem) as an own package in the rom.
Sometimes the rom gets updated and the modem doesn't thats why the numbers are different.
You can also flash just another modem and keep the rest of the rom.

Looks good, just write down what kernel/modem/rom you have atm and get one with the same specs among the the original firmwares.

If you flash the original firmware it will contain the original kernel.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy SLI9003 (Froyo 2.2.1) - Can't update to Gingerbread

I own a Samsung Galaxy SLI9003 (Froyo 2.2.1), which I purchased in the United Arab Emirates. Here are the details regarding the firmware running on it:
PDA I9003jvkd1
Phone I9003jxka4
CSC I9003ojvkc1
When I connect my phone to my PC through Kies, it tells me that the firmware my device is running, does not support being updated through Kies. Can anyone help as to how to go about updating to Gingerbread and what version of the stock ROM I should be flashing, since I cannot update via Kies?
flash using odin....
look at gt-i9003 threads
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1368
I did go through a bunch of threads, but I can't figure out what version of the Gingerbread stock ROM i should be flashing onto my phone.
Ok, after going through another set of threads. I found out the official UAE version of Gingerbread is I9003JPKPE(2.3.6).
Would I be able to flash it onto my phone directly from Froyo 2.2.1? I'm trying not to brick my phone, being a newbie and all.
Or would I have to FIRST flash I9003XXKPE first, and THEN flash I9003JPKPE onto my phone? If so, how would I go about flashing I9003JPKPE firmware after I have successfully flashed I9003XXKPE onto my device?

ERROR No Update Via Kies...

Guys, I have a P6200L (Brazilian). I was flash the stock ICS (Austrian), but because the wifi bugs I back to stock HC (via Odin). Now the Kies show me the message saying that my device don't support updates via Kies and the information PDA: LA3, PHONE: KL4 and CSC: LA2 (KOR).
What is this?
I was make a full flash with the pda, modem, csc, bootloader and pit file from the ROM of sammobile.com. How can I fix it?
Somebody can help me?
Thanks...
PS: Yes, I am a noob with samsung devices...xD
Fundamental element in order to be able to complete the update process of the Galaxy is to have a firmware entirely original.
If you have on your phone a test version, root permissions enabled or a modified kernel installed (e.g. , CF-Root) will be unable to update.
Kies in fact, in these cases will not be able to recognize the correct version of the software installed on the Galaxy.
In order to update without problems with the tool journal Samsung there is a requirement that many overlook, which does not lend never attention.
Kies allows you to install updates only if the firmware currently installed on the device coincides with the one provided for your Product Code.
For example, if you have a telephone of import there will be never detected an update italian but only that of the country of origin of the phone.
Product Code: dial this code > *2767*4387264636#
Firmware build: dial this code > *#1234#

Sm-j710fn firmware change

Hi. First thing's first- I've purchased a Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) with model SM-J710FN (as written on the back of the phone) variant from France, and as expected, it would have a French (or German) firmware installed (I'm not sure about that). I want to change over to the Indian firmware and I've been trying for a very long time, but I can't get anything. I've done the basics, such as trying to flash the Indian firmware for the correct with ODIN, but every time, an error occurs, saying, "secure check fail" on ODIN. I've also learnt that there is also something as an SSP variant of the device. Can someone please enlighten me on that and give me a link to a proper Indian firmware I can use? Thanks, much appreciated!
Just a quick note: My phone IS still under warranty, I'm not interested in loosing that.
Info about the phone:
Android version: 6.0.1
Baseband version: J710FXXU3AQD2
Build Number: MMB29K.J710FXXS3AQD1

Stock Firmware For Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005

So, I've been having this problem. I want to hard reset my phone but I can't as "Volume UP + Home + Power" doesn't work (broken as I failed to flash TWRP) nor the reset in the settings of the phone. I've decided to use Odin but I can't find my type of stock firmware except one which is downloading right now and says there's 9 hours left. Could you help me by putting a link to my phone's stock firmware? Phone details are here:
Region: MM1
Model: SM-N9005
PDA: N9005DXSGBQA1
CSC: N9005DXUGBOK3
(Or was it N9005OLBGBOK3? Try seeing if the CSC above is there.)
OS: 5.0 Lollipop
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I soft-bricked my Android, now I'm going to need the firmware for my device...
FYI.
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note3/SM-N9005/
Would you please help me download that file and send it to me on a website that doesn't take a whole day to download? (MEGA, FILEDROPPER) etc. I don't have enough time on my hands...
Also, I put the wrong details for my phone.
PDA: N9005DXSGBQA1
CSC: N9005DXUGBOK3
(I think it's N9005OLBGBOK3 not N9005DXUGBOK3)
Thank you very much!
I'll be keeping in touch with this thread for a couple days.
