Do any of you use a cache cleaning app? I use 1tap cache cleaner. Is it necessary? Or does the phone clear the cache itself whenever it needs to? Just wondering because my phone constantly has 10+ mb of cache.

I have recently started having issues with location services being correct. Google maps, weather bug will not update my location unless I power off the phone and reboot. I have tried clearing network location data, cleared googlr data. I am rooted, could it be possible I froze something on accident? Any ideas?
Thanks

Don't clear your data unless you want to reset all the settings, or if it's a game, your progress.
Clean Master can do a batch clearing of app cache.
Clearing the data would reset the applications settings, saved data and what not.
However you can clear cache as it is annoying to have unnecessary garbage stored in your device which is produced by many apps.
There are many cache cleaners on the Play Store. Personal favorite has to be Cache Mate.
when i try to check battery status,
this message always pops up "unfortunately setting has stopped".
and
i posted thread in droid forum.
someone said to clear cashe and data in apps.
i clear them, but this did not work.
do u know how to fix this?
Can you tell us more about you device? Brand/model/ROM?
If it's Sony Xperia This might help.
Kyocera Rise C5155 has andorid 4.04
I suppose the only thing I care about saving from my phone is the SMS messages, since everything else is in the cloud. Unfortunately, I don't think I can export or backup this stuff. Just how much data do I imperil by doing a user data wipe with it?
I have a Huawei Y300 Ascend
The Roms user data. Like SMS, Phone logs etc. But anything in your internal storage will not be wiped like photos, files, documents etc.
Bugger! Well, I guess I can manage to back up what matters.
What about that "wipe cache partition" stuff? From what I know, clearing a cache is never dangerous, but "cache partition" gives me pause.
My GPS doesn't follow me while navigating in Google Maps, Pokemon Go and Waze. I've tried a few GPS fixing apps. I've reset the cache partition. I've cleared the app cache. I've sent it in for repair last month. I've factory data reset multiple times.
I think I'm out of options. What can I do?
So I have had the Verizon Galaxy S22 Ultra since Monday. The only issue with it that I have noticed is at seemingly random times phonecalls and text messages just don't go through. It is temporarily fixed by toggling airplane mode. I noticed this problem on my Note 9 when its OS was first updated to Android 10, but the difference on this phone is with the Note 9 the phone would say "Searching for Service" in the SIM card status when this problem occurred; on my Ultra it does not say that.
Clear system cache.
Reset network settings.
Clear data in Sim roolkit app.
Have Verizon reset on their end.

Your advice seems to be working! I cleared system cache, reset network settings, and cleared the data in the SIM Toolkit app. Actually there are two apps with that name, so I cleared the data of both.

Yay!
Dual sim card option?
Clearing that data is harmless and will solve the issue sometimes when a network reset fails.
