Its just an example and it makes the Nexus One look bad since its doing way more than any of our live wallpapers do at the moment. Also the sound playing in the back ground is over kill and a complete waste of battery. Also is there an apk file with the sense live wallpaper for non-root users.

Yeah your right but there aren't to many good ones right now. I would have thought there would have been maybe 100 by now but this one does beat most of them. Even thou it is a simple video if somebody made some like this I now people would like it. Now don't get me wrong this one doesn't have anything on the earth, matrix, and stars live wallpapers.

The main thing we can say we have over the iCrap is our 1ghz processor that is so "powerful" we can have moving wallpapers. We all know the live wallpapers are just another way for Google to give Apple the middle finger lol.

The one on the other thread requires root access... so can you put up a link or something? Will be grateful.
Yeah I also want the link since the other guy said it was "awesome" and the only sense wallpaper I've seen is pretty simple.

What are you trying to say?
And there is no apk for the Sense live wallpaper, because it requires pushing of .lib files to the system. Which cannot be done without root.
I am trying to praise the Nexus One but if somebody is going to be sarcastic maybe they can show me something more impressive. For example the sense wallpaper comment if its that good than at least put up a video showing it off. I hope this thread gets a lot of videos showing off cool wallpapers that we should see more of on android phones.

This is what playing a movie in the background should look like, not a live wall paper. There are plenty of very awesome live wallpapers available (tho I personally just use a static wallpaper as I personally see no point in it other then to be "flashy").

try the anipet live wallpaper .. there are goldish swimming around and lily pads floating.. you can move the lilypads.. feed the fish, cause the water to ripple , and spook the fish..
there are awesome live wall papers, like seeds of life, who doesnt want little semen swimming around their home screen? and they interact with your finger touching
the N1 is still fairly new and so is the concept of interactive live wall papers, so i cant wait to see what comes of them

um there already "live" widgets. every widget is inherently live, otherwise its just an icon. what specifically are you looking for
how about some live app shortcuts... to use with Desktop Visualizer etc.
they could move around in different directions and such

There is a company that is working on some impressive stuff like what you are talking about. Check out tatHome. They have a bunch of videos that shows what they are working on and rumor has it that it will work on android devices.

I checked out that tathome stuff.....and while it is ridiculously sick....its been in the works for just about a year now. I saw this work of genius seven months or so ago, and its still not out with any word of where its progress is at or perhaps a release date. This would keep me from switching to WP7 by the end of the year....but as of now the UI android has is not as smooth as it sooo could be, as everyone can plainly see in the demo video of tathome.
If anyone has any word on this, I'm quite sure it would be much appreciated by alot of people.

They had a beta testing program but they closed it. I've been keeping my eye out to see I'd they open it up to testing again.
What's your setup? Sense is real smooth for me.
I'm not impressed with win7.
But a few things look cool.
I'f you want to see the future of android check out mozilla seabird.
Seabird phone with tathome UI would be amazing.

This is definitely a must have for the EVO.
If there has been no public development it is because some large company wrote a large check to either shelve it or use it in their own phones.

I very sorry but there is no amount of help or tech that will make your tab look cool. Everyone knows that only geeks use android. Only uber-geeks use android tablets. And in that sorry population that is uber-geeks, only the outcasts use the galaxy7 tab. So clearly all hope is lost. Thanks bro. Took us about 3 days. Its pretty deep so the fish can stay alive through the winter.
Yeah dude, I haven't filmed anything because the only time I get the urge to film something, it's something my girl won't let me share, not to mention youtube has policies against that type of content. Regardless, this camera is badass.
PS - is that a fake fish at the top of the waterfall? It just looks like a koi went all salmon and once he got upstream he was like "**** this was a bad idea".

Here's a couple i took at a local theme park here in Alabama, kinda like a six flags knock off. I was unfortunately on Cm7 this day so it's took with the stock android camera on it's highest setting, wish i woulda flashed 2.3.3 based rom on the way so i coulda used the LG camera. But oh well here they are, make sure you watch video 1 first. It would be nice if you could swap from the front camera to the back camera mid video instead of having to start over that would be nice.

Nice lets see them! I think we should put video up from the LG cam and cm's cam and compare, mine is from cm nightly 98, I think it be pretty cool to see the differences and which one is actually better

Man its kinda close idk I'm swaying more towards LG with the vids for sure but cm takes nice pics equivalent to LG camera
we really need autofocus for the video so it can look more better

To the Sensation's credit, the cam was the only thing about that phone I didn't completely hate after a month of issues. It takes very nice pics. Unless that video he posted earlier of the pond was not his Sensation, I have yet to see how the HD video looks though.

Why would I post a video from the Sensation under a thread about HD video in the G2X forum. Why is it such a crime that I use two different phones? I actually use 5 different phones since I still play around with some old ones. Does it bother you that much that I don't use the phone of your choice as my daily driver?
Anyhow, I have no problem posting some HD video from my Sensation in the Sensation forum. For your information though, it is noticeably better as it shoots 1080p at 30fps stock with auto focus and stereo sound instead of mono sound.
Seriously, grow up. Just because I use the Sensation more than my G2X (the phone of your choice) doesn't mean I don't think its a good phone.
