hello,
guys is there any way to get all the details of device just by entering the s/n or imei no. details like buyer of the device etc.
thanks
I don't believe there is a way to do that. Maybe Tmobile or another carrier can, but I don't know if a consumer can.

ok, as of now the only solution to unlock sensation is to get a code, and one is to buy online.
Just a question, is this one safe?
Can someone confirm if they got their code after purchasing?

Is what one safe? You didn't post a link to the site you're considering. Not all unlocker services are created equal. We can't definitively say that all unlock codes are safe to purchase cause some of them aren't.

so can you give site/s that would be safer to transact with? im really curious to this one. i have locked sensation but im not yet giving it a try, im not hearing anything yet from others.
I don't know where you are but I used www.theunlocker.ca
I'm in Ontario Canada, I have a virgin mobile sensation and I use it on telus, the code was only $28 and they emailed me my code within 20 min

Sent from my Sensation 4G using xda premium
Does it take a sim card I didn't think those could be black listed ..... but yea you can unlock it but I am pretty sure you can get it to work if it has a sim

Still if its stolen that means its imei is Locked by network police can track you even if you get it working.

yeah you can unlock it
here is the guide for it
PS: you need to have root on the device to unlock it
Anyways as the other person said your phone can be tracked even if you unlock the phone..as normally tracking is done base on IMEI number which cannot be changed
Also don't forget to press THANKS if you find my post helpful
I think it stolen as in from insurance claim someone didn't send in Idk I didn't buy it lol

Tell him to file a claim with eBay. They side with the buyer like 99.999% of the time.
I came across a great deal the other day, thought i would upgrade my HTC mytouch to a htc 1 s.
Now I've got this great device... but i don't think it supports the bands.
From what I've read it's the same device, same FCC ID and everything... i've unlocked it, but won't connect.
any takers?

i meant to say mobilicity, not wind... it won't even pick up any networks though. seems like aws isn't activated or something on the device.
I use an unlocked Fido One S on Wind, it works perfectly, I actually get better reception then I did with my G2 which was a t-mobile phone. I have tested it with a Mobilicity sim and it works, just need to set the APNs and the phone must be unlocked
got it
got it, please delete thread.
How do I determine if the ESN is not locked.and what else do I need to check for I don't get ripped off. Thanks!!!
Sent from my HTC Sensation
You can simply call it in to T-Mobile or if a ESN is blocked put your sim in and see if you can make calls and use data

Tell the seller you want to meet at a tmobile to do the deal, and you just want a rep to verify ESN, IMEI. If the seller balls at this, walk away.
If the seller is legit this shouldn't be a problem.

Help provided, Good To Go, Thank You.
So I found a HTC One X from AT&T on the side of the road the other day, surprisingly in great condition. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted, have SuperCID, and have S-OFF. I was wondering if anyone here knew if it is possible to change this phone over in order to use on the Virgin Mobile network?

You can buy a sim unlock key.

Don't be surprised if someone comes looking for it. Very simple matter to track these phones to their exact location.

Nope, Virgin uses Sprint network CDMA as opposed to GSM for ATT

When i lost my sensation I used Google play and maps combo to track it within 30'
If imei has been registered with Google it can be easily tracked even without a aim card as long as it gets WiFi signal. And the phone can easily be blacklisted as long as imei is known.
And on the point of using it on virgin mobile if they are at all like Verizon they will have a SIM but only for the 4g data. Like a sprint iPhone. Uses cmda for calls and the sim for data connection.

He should just buy his own device, and look in the one xl for a contact named mom, dad or something and call and let them know u found the phone. That's the right thing to do.

@31ken31 I know it's the right thing to do, but I was just answering his question.

So you didn't try to find the owner and return the phone? That's pretty dodgy man.

Finders keepers I assume. Lol when I left my hox at
the grocery store I was happy the person who found it was honest. They called my mom and told her it was found, I had it back an hour later. Worse part was I didn't realize I had even lost it yet

Karma. If you take someone's property without even trying to return it, you deserve to have your property stolen or destroyed without a word of complaint.
I tried to return the phone....the phone was locked and I was unable to retrieve any numbers from it. There was a missed call on the lockscreen and I called that number but it had been disconnected. I put an ad on craigslist for a "FOUND LOST PHONE", I got a few replies but they were all looking for a different brand of phone.I have found atleast half a dozen phones in the last year and returned everyone of them. It's not like I just picked up the phone and immediately done a factory reset so I could start using it.

Yea, if you tried but could not find the owner then finders keepers kicks in

As long as a honest attempt was made. But you will need to switch to a gsm carrier and need an unlock code

I read a thread for the One S that said the unlock code could be mathematically derived from the IMEI. Any known method such as this for the One X?
Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
No. The same method may work. Never tried it.
