[ANNOUNCEMENT]Please post questions in the Q&A forum! - HTC Sensation

Alright folks! We now have us a new shiny Q&A forum so lets use it. The bulk of existing questions have already been moved, and from this day forward-6.22.2011-
ALL QUESTIONS SHOULD BE POSTED IN THE Q&A SECTION. QUESTIONS POSTED IN THE GENERAL FORUM WILL BE MOVED TO Q&A WITHOUT A REDIRECT OR WARNING.
Repeatedly posting questions in the general section can and will result in infractions.
Please DO NOT flame users if they post in the wrong section, as this too will lead to infractions. Rather, please inform them POLITELY that their post is in the wrong section.
Any beef? PM me.

Please use the "REPORT POST" button!
Howdy folks. Just a quick word; if you are having a problem with a particular thread or user, please do not PM us a link to said thread or user, but instead use the "REPORT POST" button beside the offending user or thread.
What this does is send a PM to myself and badwolve1(your moderators), aswell as the administrators with a direct link to the offending post and thread, but more importantly it keeps a clear record of who has the problem, and who the offender is.
Doing this keeps everything neat and documented and helps us avoid "he said/she said" situations.
Thanks guys!-ashasaur

Windows (Vista) Contacts/Calendar and WM6?

Hi there,
is there any possibility to sync Windows Mobile 6 with "Windows Contacts" and "Windows Calendar" which is included in WinVista? I know, ActiveSync isn't able to do that (it needs Outlook), but I hope, that there is any programmar, who wanted this too and has coded a tool. I mean, there are some sync-tools for Mozilla & Co...
Any idea?

[Q] pls help, moderators! questions about forum rules and Q&A/Development threads

hi moderators and senior members
hope that this is the place to ask about forum rules and definition about "questions". if this is not the correct thread, kindly pls move to a suitable one since i couldnt find one.
i want to learn more about the purposes and rules about the "Q&A thread" (or "general questions") and "development thread". below are some of the questions i have:
- should ALL questions classified as "general questions" and post in general question thread, regardless of it's purpose or nature like technical/development/general/other questions?
- should development threads contain posts with "actual" development and results only? for the term "actual development", does it mean it has to be "physical files or products", but not intangible things like ideas/theories/how-tos/status/suggestions?
thank you

Hello and Welcome to the Forums.

Rules of Behavior (Just to be clear)
1. Posting in the Development Forum. Creating new threads in the Dev Forum is restricted to development work. Roms, Hacks, Roots, etc. This IS NOT a place to ask questions. There is a Q&A Forum for that.
Exception: If you have a problem with a specific Custom Rom, Hack, Root, etc, then you may post it in the related thread where it originated from. Example; you installed a custom rom from the Dev Forum, and it has issues rom related. You may post your issue in the ROM THREAD ONLY. Do NOT create a new thread.
2. Arguments and Flaming. We shouldn't have to go over this, but it seems some people love to participate in such behavior. Calling a user a "n00b" is not tolerated, and such posts will be deleted, and the poster warned/infracted/banned. Giving a user a hard time because their english is bad, is also not tolerated. XDA is not a Grammar School.
If an argument starts, DO NOT participate in it. You have a "Report Post" button. Use it. Let the Mod's take care of it. You are not moderators, so please don't act like it.
3. RD's, RT's, RC's. As given such title, you are expected to behave in a manner reflecting the best of XDA. Participating in arguments is not what is expected. You also have an "RP" button. Use it. This also applies to Senior Users who have been around.
4. Arguing with a Moderator is pointless, and as such, can result in warnings/infractions/ban. So don't go that route. If you feel a Moderator is out of line, or made a mistake, you may argue your point via PM. Publicly posting is not a good way to go.
We are all here to help the users, and to mainly help continue the development of the devices. This is a Development site, not Facebook or other social networking sites.
If you have any issues or questions, please feel free to contact us via PM. You will find the moderator links at the top of each main forum.
Thank You.
