One day i'll get to the 10 posts so I can post in the right area...
So far only things for me are
Wiped cache, dalvic and data. Came up from 1.6.3
FC on PVMTPSerrviceStart each reboot and usually once or twice after that.
Other non suprises Kernel Manager not seeing device as rooted.
Pretty snappy and everything else works.

I've had a great experience with BAMF 2.0 so far. I came from Vanilla Bean 1.2.1, nand back-up, wiped fully, flashed BAMF 2.0 Beta 2, adb reboot bootloader, flashed radios, and had zero problems. This morning I flashed 2.0 Beta 3 over Beta 2 after wiping cache and dalvik (not data), and I had one reboot almost immediately. But after that reboot, everything is running smooth. I had been gradually moving away from Sense with the froyo roms, but I like the new Sense 3.0 stuff. Doesn't really feel like beta for me. Kudos to team BAMF for an awesome ROM!

Any issues charging the battery? Mine is taking forever, charging about 10% an hour.

I was down to around 88% about 45 mins ago and plugged in. Just checked and I'm at 95%.
Mine seems to be about the same as always.

What Kernal are you using? Stock or Imo's.

I'm using the one that came with the update, I believe it's Imo's. Has to be because the camera and everything works.

That's weird...Everything else is working...I know other people have said they were having the same problem, but I can't seem to find a solution and I spent all day setting this thing up and don't really want to flash again.

I was noticing a slow charge time also. I just recalibrated my battery so we will see what happens now.

Ya, I've not had any issues (knock on wood).
Anyways, I saw there was an .04 release, so I'm downloading it. My battery is down to 80%, it's 4:20 my time.
I'll be leaving where I'm at at around 5 (so about 40 mins).
I'll post what my battery is at when I unplug it (I'm also doing the .04 download over 3G as well).
Update: 4:45 now and my battery is now at 94%.
Final update: 4:55 and my battery is at 98%.

All Fixed in 2.04
Now to get that exchange policy removed from here too

There was some bug fixes in the .04 version that some where experiencing.

has anyone fixed the tme stamp issue?

Not that I have seen.. Handcent knows the right time though so if you delete mms.apk from system/apps using root explorer then reboot your phone and install Handcent sms your messaging will show the right time again.. only fix I've found so far

I had this same issue.. I flashed the test7 kernel suggested in Adrynalyne's post on BAMF 2.0-beta 4.01.
Once I did that, the charge time is much faster now on the phone.

I get similar uptimes myself. I use the hell outta my phone. The only time I ever reboot is when flashing.

69??? Seriously? That's crazy. I'm getting 22 hours on CM7 51. Then again I just discovered that maps, camera, and Music Beta was running that entire time so who knows.

In the 2 months I used the phone I manually restarted it many times for different reasons but I never had a single reboot.

oooohhh...we're talking about uptime since a reboot/restart? I thought you were talking about time between charging, lol.
My longest uptime in that case, has only been about 12 hours. Because I keep flashing roms or kernals or mods or updating cwm...or something, lol. But I haven't had a lockup or restart since I got off the plain leaked gb. Although there was that time when I tried undervolting 1500MHz by -100...phone didn't like that.

i think it's wiser to reboot the phone after 48 hours, or at least 24. Some programs get messed up and it's always good to reset the system.

I live and die by rebooting my phone every 48 hours. I use a app called Fast Reboot which usually frees us over 150mb of Ram. I'll do that every 12 hours and a system restart every 24 hours. Lets face it. Some of are apps have memory leaks in them and can really tax the system.

Any app with a memory leak gets uninstalled. Homie don't play that. At 106 hours, still snappy and no crazy battery drain. EB 1.04 froyo.

im not talking about battery life, im talking about no reboots manual or automatic, im at 84 hours now. im gonna see how long i can go with no problems.

CM7 MR2.5 bat issues

Hello to all you great people! I am not new to this site but I havent posted much or at all. This site is increadible and has taught me a ton about what a droid can do once you know how to use it. Thanks everyone! Anyway I have a question that I would of posted in the CM7 dev thread but I dont have permission since I havent posted much. Is anyone having bat drain issues with the newest build (RC1.1 MR2) using the GB radio 2.5? I have lost over 10% bat life in 25 mins while in airplane mode, no data including wifi and the screen was only on for maybe 2 or 3 mins. It may be a problem on my end but I just wanted to see if anyone else is having an issue with this. Oh and thanks to all you devs for doing all the hard work and dealing with angry wifes or girlfriends! We all appreciate it!

On mr2 it did feel like my battery was draining faster than normal.. with the stock kernel at least. Glad I'm not the only one try switching kernels

I actually had this problem too with the stock kernel, and once I overclocked with the Dream kernel it actually stopped draining my battery, strange.

I did try using Imoseyon's CM7 leankernel but had the same effect. Ill try the dream kernel and report back. Thank guys!!

I'm on my first day with this build of CM7, with MR2.5 and noticed my battery has drained way faster than it did with gingeritis.

Is there an official name for this kernel, or someplace to get it? I tried a quick Google search for "htc thunderbolt dream kernel", and it didn't bring up anything definite.
I noticed the battery drain too. CM7 7.1.0 RC1 with the MR2.5 radio. It seems to be "cell standby" that's using the highest percentage of the battery. I have it set to CDMA / EvDo auto.

What programs do you have running? Are you overclocked? I an running mr2.5 cm7.1 rc1.1 and still have 22% on 18 hours unplugged. 3 hour screen on, lots of texting, xda browsing, market updates, and an hour of plans vs zombies. On stock kernel, no overclocking. Using interactive governor.

I do have things set to run in the background, but they don't even register a high enough percentage in the battery usage to show there. I was not having battery issues with the 7.0.1 RC 6 on MR1 (the last build).

I've tried two of the utkanos kernels (not the OC one), and the dream kernel. On both of the utkanos kernels, I had no data. I tried rebooting several times, switching data on and off, and changing the network mode. No luck. The dream kernel took several minutes, but data finally came on. I haven't used it long enough to comment on any battery life differences between stock CM7 and this.

Running BAMF getting 1 1/2 on battery easy on 2.5
I am currently running the 2.5 on my BAMF sense 3 2.3.2 dream kernal. My battery is lasting very nicely currently. See the post below I have had better times the best was 1 day and 19 hours.

Ok so here's the news on my end. With the dream kernel things seem much better! However I was watching my ma usage and it went from 48ma to 240ma something after turning on wifi. Then after turning wifi off it never dropped. I rebooted and things went back to a cool 48ma. I'm guessing my original problem was with the stock kernel. But now that I'm on the new one the phone wont power down the wifi or something and made me burn thru my bat till I rebooted. Any ideas gents? Reboot did fix but that usually kills a good 4 to 10% of my bat everytime. I have next to nothing running in the background too.

Guess I should add that now after reboot I'm around 100 ma usage and steady with wifi on. Maybe a reboot once a day might do the trick till CM is finalized. Was thinking bout trying the mr2 radio stead of 2.5. Anyone know if there's a difference or advantage to either?

[Q] Battery Level Stuck at 100%

I have had this problem for a couple of months not and just got sick of it. My battery percentage is stuck at 100%. I have tried everything; reflashing, clearing battery stats, using battery calibration tools, completely draining (a few times) and fully charging and clearing bat stats again to no avail. I can see in multiple places that the battery voltages levels are dropping but having no effect on the percentage.
My phone info:
G2x flashed with Cyanogenmod 7 11 01 2011 nightly (I can not up date for a few weeks as I am on a ship), Faux123-v0.4.7r.
Anybody experience the before or have a idea of a fix?

could be a few things...
1) have you tried any other rom/kernel combo's and does it still happen?
2) you say you are using faux123's kernel, if it is the DS version of it the battery driver percentage readings are a bit strange on that version. you could just be getting a VERY extreme case of that, try the CM version if you haven't already. (should be in the same thread as the DS version)
3) if you want to give it a shot, you could try using This. its a batch file that will completely and 100% wipe your phone (and the internal SD card) clean, its fixed some strange issues for people, and it might just help you too.
3) if none of the above work, try picking up a cheap battery on ebay/amazon for the phone, from what i hear you can get one in the $10-$25 range pretty easily. it could be that something in the battery itself is messed up thats causing it too.

1. This only started happening without correcting itself this past ROM. I am currently out to sea and can not download a new one. I have a few previous ROMS on my computer that I can try.
2. I am using the more stable CM version of the kernel.

yeah, if you can swing it, a full wipe is most likely going to help. otherwise either just try to live with it, or try dirty-flashing a new rom.

Ok, I tried the dirty-flash to no joy. Just broke down, backed everything up with Titanium Backup and did the complete wipe and install. Battery is back to normal. I would still really like to know what caused the battery not to register (before I did all of this, messed with the Cyanogenmod settings for status bar. Went back to just the icon of the battery and it showed a question mark with no level).

You most likely f'ed up the system ui because of a bug in the status bar mods or a theme. Honestly most of the time these things are fixable, but the fix is a helluva lot more complicated and time consuming than just wiping.

I would either flash a different kernel, flash a different rom or wipe EVERYTHING and start over.

its because you probably got a leak of one of the new nuclear batteries, so i think you can use it for like 5000 years or so, but with juice defender you might be able to get like 7500 out of it!...
just be sure not to under volt it too much! or els the fission becomes unstable...
and you know... Kaboom!

4.0.4 heavy battery drain

Hi,
Has anyone else had problems with the battery draining with the new 4.0.4 ? My GF Nexus S was still on 2.3.6 so I got the factory version of 4.0.4 and installed it. I obviously wiped the data/cache/etc. Also I rooted it with the latest superuser.
I'm running the latest nighly of CM9 and everything is perfect, so I thought it was time to give her the sweetness of ICS.
So with all that useless information, has anyone found a fix for the battery drain in 4.0.4?

Since I installed 4.0.4 my battery lasts up to 20 hours, no problem at all.
I'd suggest manual full wipe with fresh 4.0.3 stock rom and then manual ota update to 4.0.4.
I'm also using matr1x kernel, it's just awesome

Yeah, me too! Try another ROM. I am currently using CyberGR-MOD|NS.NGN ICS v10 HYBRID and getting superb battery life (and performance, mind you ).

Stock rom is ok, but updating with ota from 2.3.6 to 4.0.4 may lead to bad battery behaviour. Someone says that battery stats wipe could lead to better battery performances, but I think fresh install could do the trick

Official factory fastboot images, must be flashed using fastboot on an unlocked bootloader. Contains recovery, radio, and bootloader.
THESE IMAGES MUST BE FLASHED USING BOOTLOADER VERSION I9020XXKA3
I can't really be more fresh than this. I'll try messing around with her settings, but if it doesn't get better, I'll just flash her the latest CM9 nightly

Check your battery usage, if Android OS is using more than 8-9% after some regular usage, then that's the cause.

Ehhhmmmm... My Android OS usage is always around ~20%, but my battery still lasts ~15 hours. Heavy usage. Are you telling me that it should last even longer?
Anyway, AMOLED screen or sLCD?

Her Android OS is normal...I really don't understand why it's that bad. I'll try doing a full battery cycle.

Updated form 2.3.6 stock to 4.0.4
OTA and battery usage is still OK. Lasts about 1-1.5 days. Permanent Wifi or 3g, internetusage and some gaming-No probs!!!

A full battery cycle could do the trick. Don't let it die, anyway, because it can cause battery wear... Just take it to 10% and recharge it nighttime... You may also wipe battery data before, if you wish...

Check apps like news and weather too. My news and weather app really acted up after my ics update and wouldn't stop pulling data. I had to shut off any automatic updating with that app and it fixed my issue. It might have been temporary but just check your apps.

Try Badass Battery monitor . it will give you some good info on whats using your battery. Gives you a % of app usage

OMG thank you, I didn't notice that. Maybe I can get even better battery performance now it was set to update every 1 hour, so it may be not much, but even 1% is good for me!

Heavy battery drain ??? i don't have any issues with it, infact i have not touched my phone for 1 day 6 hours and 25 minutes and my battery dropped from 95% to 82%. My phone was fully charged (didn't go higher then 95%). I am very impressed by the results.
I changed 2 settings:
1. Automatic screen brightness.
2. Turn screen off after 30 seconds.

Do you use 3G to connect to the internet? Never got more than 20 hours on 3G/HSDPA... without even using the phone!

my Nexus S was updated automatically to version 4.0.4. I will tell you. My problem is with data. Now I can not open any WWW page in default viewer,Opera sometimes opens some pages but quite rare. I can not get any email in K9 Mail. Update of Google maps took several hours, unfinished, eaten all my battery! Sometimes I am without signal or with bad signal.
It is for sure problem with 4.0.4 because I have unlimited data. So, no FUP in this case.
I was satisfied with 2.3.6. How can I do downgrade without rooting etc. my phone ?

Check your APNs. But they should have come off the simcard when you updated.

Try find out what is hogging your battery/cpu. Download os monitor.
Or just flash a new rom to see if that helps. make a backup first
