I'm no Sense expert so pardon the noob question as I've looked around already.
Is there any way to change default dialer? I cannot stand the one that came stock and want to download another but don't want to waste a app icon space on a dialer if I don't have to.
Look into DialerOne on the market and see if you like that better. If not you can always uninstall

I want a sort of middle ground. The vanilla does too little and lacks speed dial. Sense is much better but maybe does too much.

The only app that my Vibrant had that I wish I had on my Sensation, is the Sammy Calculator. It was awesome. When I try to install the apk file from my Sammy, it says it failed. Anyone know if it is possible?

I think that apk requires the touchwiz framework, so no it may not be possible - unless someone modified the apk to work with other phones. Might have to search xda for that if it exists.

I'm currently running ARHD 3.0.4 and love the ROM, and the sense UI. I was wondering if there was a way to get the stock Gingerbread notification bar and icons as I hate the Sense ones. If this is not possible can someone direct me to some roms that do have the gingerbread bar so I can take a look at them.
The bar can be done using a simple Sensee theme like thyparency

Yeah, this is the same launcher I've tried before and it's way too buggy for me to use. It won't add widgets or remove shortcuts without crashing. That was why I'd rather just build a touchwiz rom that way the launcher isn't really much of an issue

touchwiz is FAR from AOSP.....
it is as intertwined with framework, drivers, and dependencies as sense is.
i just dont see it happening on this device.
Lovely..... Touchwiz launchers hate me and we can't port it. Looks like I'm stuck with sense.

Yeah right. XD couldn't get enough to buy a gs2 to save my life. Too many low ballers. I'll just wait on the nexus prime I suppose.

Hey guys I was wondering if there was any way anybody could get for me the stock HTC notification tones. You know, the ones for messaging, email, and default notification.
I am running MIUI and I currently don't like their notification tones and I wish I had my stock HTC ones back. I would be super appreciative if someone could get these for me and remind me which ones are which because I don't remember which tones went to which notification.
