Hi,
In Settings > Sound there is a checkbox called "Pulse notification light" and description of this is "Pulse trackball light repeatedly for new notifications". What does this setting do? What trackball (Desire S)?
I'm using stock rom.

Under ring type I do not see "Vibrate and Ring". Is this for real? Any fix?
Hi, juiceppc!
You can go to Settings > Sounds & Notifications, then to de 2nd tab.
In "Event" select "Phone Known Caller" and mark the both box: "vibrate when ringer switch off" & "vibrate when ringer switch on"
Do the same selecting "Phone Unknown Caller", if you want too.
Hope this helps!
Yes thank you! I should have looked at that.
Hi all,
Just been looking around and found sth about change LED Notification.
"Enable LED Notification Setting in Sound and Notifications
If you want your LED to flash when you have a new message, missed call or voicemail.. well you can't as it is greyed out. I found a cab which does so at Leo section. However, it does not change the Colour of LED Notification, Back in i had my Dopod D810 flast a rom which can make my LED Notification flashing in Red, this nowadays i found none could do the same trick....
does anybody have an idea how to make LED Notification turn in Red Colour as Missed Message, Missed Call, and other Notifications
Here's the link for the LED Notification found at Leo section - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638
Hello,
I was trying to change the email notification sound on my HTC Desire S email client, but I'm not able to do that.
If I go to notification settings, I can see three entries:
e-mail notifications (ON)
notification sound (ON)
notification vibration (OFF)
But I don't see how to change the notification sound there.
If I go to System Settings and then to Audio settings, if I tap on notification sound, I see I am already using the notification I want, but this setting is not detected by the email client from HTC.
What's the setting to be modified then?
Have you looked in the sound tab of personalise? (are you running stock firmware)?
Thanks a lot! There is what I was looking for!
Running rooted stock ICS on this one. Notifications from the stock SMS messenger worked fine - phone will vibrate.
When I get a notification from either Textra or Kik, it won't vibrate. If I have sound on, I will get the notification sound (and vibration, since I have "sound and vibration" checked), and get the notification icon in the tray, so clearly it's *getting* the notification, it's just not vibrating when in "Vibrate" mode. Have already checked the Sound settings - vibration intensity for notification is all the way up. I'm stumped.
Any easy to to increase vibration intensity? I tried EK kernel at first but terrible battery life. I just liked the EK app that let me change kernel intensity. Any easy ways to increase vibration intensity otherwise?
Go to settings > Sound & Vibration > (Under) Ringtone & Vibration you will see 3 different "sound and vibration" sections, one for each of the 3 notification sounds such as Phone Ringtone, SMS, and Notification. This is where you assign the ringtone you want for each one. Tap on each one and at the top under "Vibration" is the setting for "Vibration pattern and intensity". Tap on this and you will have 3 settings under "Vibration Intensity", Light, Medium, Strong.
