[Q] How to delete backups on ROM Manager Premium - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would like to remove one of my backups that are no longer needed. How would I go about to delete them? Thanks!

Click on 'manage and restore backups' . From the list of backups long press on the backup you wish to delete. You will get options to 'restore, rename,or delete '. Choose delete.

Thanks! I thought I would see an option when I long-press. I guess all I needed to do was short press to see an option.

Or go to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/ and find the folder (dated) and delete it

[Resolved] How to rename nand backups

The easiest and cheapest way is by opening rom manager and scroll down to where it says backup/restore and on the backup you want to rename you hold it and then it will give you options like delete etc...chose rename and rename it example MikFroyo_1-24-2011 when you space make sure you _ for spaces and you should not get an error I segest you make a backup and use that to test it you can also rename it by clicking back up restore within rom manager and press back and rename it like showed in the example hopes this helps I have tested both with no problems what so

How to delete stock .apks?

i tried to use a free-type root explorer; it didn't have the mount as r/w button, so i went and found a program that does only that? anyway, when i delete the apk's from the system folder nothing happens.
also, i need to add dutch to the bilingual stock keyboard.. only current option is espanol. anyone can help? my chef asked me what the code for holland was, it's nl_NL, but he never said what to do with that info after i found it.
There is an app that will uninstall system apps: Root uninstaller, iirc.
Barring that, you can delete system apps by opening the <rom_install>.zip, and going to system->app, next time you flash.
yay that worked.. no wabout that dutch keyboard..
Or even titanium

How to restore dictionary

Hi, Happy new year to all of you. I am using ViprsS Rom and I already got back-up of my dictionary as email attachment. Question is how to restore this back up?

i think you have to download the file to your sd card. if the restore option still doesnt work, then put the file into .data > htc_ime > ___ of your sd card (may need a computer to do this, i cant see this file with es file manager for some reason. put it in there, then restore it
Hi , go to settings, then language and input, then hit "default", i mean go to configure touch input.
Then tap those three thingz at the front of "touch input"
Now there is "personal dicgionary" option existing at the very bottom of da list.
Tap it then the last option is sync, which is relevant to backing up and restoring the dict.

Thanks mate, It works but have to do certain steps, Reason I did superwipe before installing Rom so the folder of backup was removed from sd card. What i did will explain here. First of all added one world to the currently empty dictionery, then did backup which created folder and personaly dictonery file of backup in SD/.Data Then replaced that file with backup file which I have as email attachment and rename to the same. Open setting option and restore dictionery from there. working like charm Thanks again:good::laugh:
