Hello since I'm trying to reproduce my desktop browsing routine on my tablet it happens a lot of time that I open a youtube link or a soundcloud link and in the meanwhile I keep browsing. Obviously when I change tab the sound stops, is
there a workaround ?
why on the earth the youtube app should stop playing when in background ?
no ideas ?

Is anyone aware of an app that will allow you to watch your youtube playlists, and it will jump to the next playlist item automatically? I've scoured appbrain and the app market and I haven't found anything similar yet.
I like to add a lot of random music I find on youtube to playlists and review it later, and it would be nice to listen to this while I'm driving, but the built-in youtube app just plays one item at a time and stops. I know there are a lot of apps that let you download youtube videos to your phone, but that is really too slow and overkill for what I'm trying to do.
I guess Flash on Froyo may be an option once it's available, but it seems like this wouldn't be that hard of an app to put together.
Hi!
I use stock browser, and im happy with it, but there is 1 thing annoying me, that is:
when im playing a online video clip or song, if i switch to other tab it stops playing.
So how to keep browser continues playing online media while im browsing web in other tab?
Thanks!

great app
I searched around xda and couldn't find anything relating to my topic/question.
I was driving and listening to YouTube on my phone, and I got a text message and opened up the text while YouTube was running and YouTube stopped playing music! I know I shouldn't be texting and driving, but that's besides the point >_>
Is there a way to keep YouTube audio running while multitasking on the phone?
Thanks!
Its not just you tube, but any app that shows media on screen either pauses or stops. I think this is the way the apps are built.
I have a galaxy s5 g900t and I have been trying to figure out how to watch video (on mute) while listening to a music player but every time you press play on the music player the video will pause. Many people told me it could not be done without Jailbreaking my phone but after searching lots of apps and floating apps and googling the question I found a video player (dx) and a floating app (floating apps (multitasking) ) that allows me to do just what I want. The dx video player has independent L R volume controls which allow u to mute the video without affecting the phone''s media volume and the floating apps (multitasking) forces its music player to play no matter what else the phone is doing, it will even play music while the phones stock music player is playing music... the problem is that this floating apps application wants far too many permissions and I imagine it is a very heavy app.... I would like to know of another music player app that will play on top of other apps. I have searched through a lot. any suggestions of software would help also.. I am not experienced with rooting phones at all but if I need to I will do it or bring it somebody that can.. I don't love apps that require wild unnatural permissions. . My name is sky and I am in Denver CO in case anybody knows of a cpu savvy person near me. Thank you for your time.
