[Q] How to remove Sense 3.0 lock screen clock - HTC Inspire 4G

Does anyone know how to remove the lock screen clock? I've read in a few places where it's mentioned that you can flash a blank font .ttf file but all the blank .ttf's I've found haven't worked. I've got a .zip file that works to flash fonts, but I've tried to rename several blank .ttf files to Clockopia.ttf and flash and haven't got one to work yet. Is it possible to do this either by the method I describe or via another method. Attached is a pic of my lockscreen with the clock I want removed circled in red.

Can't you just the "wallpaper" home screen?
Whoops, just kidding, I don't know the answer to that question.

I would assume that it would take editing the framework in the htclockscreen.apk
though I could be wrong. I am sure Dilli or another dev will drop by and tell you.

Well I'm pretty sure that clock info is part of the lockscreens framework. As regards to changing to wallpaper, the clock still stays there I belive

The clock will stay there after you change wallpapers.

I know depending on what rom you are using you can over ride the lock screen with a aosp one. On android revolution there is one since I was not a fan of the new lock screen I flashed the patch and bingo no more stupid circle

[APP] Animated Flipclock for Sense 2.2 ROMs

UPDATE 13 Nov 10...You can get the same newest ported version I have below, the stock version to revert back if desired, plus themed versions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817331&highlight=Desire
This is the animated HTC flip clock that came from the HD Desire port. The new clock features numbers that actually flip down as each minute and hour passes. This version can be removed, moved, or re-added as widget to the home screen (or other screens).
You must be Rooted…Make a Nand Backup, just in case…I’m not responsible for problems. It should work on any Sense 2.2 ROMs…YMMV
Apk version must be installed via ADB
Zip version flashed through Recovery
Jim
Credit to Myn for the apk version from his Warm TwoPointTwo ROM.
Thanks to Aamikam for flash zip version from his MikFroYo ROM
There are a bunch of themed ones in the Incredible forum.

These are to my knowledge strictly themed clocks for Incredible Sense. This one I posted looks like the original clock but has animated hour and minutes...they flip as time changes. It can also be added/removed/moved.

oops double post
Any way to get a flashable version?
i made one for my rom users... here u go:
Animated-Flip-Clock
Works great!!!
It would be awesome to get Godzson to incorporate his colors on this clock.

Thanks...had seen the themed and animated clocks before. Version I provided in first post can however be added/removed/moved as a widget w/o problems...that's the big difference. Sure one of the devs will use this version and make themed as well. Then we'll have best of both worlds
Jim
Not working for me... Flashed the .zip through recovery and now there's no clock. Have the "glass" background where the clock should be, but nothing shows and when you long press to add a widget or whatever, nothing happens. Move to another screen and do a long press to add a widget, and when you select the clock, you scroll over to #3 (the standard sense clock/ weather widget), nothing shows except a white square. Everyone else seemed to have no problems, so stupid me, didn't back up before I did this. Gotta figure out how to at least get my standard clock back. Don't know if anyone else has had this problem or not...

Dont quite get your point about the moving, adding, removing etc,
All the ones posted by tomh1979 below can be moved, deleted, added etc.
They have a bunch of themed as well as stock flip clocks. Actually first themed flip clocks i've seen.

The original ported HD Desire flipclock had the following issue:
"You must have the original sense clock installed on you home screen and install the animated flip clock thru recovery. You cannot add as a widget, you cannot remove and try to re-add later...etc. Once again, your original clock must be installed on your home screen, then boot into recovery and install from there and reboot. DO NOT wipe cache or davlik cache when in recovery."
All I did was take Myn's modified flipclock that could be moved, added, removed and made it available to others. Was not trying to theme it or anything else. Many are still using the older ports, even some of the themed ones, which have the above issue.
I just tested the ones from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817331&highlight=Desire and it appears it's the newer port, plus there are themed versions...very nice! Will update first post.

[MOD][HOW TO] Transparent notification bar.

In this thread ill show you how to make that notification bar transparent.
1. take the png's ive attached to this post and place them on your SD card in the folder entitled "android themes"
take note of these file names.
2.open ninjamorph select new project
navigate through: system/framework/framework-res.apk. it will then extract all the files.
then navigate through res/drawable-hdpi.
scroll down to "status_bar_background.png" click it and change it out with the "status_bar_background.png" you placed on your SD card that has the exact same file name....then continue to replace the other 6 png's the same way.
If one of the existing png's in your framework does not match the one Ive provided (for example the existing file on your phone ends in " .9 " ) then rename it to match...not all themes are exactly the same.
3. when your done replacing all 7 png's press the blue back button in ninjamorph, select finish project, select the one that says "framework-resapk"
then just keep clicking "yes" ("yes/yes/ok/yes") then ninjamorph will tell you "ALL DONE!" and your phone will automatically reboot.
this will work fine with "launcher 2" and will most likley work with whatever default launcher that came with whatever ROM you mught be using. BUT...
...!!! when using this mod with ADW launcher, launcher pro
or any home replacement app you will need to use a live wallpaper (I use "shake em all" and then just set my own wallpaper) if you want the notification bar to stay transparent. the pulldown will allways be transparent though. (you can also use a live wallpaper called "multiple wallpapers" )

Do you have to root? Stock launchers work? Very nice work.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
it does look good.
Will this work with gummyjar 2.5?
Root is required to run ninjamorph. This will work on any ROM. Be sure to put pngs in Android Theme folder (imperative). Works best with stock launchers.
update: tried my LWP again and this time it worked. will update after a few re-boots if it changes back to black, but otherwise it worked this time.
been trying to get this to work but the best I can get is my lock screen to work, but when I unlock to any other home screen or if I go to my app drawer, just a black status bar.
I am running Apex 1.3.1, and additionally have changed out my status bar icons. so not sure if that has anything to do with it, does anyone have any thought on that?
thanks for any thoughts/responses.

ps. a lot of my .png's in framwork-res.apk are 9.png's if that matters, and to get to at least where I am (running and clear status bar in lock screen only) I have replaced those with the new ones. When I finish the project in ninja and reboot, it force closes once, I pull the battery and it reboots. Like I say, after that I reboot after the fc and it loads without an error, but does not give me a full transparent status bar.
thanks again for looking and any help.

I was able to navigate to the folder irregardless of location. Metamorph forces you to use Android Theme folder.
I was able to get this to work but as stated in op you must have a lwp for it to work. I thought this would be acceptable but can't find a lwp that doesn't suck battery, and look decent. I purchased the light grid pro and am ok with it. Shakem up wouldnt display my wallpapers right.
Is there no way to get it to work with a static wallpaper? And in the browser its white. Though it could be transparent and white behind it.
Edit: the browser notification bar is white. Where to change? Is possible?

UPDATED.....
some people brought to my attention that, on other themes, some of the png's end in " .9 " so if you run in to a png on your existing framework that does not match the one ive attched to the OP just rename it to match (usually you will just need to add/remove " .9 ")
so i updated the attached files and added a read me to both zips.
Enjoy!

I'm aware of the "grayish white" when in certain apps....to tell you the truth I havent even tried to fix it. sounds like a good thing to try out right now.
shake em all loads my wallpapers just fine.....hmmm,,,you can try "multiple wallpapers"...and see if you like that..i was thinking about making my own live wallpaper that is just blank as can be and doesnt use up memory/battery..and you bet ill post it up in here if i can ever get that accomplished.

you need to rename the png's i provided to match your " .9 " png's..
if you didnt do this im willing to bet thats why ninjamorph force closed and your having issues....try renaming them and going back through to replace.
btw i updated the attached files in the OP.
there are now 2 versions and i added more png's
if you cant remember wich ones were " .9 " then.....
go into...sdcard/android themes/backup/ and youll see a backup of your framework, you can load this backup and start over if necessary.
This will only work on stock launcher and launcher2 with static wallpaper. It seems others have had success using Zeam launcher as well.
I have launcher pro. I've tried both live wallpapers...no success.
How do I change the notifications text to white? I am using a black/glass status bar background and the text isn't readable (black on black)
Hey,
But can you back up it with out the back up of the rom?
I meant if i want to reverse it - can i reverse only what i have done and not to restore the whole ROM?
so ive attempted to do this exactly as your instructions show something like 6 times... nothing is working for me except the transparent drop down menu. also, ive noticed in my /drawable-hdpi folder, i dont have a status_bar_close_on.png to replace your image with in the first place. im running 2.3.3 and im not running a downloaded rom or anything ( i think?) im still using stock everything as far as theming goes.
help!?!??!?!

Changing HTC Sense status bar font

I am using Zegoe as my default font but when I flashed it, it didnt change the font in the status bar (where the clock is). I am unsure why this is...
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Ive been searching, but most of what I am seeing is changing the font color, not the actual font.

That's strange, I'm using the Zegoe font on CM6.1 and it's changed just fine. Maybe it's a Sense issue? Where did you get the zip?

I got it from a thread in this same Incredible Themes and Apps forum. I actually went to an EVO themes thread where there were a bunch of fonts and they all work fine. Odd.
Using IncRom 1.2. (Sense) In that post there is a link to flashable fonts. I have used several and they did change clock in status bar.

[REQ] White statusbar

Can anyone mod our framework to make white statusbar and black icons like in original eclair/froyo? I can put framework-res.apk with such icons/color from Acer Liquid if you need it...
Post the framework res and ill take a look at it. Not promising anything but shouldnt be to hard.
Basically you want white bar with black text right?

Hi,
Not only framework-res.apk is required for this mod., services.jar is essential for changing clock color
I think this guide will help:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9066440&postcount=1
good luck
Tried.. Tab hanged after first boot animation, without vibration or displaying anything..
So, I must wait for clever people to do that
Sorry for my late reply, I was away for work. As Galaxyer stated above more file are need to change the bar to white. I have some early builds locally that I am testing but hopefully by end of week I should have something. If you could post the services.jar file from your acer as well as I could do a diff on the two to see where the clock changes are, that would save time.
Here is services.jar
Do not Add any (framework - service - ect) Files to your Galaxy tab
you will hanging up
That files it very specific should be deference for your mobile
Heres my two cents, you can mod all the icons and the background color but modding the clock color is a huge pita. You need to deodex then reodex, push the new files and reboot. Be forewarned that the first boot after doing odex mods takes a while. You can easily replace the icons by downloading the theme you want then use ninjamorph to make the changes. Hope this helps.

Lock screen live wallpaper

Is there a tweak to enable live wallpapers for the lock screen? I've searched everywhere for this ability and nothing has come up. I think Live Wallpapers would actually be better on the locked screen than in their current form, behind widgets and icons/labels etc.
If not, anyone up for a project to facilitate this ability?
Set a transparent image for the lockscreen wallpaper.
All ROM's other than stock do this by default. I always see the default wallpaper, live or not on the lockscreen.
hmm, weird...
I made a transparent 480x800 .png image, but my lock screen is black[aside from the date and time etc].

Just setting a transparent wallpaper won't work. Has to be placed in the framework-res.apk.
