Hboot question - HTC Inspire 4G

Does Hboot search for the PD98IMG.zip on the root of the SD card or look for it throughout the whole SD card? I ask because I have stock rooted on my SD card and would like to flash a different radio. So can't I just hide the stock rooted in a folder or something? Also I'm on vacation and not near a computer so I can't move the stock rooted off of my SD card. Thanks

It should not be read only unless it is set that way. What are you trying to do? The only thing that should be read only are system files. Use Root explorer or the like to make changes to it.
I didn't move it it just started saying that all of a sudden.

Most likely because official updates look for files on the target device to be identical to the files they are trying to update. If they find a discrepancy, they won't proceed to update the file.
Thanks!

You can download Astro file manager if you're asking how to access the files of your sdcard.

Is it possible to have game data installed onto SD card?

So I bought need for speed but data is around 2 gig. I don't really have that room on my internal storage but I do on my external SD card. Is this possible?
