This is a fairly known issue for other samsung devices with gingerbread, but just so everyone is aware it's a QIK specific issue as far as I can tell.
Inverted video (upside down) when you use the default QIK video chat app.
i'm running bionix and i downloaded the qik video chat app from the market. I try to video chat with another sgs4g running completely stock, but it always disconnects regardless of signal strength or wifi. i tried connecting to another vibrant 4g and i get the same problem. it seems to be an issue with my phone because the other 2 can video chat fine. any known issues/fixes for a problem like this? thank!

Anyone got this to work on your g tablet? I'm getting pops and static on TNT lite.
Anyone got any videochat to work?
AAAHHHH
I am getting the popping and crackling feedback too......Are the speakers broken?
half the time my speakers don't even work, If I boot and they do they stop working as soon as my screen sleeps if not crackle and pop
Also playing with the volume when the sound isn't working will almost certainly force my Gtab to reboot......any ideas?
I have not tried video chat so no clue if it works
yea I'm getting the pop/crack on the test call as well, mp3's play fine, I'm running CM b4.
+1 for the pop/crackle. I was able to get Yahoo working though, at least it appeared to work. My buddy didn't answer the call, but I was able to see myself.
EDIT: I'm still stock, but rooted. Haven't tried any roms yet. Just got mine last night. (Love it by the way.)
Anyone know anything about Skype and getting it to work? I got it installed, but don't see an option for video calling.

Tango wont install correctly
Skype doesnt support video chat
im going to try knocking or qik next
As of right now, Yahoo Messenger appears to be the only one that works.

Yup. I used Yahoo Messenger as well and it worked. Only problem is that the video quality is horrible. I switched to my iphone and it was better on both ends. Hopefully we'll get some good video chat app soon!!!
didn't know were to post this. but since its about our phone i might as well ask.
ive been trying to use qik or fring, both can use back cameras for video calls but it seems not to work properly like it disconnects easliy.does any one else use these programs and having the same problems have any solutions?
I can use Qik. No issues.
do you have to be on wifi or something for this app to work with video chat? i tried it yesterday with my gf and the video is extremely laggy and i can barely even tell who's on the other end of the chat bc it constantly freezes... maybe its me but it seems to not work AT ALL like a video chat should.
Generally, the faster your internet connection the better the video quality is.
Sounds like you might've been in an EDGE only area.
I was using OoVoo on my Froyo HTC Thunderbolt with zero problems. Since getting the cojones to root and then switch OS to Cyanogen 2.3.7 Cyanogen Mod 7.1.1 Build GRJ90, I can't use the video feature in OoVoo. It won't give me the option to make a video call. No audio in the audio call mode. I can still text in OoVoo but that's about it. The video call button doesn't work. If I receive a video call, it says "receiving video" but it never completes the circuit! OoVoo claims they have network-updated Gingerbread Thunderbolts at their offices, three of them to be exact, and have zero problems using OoVoo on them.
Anyone have a similar problem? Or does anyone have a solution? Thanks . . .
Same problem
I have g2x cyanogenmod 7.1.0.1 / 2.3.7 and no video either. Want to switch from skype because picture is upsidedown.
Hey I have searched the forum and so far I have yet to find a solution to my problem. I have the Droid RAZR Maxx HD running on Jellybean. I am not sure if the problem was present before I upgraded to Jellybean.
I don't use video chat very often, but sometimes it comes in handy. Especially handy when you're troubleshooting something remotely. Ok I have tried Tango, Skype, Fring, ooVoo, Google Talk video, and Facebook video. Each one of them seem to do something different. Tango will dial the other person up and start my camera, but it will never let us connect. When I attempt to hang up a Tango call all it does is turn the green light off under the video camera icon, and the video camera stays on. I have to press the home button and force close the app. Skype will just force close if I attempt a video call as will Google+. The ooVoo app allows the video to work fine on both ends but we have zero audio and I've been unsuccessful finding anything in settings to change that. The Fring app let's the other person see me (they were on a Samsung Galaxy Note II), and we can hear each other. I can only see my own camera on my screen, though. So far ooVoo and Fring seem to be the closest to being working apps for me, but they still are not functional enough to be of any use. I contacted Verizon about this on the phone twice and visited the store once. The guy on the phone this morning said that it was likely something with the jellybean upgrade. The guy at the store last night said his works fine with the same kind of phone, but I'm not sure about that personally because I never saw him get it to work. The only phone he tried to initiate a video call with was mine. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me figure out how to get around this. By the way, I also tried clearing the cache and the data for Tango and uninstalling, installed an older version of Tango from Google, but that only force closed. Please let me know if you need more information to help solve this issue, and thanks in advance.
Anyone ? ? ?
