For those of you using Android 2.1 on whatever device, here is the official adobe flash player it. I've installed it on my rooted Android 2.1 Zenithink and it works flawlessly!! the one i got which was from another site, it does work somehow but it is too much bugged, this version for 2.1
So i'll pass until 2.2 froyo comes out for Motorola DEFY
doesn't work on wildfire with cyanogen. got it installed, but crashes the browser every time, even on non-flash sites...
i install in my zt-180, why nothing different.when i view video on web,it see "need flashplayer"?

I used Universal Root to root my tablet, not sure if that makes a difference or not. But I have notice on some websites it works and others it doesn't. I was able to actually load one of the web games from Facebook last night. I didn't release anything, I just installed and it worked! I first tried it on youtube website and it worked.

No way. I found it somewhere else and it's 10.1.

Im using a rooted Cliq with the official 2.1 rom and it doesnt work i tried youtube and it says i need to upgrade my flash player..
I don't know what version it is but it works great on my Samsung Vibrant. Good job man.
Wooaa an Offcial Adobe Flash player for 2.1??? Incredible! Well, now I'm on MyTouch Slide with 3rdSense Rom with 2.2 , and installed this app, but as the previous apks I've tried with, it only installs but doesn't do anything but take space, although... the browser won't show any page ;P
I wonder if I was on 2.1 stock rom, if I could have worked...
If this one for 2.1 is an official, I hope they make an official for 2.2 too

First off I take no credit I jus followed the directions given by others and decided to post for any of those having troubles jus uninstall your old adobe flash and put this one in using astro or what ever file manager you use and it should be golden. And yes this is the most current special thx to Almighty1 for developing the fix and to the others with signature idea if I left anyone out my apologies.
Will not install on stock Sprint EVO. Do you need root for this?

No jus download this and install like any other app and it will work on the hulu app or or the internet jus change your user agent to IE6 its not a fix its the adobe app with the fix already in it jus uninstall the old adobe and put this in gets no easier
Does not work, i tried it with the HULU App and i tried it with HULU.com -- (and i changed the string to desktop in dolphin browser)
On hulu.com it just said that i need to have flash installed (seemed as though it showed i didn't have any flash installed) -- and once i reverted back to stock flash 10.2 it didn't say that anymore
Dont know what to say Ive got some confirmation from another that it worked for him also worked for me so any feedback from others would be appreciated

You did something wrong then, works great for me. Uninstalled the old version, installed this one and voila HULU working with the new version of Flash.

I went into the market and chose uninstall flash 10.2 --
Then i went into ES file explorer and installed the hacked flash from this thread, then i installed the HULU apk
and had no luck.. do i need to do a restart after installing it or something?
am i missing something?
Are you on gingerbread cuz this is a mod for gingerbread I'm pretty sure

Go into applications > development > and check unknown sources.
This worked perfectly for me. Used APK Installer and had Hulu up and running in under two minutes. Thanks a bunch!

I think its as easy as tricking the system into beliving we have a nexus s just as it was for others when the netflix released for only certain htc devices.
If we could just get the nexus s build.prop and change our device name to what theres is i think it would work. anyone have a friend with a rooted nexus s and rootexplorer installed to check it out and post the device name ???

I'm no expert but I do not think it is that easy. If it was it would have been done back when the one for the thunderbolt came out. There is already a thread for it HERE (not Evo specific). If you look at the last page or 2 it is referencing the one that was just released.
Looks like someone confirmed this works on the evo. I did try making a call myself but the other person didn't answer so I cannot confirm it works 100% but it appeared to work fine.

This is working on my EVO. Someone posted a patched APK. I think in the Nexus S forums. Anyhow, works on EVO Shift, S, S2 etc.
I never made an actual video chat but the window loaded up and video was showing via the front cam.
Try it out...
I tried this but the other person couldnt see my video. I could see ny video on my screen but when they enabled their video, mine went black and they couldn't see me.

I can comfirm this patched apk works with video !! I have been waiting for this a long time !!
in the android market, download a file manager and then extract it to a folder on your android phone... and then the apk will show up and hen install it.

skype2_0_45.rar worked for me. One thing though is that until I updated my Mac client to the dreaded 5.1 (user interface fail) from 2.8, video was not working -- when the call started, the video button on the Mac side would actually get grayed out. 5.1 works just fine. Makes me wonder what version is required on the Windows side to be compatible with the Android client.

That doesn't help. The issue is that when I try to download attachments via XDA from my stock browser on my Xoom or Evo it won't download successfully. The download gets to 100% and says unsuccessful.
For some strange reason it does let me down .apk's successfully.

Having issues with video calling - my front camera is not picking up any video. Tried lowering the quality and connecting 4G,Wif,3G all with no success - it's just a black screen on my end - and the spinning circle on the far end.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I seem to be haveing the same problem as gqstatus0685. The zip seems to be empty cannot extract anything from it... running latest stock odexed sense rom likely user error will keep working on it. let me know if anyone has any solutions..

Just navigate to the file with Astro or File Manager and click on it. Make sure you have "Allow install from unknown sources" checked (Settings >> Applications >>). Should install after a double click.

I wonder if Cyanogen is causing my error?
EDIT: Flashed King's 7.3 - works great... Gonna try a few other ROMs to see what happens. At the moment Cyanogenmod's 7 - "update-cm-7.0.3.1-Supersonic" does not allow my video to go through. Will update with further testing.

i think this will work i installed flashliteplugin.apk then the flash player 10 from op rebooted then when to the market an in stalled TV Flash if you dont have flash player in stalled it will tell you need to install it with both it works. still testing it though.
edit if i go to fox tv it loads the player i can double tap and zoom in. im getting video unavailable but the player dose load.
I can confirm this works with zte v9. Tab running cm7.1.it plays any video any game the same as my sgs running 10.3

YouTube loads what "looks" like the built in player, but when I click on the play button, a new black screen shows up that says "loading" and then right after it says "Sorry, this video cannot be played."
Dunno how motivated I am to try any other sites.
hey you guys should try the old build.prop hack to spoof openGL 2.0, maybe the sites or apps you are accessing want that too? It's the line "ro.opengles.version=xxxx" the version should be 131072 ... worth a shot?

Can confirm that it is working on my Optimus V. Watching Strongbad emails and playing games on kongregate web site.
Its a little buggy but it works none the less. Occasionally the browser will close on its own, but it is working.

HeroC owners, have you gotten this to work in the default browser? And if not do you see a performance difference when using dolphin HD?

OK, so at first I thought this was a joke but there is some limited function here. I have been running one of the original Wild builds that I have been tweaking for a good month now. I do get simple flash (still image window rotation) to show up in the stock browser after loading this. All heavy Flash based websites just seem to crash the browser. With the HTC framework we should be able to get Flash Lite to work with some trial and replacement of libs. My question for the above user is did you use the attached Flash Lite app as well as the Adobe app?
I changed from CM9 to CM10 one week ago and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Except of that there is no flash player at all.
I searched all threads and posts on XDA and the web but i couldn't find any solution for this problem which works on the one s. This issue is very important to me because 90% of the whole websites still including flash player and browsing without it sucks big time!! I already installed the flash player apk but still can't get it to run. For me its one of the most important tools and i badly need it. Thats why i started this thread. Thanks for any answers :good:

Restore from Titanium backup? Paul O'Brian had a flash downloader app but it was pulled from the Market...maybe someone can upload?
to get the apk isn't the problem. i already installed this, but it will not work. the app by itself is working fine (i open it like on cm9 and it goes straight via browser to settings and it allows me to change the option) but when i open for example youtube by boat or dolphin it opens the usual flash window and it starts to load but this is it..
I remember reading something about Adobe Flash player not getting support anymore for 4.0.4.
The stock browser supports flash anything else like Dolphin will not work.

I installed the latest nightlies rom of cyanogenmod (from xkonni's CM10 20120815 to nightlies CM10 20120829). After flashing this rom, FLASH PLAYER works for me now. With stock browser and even with boat browser or dolphin browser. I don't know why but i'm so happy with it!!!! Thanks to the developer very big!!!

Can you provide a link? I've been searching all over their website and I couldn't find anything that was jelly bean related, only a link to that play site where when you try to download it says it's incompatible
