i used to be able to download .apk files all day long but now al of a sudden every time i download them they get downloaded as .html?? does anyone know how to fix this?

Is it trying to open it after downloading it? I had an issue where I had to exit the browser and open the apk in Root Explorer. It seems to handle it better.

so i have an hd2. it hasn't been working properly for a few days. lots of freezing. i heard that i can ditch windows and install android. well when i followed the steps to install the files, they always download onto the computer as adobe files. no matter where i downloaded from it did the same thing. can someone help me? i need my phone!

WHat i expect is probably happening is that your downloads are just fine (mainly zip or 7zip files) but that your file association on your computer is a little screwed up??
You should change the association and i reckon that will sort your problem out

When i try to download files to my xoom sometimes it just dont download at all. It just stays there , if i get the notification of 100% then the file wont run and sometimes i get the file with the extension .htm i try renaming it to the original extension but cant run it.Sometimes i try to download files higher than 600mb and it disconect my internet. I dont know if its the main browser or do i need other app to make my downloads more easy. I dont have this kind of problem with my SE x10i so im worried . thanks
Hello! Before you tell me to search the forum for it, I just spent the last 30 minutes searching through and found nothing. Everything I found either had broken links or they were forcing me to download a file downloader program like ilivid or whatever. I shouldn't have to download these file managers that corrupt my computer to get one file. Does anyone have a straight-up download where I can get a stock file for this phone? Thanks ahead of time.
