Hey,got a quick question: I'm trying to install the red icons with better cut - There's a few that won't let me change them, like messages, people,and camera...says "the linked program is no longer installed on your phone" Any ideas of how I can get them to change? It will create the icon,but when I press it, that's the message I get. It's not the red icons, because it'll do it with any icon or pic I try. It has something to do with the particular app itself... any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Try using Folder Organizer Lite from the Market and see if it can change the icons.

File organizer works awesome, still can't change the messages icon tho... it changes for a sec,bet immediately switches back to default...all the others worked - needed full version of the app to add them to my homescreen,but no biggie,only $1.25,and worth it. Any ideas why the messages app can't be changed? Does it need to be renamed or something of the sort? Sorry to hijack your thread JB... Thanks a lot!

The more red thread is more of a mix and match smorgasbord... plus this theme is pretty much completely my own work. I literally redrew a few hundred .9 pngs...
I like cubanaso's red theme but i wanted something that blended with stock sense a little bit more. The other thread will remain open for parts and this one will be maintained for Sense builds.

Hey! First off, love your theme's! Second I had been using the old red framework theme, and currently just loaded your new red one from here. My question is why didn't you add in the same "phone bar" (not sure the technical term for it) from the old red one to the new one? Just curious cause I thought it looked cooler

Something i noticed in the pmf theme
the Mail icon, the word "mail" is lower than the rest of the other icons text, so if its on the bottom row of a screen the word mail bottom half is cut off

Ok, so I'm rockin' the PMF 1.1 ROM,with your awesome red theme for it - I love it! The one thing I noticed,the google search widget isn't skinned. Wondering if you plan on skinning that out? Also, I have pandora,and wondering if it's possible if you could skin that widget out as well? No biggie-just curious. Thanks a lot!
I decided to do my own based off of JD's and Original Android <3ers! , also credit to tr.slate for the blue androids for when connecting to pc.
Anyone who wants to mod the file please do, any enhancements you want to add please do.
this is the Desire theme, just with tr.slate's androids, hope you all like it, and give a big cheer for these guys.
the background is not part of the theme thats a ADW launcher theme from the market called iDroids.
by the way you will still have to change to white as in the old JD theme, and you FLASH this Via Amon_RA 1.7.0.1 or clockwork (not tried this one).
Right i have also made a MORPH if anyone wishes to try it, REMEMBER do NANDROID first i am not in any way held responsible for any damages or loses.

right desiretheme white is with the car nav notification white, it is not great but im not a graphics designer, also have change sms and mms notifications smily face to green. and also the gmail notification is now a little symbol of the gmail icon.

DesireTheme(612).zip (i.e. not morph) on a cm6 nightly from yesterday. Took awhile to track down all the places you have to manually change notification text colors, but well worth it.

Morph didn't work on 055406. It applies ok, but nothing is changed after a reboot.
Ok will have to look into that.

ok, uploaded a changed morph. let me know if this works. i had a .thm file and .xml file in there, dunno if thats causing the prob, i have removed the .thm file and left the xml file. see if this works.
It works now. Turns out TiBackup did not restore the market link for MM so there was an update I could not see. Thanks for this man, it looks good.

I noticed that the "car home" icon that shows up in the status bar when using the car dock is still the default black icon (on the now black status bar). What're the chances of getting a reverse car dock status bar icon in some future update?

How to install:Important!
You will need to download Koush's bootstrap application and bootstrap your recovery. Then you can boot into recovery via the same app or you can install via ROM Manager(by rebooting into recovery, not via install rom from sdcard). Once you boot into recovery do a FULL nandroid backup and then you go to mounts and storage and mount /system manually to avoid more issues. Install zip from sdcard and toggle signature verification to disable. Now you can install the zip from the sdcard. Once this is done, reboot.

I was currently in the process of installing Epic Unleashed 1.1! when I just saw this, lol.
I'm having the "stuck on the M screen" after I installed Epic Unleashed 1.1 from Bootstrapper and restarting the phone. I've pulled the battery and everything loads up fine but didn't see Epic under the Android Version.. So I tried to reboot the phone using bootstrapper recovery.. It then becomes stuck on the M screen again.
Additionally.. I tried using Rom Manager to get into Recovery mode but I just get a screen of the Android with a !.. What are my options at this point?

The date in the notification bar comes out black for me and also when it says checking SD card it comes out black. Everything else looks good though. Thanks!

I like it. Blur removal is similar to Tranquility Rom, which I like.
A few minor issues though:
1. As stated earlier, notification text is still black: date, sdcard, and any text displayed similar as these items.
2. Progress bars have vertical white lines breaking it up. Does not look nice.
3. Swype is busted after flash, but if you install the one from the Droid 2 dump you can get past this issue.
4. It does not appear that you include all of the FM radio libraries and servies. You include the APK and one library, but you are missing the other two libraries in system/lib and you are missing the FM radio service in system/bin. This will cause the FM radio to not work.
Again these issues are minor, and overall I like Epic 2.0. Look forward to the polishing. I think it is almost there. Thanks for your efforts.

The progress bars are blur it self, not my doing. This does not completely remove blur as I stated before. Swype was removed from the system/app folder because I got a email requesting its removal threatening legal action. I will look at the FM radio. Sorry about that, just found the apk and threw it in there. Didn't know I needed extra things Thanks for telling me!

Cool, Swype is no big deal or the radio thing.
I am curious about the progress bar. I am not referring to the moving angled white bars, but I am referring to new straight bars that are breaking up the progress bar into segments. I know the scrolling angled white bars are normal, but not the white lines running completely vertical that don't move(I think I said horiz early but I meant vertical).

I know what you mean about the progress bar. I am not sure exactly what it is, but it isn't my doing. It is stupid Blur. You can go try another blur removed rom and it would still happen, sorry :/ I am gonna look at it tho

I didn't see it on Tranquility. Are you sure it doesn't have to do with the framework edits to get the black bar? I don't mean directly, but maybe indirectly. It is a curious artifact either way. Kind of jarring in the UI.

I noticed when you are pulling down the notification window, you see a transparent box extending past the notification drawer. It is faint, but once you see it, you can't unsee it. You can see it in mid pull, it is a bit odd.
Try it when you have an application with a white screen like the browser.

That isn't just my rom in general. It is blur once again actually. When I had my D1 and I used the Droid X theme I saw that too.

I see. Your probably right. It is one of those things you don't notice until you notice it. I have noticed a number of quirks with the blur theme on a stock phone, so you are probably right. It's like they don't have quality control.
update: I just did a nandroid restore of my Tranquility Rom and noticed that these blur quirks do not exist on my phone, neither the black notification box or the progress bar issue. It appears these issues can be fixed. Maybe you should contact the Tranquility guy.
Yours and his are very similar, but the black bar got me and I flashed yours, these quirks though really distract for me. I hope you can figure theme out. Who knows, maybe when I get some free time, I will look into myself.
Hi All,
I've been trying to figure out how to theme by taking a theme apart and then comparing stuff to my phone. I got "most" of the Revolution Theme working properly on my Mez. It was taken from the Fascinate Theme Thread...
The only thing that I've found that has a force close is trying to go into sound settings...
Anyone know where that file is in the theme pack that I need to change?

OK, I got it working. I had to pull out my Settings.apk, make the changes to it and then put it back into the package. Seems to be working well now.
The only thing that hasn't changed that I want to change is the lock screen. Anyone know what files specifically need to be modded to change that?
Anyone interested in trying it out? Remember to do a backup before giving this a try!

I'll be looking at it too, as this goes along with what I'm doing while I'm on vacation anyway. I am not 100% sure, but I think the lock screen and a few other things that you are going to want, are going to be in the framework.res.
Another note, this uses aosp mms.apk which has a problem still with sending and receiving picture messages.
I got it installed. (Sorry it took so long, I didn't realize I was at 3% battery when I posted)
Installed with no issues, however I'm getting a big difference in the battery meter. My widget says 65%, the rpm battery gauge says 80%.
Also, it reinstalled Mail, which I had taken off in the Pick-n-Pack. Was that in the zip?
Yes, mail was included as one if the customized apps. Hmmm, you didn't want mail? Not sure how to remove that. Do you liked it? I live the font and different icon scheme.

I unzipped it, system-app, and took out the programs I didn't like. All in all it looks pretty good. I will use it again when the mms issue is fixed (I send A LOT of picture messages)

Just as a thought, you might want to change the name slightly. The DJ05 part of the name has to do with the release version. The Mesmerize is currently on DI14. Nothing critical right now, just confusing if and when we start getting updates and things need to be changed for themes to work with different ROMs.

Yes, make a backup using Clockwork or Rom Manager first, then boot into Clockwork recovery. Scroll to Install from zip. Select "Choose zip" then navigate to it on your SD card. Select it and it will install. Let me know how you like it.

Dude this is awesome! I love the notification bar (transparency, GPS/wifi/etc icons, black, signal & battle icons), and the font, and the way the texting looks (even though I only use Google voice) and the search bar, and stars and checkmarks, and loading icon.
A couple issues I have with it though:
+When you hit the menu button, its impossible to read the black text on the black background the text should be white or grey I think
+ the battery meter isn't very accurate (according to "battery status"). I would love if the battery could be more accurate, because the app I have right now has almost the same icon for telling how full the batt is (only yours looks way cooler, and its on the other side of the notif bar, which I like)
+Then the last thing is this font, which I think there's something I can do to fix. I like the font on my keyboard and in menus and stuff, but I don't really want it on every webpage and text. I use dolphin browser, you know what I could do?
Last thing, is it possible to make Google voice look like the normal texting app, or different in any way? I'm not a huge fan if the way it is now.

Trying this out on my Super Clean .3 rom with voodoo kernel.
Can confirm that this works and is sexy; I agree with the three gripes above though. Can't read the menu buttons, battery isn't perfect, and the font is a bit annoying. If possible the status bar might look a little better with a slight gradient, though that might just be the wallpaper or whatever. Overall, this is a good theme.

A couple more spots I've noticed the font is a hard color...
-android keyboard, white squares appear above the letters you press with no letters in them.
-on notification bar, most apps have white text and is a bit difficult to read on grey background.
-theres another one that I forgot where now....
And since I flashed this my YouTube isn't working, and I can't download from mediafire.... haha I think that might be a fluke, but Its weird: s

Well, after the fiasco that was "feelin' blue" I got together with GunnerMike to create a new blue theme, and I feel this one is much better than feelin' blue was. I've put a lot of work into getting this to a point that I don't think there is really anything else to change, so its time to be released.

After several difference request for different changes and whatnot, there are now a total of 12 different versions of this this theme that are available. I will group them by the overlay I used on the Dialer. GunnerMike gave me a lot of help on this one. A LOT of help. The mms.apk I used came directly from him, as well as some images (which I made minor changes to), namely the tab images you see in the dialer, contacts, and clock, as well as the status bar, and the background in the dropdown of the status bar. Also the overlay of the face for the dialer buttons. So I owe him a lot of thanks for his efforts to help me. If you don't know his work, check out some of his themes (mostly for Gummy I believe).
As usual, flash this theme at your own risk, myself, xda, nor anyone other than yourself is responsible for damages to your phone.

Gunnermike is a great helper. Hes taught me a lot too but I cant decompile **** at my job but I can at my house. But when I'm at home then I cant recompile it, lol.
Just change out that background, it doesnt match but good job.

Yeah but... You can make a colorful theme, this one is supposed to be blue. Its just when other people read the thread title they are going to assume all blue. You can start a new project .

I flashed this and it looks Great! I love the face in the dial pad too, BUT...I don't think my wife "gets" it! lol
Any way to just theme the dial pad with a blue Droid Eye or something? Just asking....

No, you cannot. I added it to the theme and it looked bad because it was blue on blue. I could add it but in a different color.
That would be awesome. I'm a fan of the honeycomb battery. But at the least. Just some sort of circular battery

I've updated the OP with what should hopefully be the final update. I've added a new dialer option and made the download section a little more understandable.
